I was a little nervous about using a new shop, but my fears were immediately allayed. I called for an appointment and got one the very next day. A few hours after leaving the car, I got a call explaining what repairs were needed, and also what maintenance was recommended, with a very clear explanation of both, and a price for each. The repairs were completed the next day. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient, and I was delighted to learn that Sullivan Tire is an employee-owned business. Then it got even better. My check-engine light came on again, after just a few miles of driving. I called the shop and again, I got an appointment right away. They addressed the problem immediately, test drove the car, and had it back to me within a couple of hours. And there was no charge. This is my garage from now on!

The free one is just a simple visual check. The paid one is just for them to look deeper. I said I just want the free brake check since the car passed inspection 2 weeks ago. After he looked at my brakes, he said everything was ok. He simply explained the health of the brakes to me once. I asked him if he could repeat one more time so I can write down the details. He refuses and said, "I only said it once". I was shocked for his attitude. I really don't like this type of customer service. He is just too lazy to do anything. Just sitting there and playing with his phone. Claimed to be the "super star". This is ridiculous! People need to grow up.

The reason I trust that to be the truth is that he invited me into the garage to see the damage for myself - it was completely rusted. I waited about 10 minutes for one car ahead of me. Then went for a 15 minute walk why they took care of mine. You need to pay the $35 in cash.
