Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, lots of people of all ages (people with babies and little toddlers, too!) and some tv. I came for my friend's birthday! People directed me where to go and helped me get a drink. The bathrooms were clean and the place was well lit and people were around if you needed anything. My friend brought decorations and pizza and noodles and fun stuff for her party, and we had a great time. I was just sorry I had to leave early but happy I made it up from Tacoma.

After purchasing a frosé, I joined my girlfriend at your outdoor picnic tables. Because she had forgotten her ID, she responsibly remained outside and never once entered the establishment. I was permitted to purchase my beverage, complete the transaction, and walk right past your staff to the outdoor seating area without a single word being said to me. About halfway through my drink, an employee came outside to abruptly inform me that the picnic tables were closed. This was entirely unexpected, as your own signage reads "No alcohol beyond this point," which explicitly implies that alcohol is permitted within the designated picnic area. When I reasonably requested a refund due to this sudden restriction, the employee became incredibly defensive and dismissive, complaining that he "would be losing money." The lack of proactive communication and the sheer rudeness of the interaction were entirely unacceptable. If your outdoor seating is closed, it is management's responsibility to clearly signpost that fact--or, at the very least, have staff notify customers before taking their money. Your employee watched me exit the building with my drink, yet chose to wait until I was halfway finished to confront me, only to handle his own oversight with an attitude. I expected far better hospitality and professional courtesy. I hope this matter is addressed with your staff to ensure future paying customers are treated with basic respect.

I ended up grabbing two 6-packs and a can of beer. My wife came from the nearby Lenny's to help me select the goods and carry them to the front of the store. The guy working there was nice and asked to see my ID, which I did. He then proceeded to ask my wife for her ID, which she didn't have on her. He was really apologetic and basically said it was required by law to see both of our ID's, as they didn't want to lose their alcohol license in the case that my wife was underaged. I get it. But as my wife was fervently looking for some way to prove her age, a woman (I'm guessing the manager or the guy's boss) came over. She basically kept saying no to me and my wife, and when my wife found her COVID vaccine card with her birthday, she rudely cut my wife off and still said no to us, that her ID must have her photo on it. I asked if I could come back another day to buy the beer by myself, and she rudely told me no, that I have to bring my wife along for her to show her ID. We basically stormed out after that, as we didn't want to deal with her attitude or rudeness anymore. So I'm basically banned now from buying beer here unless my wife can come with me to show her ID? That's dumb. In the end, I get the law. They don't want to risk their license. But the way the woman treated us was rude, condescending, and demeaning. She wouldn't let us get a word out, and she basically shooed us away. The guy was kind and apologetic, but his female counterpart (Manager? Coworker?) left a sour taste in our mouths and was 100% unpleasant to work with. Well, to whoever she is, good job. You just lost our business.
