Impeccable food, service, and family style ambiance. The gyros was surprisingly not greasy. The carrot cake and cannoli cheesecake are so delicious. You cannot pass it up. My husband and I were very eager too come here being Greek he's always looking for a good Greek spot and I guess that journey continues because this spot is not it . The service was the absolute worst . Our server was on her phone forgot our drinks and brought me the wrong entree . The place was dead and its sucks because the menu wasn't awful but the staff need a major upgrade . The food was cold and tasteless . Briki Cafe is a great spot with a menu full of good options and desserts are truly out of this world! We've both dined in and ordered takeout several times. Dining in is always a wonderful experience, but takeout has been less than satisfactory. Stumbled upon Briki's after not wanting to wait for Brunch Cafe. I am so glad we came. My husband and I were sat immediately, service was prompt and polite. Food came out piping hot. I got the corn beef skillet and it is actually real corn beef!! Not the canned garbage crap. My husband got a biscuit and gravy concoction that he said was phenomenal. My friend and I got seated immediately and given menus and waters. The waitress came in the beginning to ask what we wanted and we needed a few more minutes because we've never been here before. However, after that she didn't come back for a long time. We were waiting for her to come back and she was just sitting with other coworkers across the room since it wasn't busy. But the place did overall have a really cute inside and decor. When the food came, the burger was really good but the cheese tasted okay, but the bourbon glaze made it really good. Also, I wasn't asked how I wanted my burger so it was very well done instead of just medium. Also, the fries were good, but did seem a bit cold. read more

I remember many years ago, driving by and saw this location in a strip mall off of Lake St., Addison. I did not know if it was a members only club but I always saw people in front hanging out. I did not know that was an actual sitdown restaurant/café. Well, looking for somewhere to stay local I decided to go with my wife and check this place out. They have tables in front that she could sit at, but of course the day that we went it was quite windy. We decided to go inside and I was shocked how large the restaurant actually is. Decorating and the aesthetic is very modern white paint with dark hues of color very modern looking inside. We were greeted by staff immediately. Everyone was extremely friendly while looking over the menu. It is classic diner food, but also they have a Mediterranean touch to some of their dishes, such as classic Gyros and also offer Gyro flights We could try a different meet with each one of your pita wraps. They also have Mediterranean bowls, which my wife absolutely loves. I decided to try there three Mediterranean spreads with their pita as an appetizer. The spreads that I chose was Taziki hummus and garlic spread. The platter came out with vegetables and a couple of pita triangles it was a fresh and refreshing appetizer before a savory salty meal. The spreads are delicious. My least favorite dough was the garlic bread. I did not like it course consistency, but the Taziki was out of this world and also the hummus was my favorite. After we received our appetizer did not take long for our main dishes to arrive the table. Gyro flight was absolutely massive. The portions were so big. my wife's bowl also was quite large. I could've shared a dish with my wife that's how big the portions are. Everything was extremely on point. The food was delicious. The fries were homemade every three months fresh. Nothing tasted old. After we ate, we noticed they had a backroom lounge which held some slot machines. we decided to go check it out and played a couple games not using much money but just to relax. They have two couches in there with a large TV to watch a sports game that may be on. They also hold many events such as casino nights. We had such a good experience that we actually went back a second time and I tried their mini max, which is a take on a big Mac, but it mini sliders they were delicious was fresh and made to order. Service was top-notch. I will definitely make a new spot that I will frequent. It is so close to my home. If you're looking for somewhere, that's very low-key and relaxing with good food. I totally dislike giving anything under a 3, but it's so hard to look past a few things from today. Got seated with my kids, ordered their food, it came out fairly quickly, they had French toast with strawberries, no frills, waitress didn't bring out any syrup with it, had to ask. Parents joined us, had to go grab an extra seat since the booth was small. Took awhile for waitress to come back for our order. Ordered a tea which we had to request like 3 times because it kept being forgotten about. Mostly young female staff, nice but not super attentive. Note for people who prefer covid cautions: Staff DID NOT have masks on . Waitresses, hosts etc were not wearing masks which I personally thought was odd, since every other restaurant in IL enforces this. French toast and strawberries: good not great, kids liked it. Large portion. Avgolomeno soup: I don't recommend, it was super watered down and looked like canned chicken was used. Vegetable skillet: I didn't like the way it was cooked honestly. Vegetables were all over cooked and I could taste the amount of butter used on it, pretty much beats the purpose of ordering a egg white skillet with veggies. *asked for cheese on the side and it was served in a cup, noticed a few moldy shreds, had to send it back. Ugh. Usually a manager would apologize or comp or discount for this type of thing, but no one blinked an eye at it Pancakes: good, large amount Omelettes: seemed good, didn't try. mom ordered it. In short, they serve huge portions, but quality is questionable. Bathroom smelled awful and needed to be cleaned. Not sure whats up with this place. I had asked for gyro meat instead of chicken. It looks as if I received chicken gyro? Hard to tell, was overly cooked and not edible due to being hard and dry. I've been here in the past, usually a good salad, however I will not be ordering from here again, what set me over the edge is the price and downsized containers, $22 for this paltry salad. We went here for a family dinner. The food was subpar and the menu prices did not match our final bill. Unfortunately, we did not notice until we got home that we were charged more than menu price on more than one item. Menus should be updated if prices go up. Came here yesterday which was on a Sunday, waited 15 minutes before I got a waitress once I was seated. I ordered steak and eggs and the steak was not that appetizing.. my grapefruit juice was warm, and my English muffin wasn't all the way cooked. Then when I asked for the check, the waitress gave me somebody else's bill which was $155 I had to chase her down to let her know I had the wrong bill . Then when I got my bill, they charge you 3%. If you pay with a credit card won't be going back there anymore too many problems for a place that doesn't have great food or a good service read more

