Notice that the store is closed to retail sales. Taken March 2019.

This is a review based on past visits. They are currently closed to retail and distribute through other retailers. This shop is across from the dance studio and on the same block as the movie theater. It was supper convenient to get chocolate before dance or before a movie since they would close at 6p. They always had a great selection of dark chocolate and my daughter loved the sea salt Carmel.

Honey sea salt caramels!

Fabulous caramels! The lavender caramels are out of this world, as is everything else.... their bark is also not to be missed!

Great little shop & good chocolate! I shipped some to my mom for Mother's Day and it stayed intact!

It's worth even an hour drive and it's in a cool bookstore. Lots of great seating.. The guy behind the counter was very personable. I want to make sure that he had our waffle cones prepared fresh for us if we wanted them while we decided what flavors we wanted. It's really cool. They have a kids cone too.

Just what you need on a hot summer day right in the heart of Newberg! They've got coffee! They've got books! A chill place to relax and hangout. I finally made the trip after seeing someone post about the cherry cheesecake ice cream (seasonal flavor) a while back. Amazing!!!! I'm hoping they will have it again in their rotation. Today I had the cherry almond and the hubby had blueberry. You can sample the flavors before you commit to a flavor. I sampled the cold brew which is also tasty but I wanted fruity. They sell pints to take home which works out when you can't decide on what to get. Just take the flavor home with you. Employees are great! Cute shop! Fun place to stop! ***side note, the menu I'm posting is from my first visit and NOT what is there today.

Briar Rose Creamy, which specializes in cows milk cheese, offers an open window for sample tasting, which is accessible after driving down a gravel road in Dundee. Their cheese is served on cheese & charcuterie boards at nearby Dundee Hills & Willamette Valley wineries. We were offered samples by the cheese maker's husband, who shared the story of their business, her journey from her early days at Cowgirl Creamy in Marin, to starting her own company, & advised us on their offerings. While tasting, we could see straight back into the cheese making facility, with people busy at work. It just doesn't get any closer to the source than that. We enjoyed each Briar Rose cheese we tried, but particularly the Butterbaby, a soft bloomy rind Guernsey cow's milk cheese, and their sweet, tangy, spreadable formage blanc. I wish they had been tasting their semi-soft cheese washed in Riesling and wrapped in Spruce bark, called Strapping Evelyn, but it wasn't available to sample the day we stopped by. We picked up several cheeses to take home. A must for anyone who likes an authentic farm stand experience.

As we entered that evening, the place was packed and very buzzy (loved it!), and we were greeted like family! Seated immediately, Dario (owner/chef) came to our table with warm greetings and assistance with wine, giving us a blind taste of 3; we ordered two bottles of the biggest one. Then the bread basket, oh my goodness, gigantic with focaccia overflowing. The beet salad had hundreds of beets, couldn't finish it, but tasty. Then the entrees.... my husband had lasagne, loved the cheesiness and delicious flavor; my dish, Pappardelle al Cinghiale, was huge, enough for at last two, maybe three, I would say. And so delicious, but I had to take half home; the braising sauce was killer! Service was impeccable, warm and friendly, very Italian! Thanks, Dario, for a really fantastic experience!
