A very beautiful spiritual experience. I have been before in but in spring time the grounds are breathtaking. Be sure to stop into the chapel and check out the stained glass. Can't even describe how beautiful they are when the light shines through. Beyond all of that the fudge is delicious!

Fantastic fudge made on site by the Brigattine monks. A must stop when you're in this area. Absolutely delicious.

Ran into this place on a road trip through Oregon. We were in the midst of farmlands and not much of anything when several winery signs popped up, and the Monastery. I had remembered the name of the monastery from reading a magazine of things to see if you happen to have time while visiting the area. I am so glad we stopped. There is a small modern church connected to the monastery and shop. You can take a look inside the church. It is serene and peaceful. The shop is small and a friendly lady welcomed us and gave us some samples. The samples sell the chocolate. It wasn't even a flavor I usually like. They not only tasted amazing, but they are also BEAUTIFUL! The truffles are on the larger size. These are not bitesize. They are definitely two bites per chocolate. My husband and I shared them. There are many flavors to choose from. You can buy them fresh, or purchase a pre-packaged box. We bought some for us to share, and to bring home for colleagues. I was concerned that the boxed chocolate would not taste as good as the brand spanking fresh newbies. However, the boxed chocolates made it safely home and still tasted incredible! There is a reason these chocolates have been highlighted in many well-known magazines. They are incredible!! They also ship! I wish I had bought more. They would make excellent Christmas gifts. If you are in the area. Definitely stop!

Great truffles and fudge! Best I have had. If the monks make anyone feel creepy it is because they don't have enough peace in their life.

We arrived early and our movie didn't start for a few more hours, so we decided to kill some time at My Candy Fix and the next door GameStop. While in My Candy Fix, I noticed they had Sno-Biz snocones. We got some candy and walked around the mall a little bit before returning. I got a small size snocone and had to wait a little while as the cashier had to tend to other customers. Once the other customers were helped, I got my cone, and John offered to put in some extra to compensate the wait. One of my friends wanted to know what the snocone syrup tasted like, and offered to buy a small size without any ice. John told him that there was no need to pay, and gave him a "shot" of strawberry snocone syrup. After that, my other friend wanted to try the Rube Goldberg-esque gumball machine. Towards the end of the gumball's ride, it fell off the track. It still fell into the dispenser, but we still wanted to know what happened at the end. That's when John came over and put in his own coins to see why the gumball fell off. After finding out, he too a gumball from the top of the machine and put it on the remaining part of the track so we could see how it ends. And he also let us keep the test-gumballs! Overall, my experience was incredible and without John, it would've just been another run-of-the-mill candy store. But John made my friends and my experience worthwhile, and I'll be sure to drop by again.

I'll be honest, I am a slave to chocolate…read more When I saw the sign "Chocolates" I was compelled and literally had no choice but to march right into the tiny little chocolate shop. The shop is very simple, no seating, not really decorated or anything, just adorned with cases filled with beautiful chocolates. I knew I wasn't getting out of there with just one. Nope. I had to have 4 as follows: 1. Dark chocolate honey caramel with sea salt. 2. Pumpkin ganache with pie spices 3. Marshmallow with milk chocolate 4. Orange ganache with white chocolate The little chocolate lovelies were put in a clear baggie - a box would have been preferable. I discovered that if I ate one, I felt obligated to eat another and so on and so on...until I ate everything in the whole damn baggie. Once again I have demonstrated that I cannot be trusted to be alone with chocolate. 2014 - Review # 92

I heart Honest Chocolates…read more The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They use local ingredients. The prices are reasonable. Most importantly the chocolates are delicious. My favorite is the Dark Chocolate honey caramel with French Sea salt. The only tiny negative, I wish they would box their chocolates instead of put them in plastic bags, I don't like digging through a bag when I buy a pound, it can damage the chocolate. Boxes are so much more elegant. Be sure to stop by when you are in Oregon wine country.

I'm so glad I tried it because I hadn't been planning to get anything but once I tasted it, it had me SOLD. I was so sad when I finished the bar even though I was savoring it like Charlie from the Chocolate Factory book BUT I'm buying a whole bunch for my family's stocking stuffers for Christmas (they each picked out their own flavor and I'll order them all together) and for my own Christmas presents, hehe. So excited to try more flavors but mainly, to have my favorite brown butter chocolate again! Really high quality chocolate, have never experienced such a rich and complex taste in chocolate that melts so beautifully in my mouth. Normally I'm a die hard dark chocolate fan but the brown butter milk chocolate is so rich that it gives dark chocolate vibes. PS Thanks to the sweet cashier for changing my chocolate life forever!!