Like some of the other reviews said, food is great, but service needs some help. I've gone here a couple of times and the first time, we didn't have any issues with service. The second time, we did. Even the table behind us seemed annoyed because the guy got up to go in the restaurant because he was tired of waiting on the waitress. Advice to the owners, fix your service or else you'll lose a lot of business. As for the food, it is great. They have really good gyros. I had the spicy flamenco wrap and I have to say it's one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It was very close to a Chipotle wrap. The seating inside and out is very nice. We don't have too many outdoor seating in Addison, so it's a nice touch to be able to sit outside and enjoy a drink. I hope they can work on their service so I can be a regular there. read more

I was recommended this restaurant by a family friend, who never leads me astray. Sadly the recommendation was not valid. I truly am not trying to complain, because the food was edible, but I will mention a couple of things that influenced me to not come here again. The waitress took an unreasonable amount of time to come take our orders, although she was prompt with getting our waters to us. We waited 15 mins in between getting our drinks and getting our orders taken. Then, we waited another half an hour for our food. I thought the lamb was being slaughtered, although I don't think even that takes 30 mins. The waitress did not give us silverware, napkins, or condiments and we had to ask the food runner to bring those items to us (who was lovely btw). When we got our food, all of the meat was overdone, and some parts of our gyro were charred and literally hard. Also the alfredo sauce has absolutely no flavor, as well as the fries, which were also burnt. Remember friends, we did not receive salt or pepper until the grace of God gifted us the food runners presence. We decided against dessert because we did not feel like sitting at the restaurant for another hour, otherwise we would have missed the start of Love Island. But hey! Give it a try if you have the virtue of patience. read more

Me and my friend dined in for lunch on a Sunday and the food was fine. I do realize most of the staff is young, and I genuinely believe that's their downfall, because absolutely none of them were friendly or smiling or checked up on us. Our server took ages in between each visit back to our table. I had an issue with the smoothie containing dairy, since it had absolutely no indication on the menu regarding dairy. I planned on telling my waitress, however she took about 40 minutes to check back up with us on a relatively calmer lunchtime. By the time she got back, I just wanted to pay and leave. Also to add, I'm pretty sure the smoothies are 99% plain, bitter yogurt. The flavors were supposed to be mango, strawberry, and pineapple-- it tasted like none of those. My visits before have been just for desserts or coffee, so I've never dined in, but I have always always noticed how unfriendly the staff is, and it could be the same recurring young servers I'm seeing, but I've just simply never had a good experience at this cafe. Once again, the food itself is fine-- nothing spectacular-- but the service is awful. Made the trip such a disappointment. read more

I came here to have lunch and was pretty excited because it has really good reviews. I really wanted to try the grilled octopus for the longest time. So I was ready to put in my order and enjoy the yummy food. I ordered the village salad and the octopus appetizer. When I had received my salad it was so weird. The ingredients or so low quality it looked The salad has been marinated in olive oil for a very very long time. Causing it to be soggy looking. The tomatoes were so soft had no bite I was so disappointed. Basically the salad had no flavor at all. The octopus was so odd as well. Almost as if it came out from a can. That's how soft the octopus was. It had the most strangest texture to it and the taste of it was not that great. My mom and I came here. It looks like a fast casual place but it is a dine in restaurant with service. I got the gyro lamb pita and upgraded to the greek fries (they just throw feta cheese on top).
