I have unfortunately been mislead on some major points with these folks 1. I asked and was told CLEARLY that I would NOT be charged to get my website back or to move it to another web host. I expect if I hadnt asked directly it would have been in the contract without me realizing it, taking advantage of the fact that I didnt know that they would host the web content I spent years building on my own, over a hundred pages of original content written by me and then try to tell me I have to pay them to get it back. Not a great business model. 2. The compnay was sold and the quality of service for requested updates went way down. It used to be that folks would really add to the design element when I sent content. Now, the folks respond promptly and politely with bare minimum service. I now send very detailed emails with things like please use the same font as the rest of the website, and keep the lay out in step with the rest of the page you're adding the content too. I do this because if I don't they literally cut and past the exact thing I put in the email. So, it was WAY easier to update my website when I was building myself, because now I have to explain everything I want done, which takes longer than doing it myself and that AFTER I created all content myself. 3. I was also told that the website would have better SEO than my previous SEO I had build myself and that is. NOT the case. The LOADTIME for the website BV has hosted is significantly slower than the one that I had myself an they offered to rebuild the site again to improve load time but this would have compromised tens of thousands of dollars of SEO work I put into the site. But the kicker is that the code that they overlay in Wordpress is clumsy and only known to their organization so it is not a savvy code. Its a DIY website inside Wordpress. I was told I was getting word press site, the reason this is a big deal is because this low quality code they are putting between Word press and them inhibits peak SEO performance with GOOGLE et. al. which means their code makes your website less valuable as the entire point of a website is to be seen by GOOGLE. 4. the content they put in their premade websites and in their social media posts you can pay extra for is NOT original content which means it has very low value in GOOGLE searches. So they are recycling a few basic templates and same copy content on all their websites, which means, while their websites may be instant gratification and cheap- you do get what you pay for...quick and cheap wont get you many clients. In summary, if you are looking to have a decent looking website that doesnt do much in GOOGLE without hundreds of hours of work form you and SEO work that BV doesn't offer and even then it will be limited by their clumsy custom coding Brighter vision websites are perfect for you. read more

I have been a customer for the past several months. The Blue Team has taken a back step as far as helping me with design. They do not make the edits I request and take days to respond. Often indicating the edits were made but when I review them they are only partially done. I have to keep scheduling calls to ask about edits I already requested via email. This has been a waste of money and costing me to lose money. I am operating without a website and Brighter Vision is profiting of my company while collecting payments for a website I cannot use. When I email customer service they point out that I have a call scheduled. I should not have to wait a week to speak over the phone about edits I already requested several days before. I intentially schedule calls because If I don't we continue to go back and forth via email. Not good business. read more

Honestly this company has been a dream to deal with. They make submitting tickets and getting edits done really easy. And they're always open to working with you and your feedback to get everything exactly the way you want it. The customer service has always been wonderful and based on all they do and the pricing, you're getting great work for dollars spent. The ONLY thing that would be beneficial is maybe a chat line/easier to get a representative on the phone quicker. But I get it and REALLY appreciate the work they have done for myself and team. They have pretty much no real time customer service. You have to schedule to talk to them and they say it takes three days to respond to anything. The content that they have on services is garbage. I would be embarrassed to have it on my site. They have pretty pictures and stuff, but its a lot to pay for an IA made site that could be like 1000 other people. And if you have a problem, or need something soon it won't happen. They have no phone number and no one returns calls or emails in a reasonable time. I was very happy with the process and the hands-on involvement I had in designing the website. The team was very responsive to my requests and my new website was ready and launched within a couple weeks. I have since been happy and satisfied with the service. The team makes you mark edits on a different site then they didnt pay attention to my notes. What an absolute disaster this place is. You get assigned to a team so the miscommunication is atrocious. You will never speak to a person on the phone beyond your initial sales call and introduction. They will make mistakes over and over. When you have something that needs to be fixed, dont expect it to be fixed promptly. You will go to your site and discover things like...for example, today I discovered my whole side bar is just gone. which is where all my newsletter signup information is...of course, this is following a campaign I just mailed out. Infuriating. Oh, and when they tell you you can take your site with you when they sign up. Don't believe them. It's going to cost me several thousand to get out of this disaster. I have used this company for nigh-on ten years to build and host my practice website. Their system for handling customer problems is abysmal. Recently, they took my website down without prior notification. I tried to contact them via live chat, but it was virtually non-existent, only auto-chat. All that did was tell me to submit a trouble report, which I did but never heard back. I finally had to make an appointment for a phone call with one of their "sales reps", since there was no other number provided. That took another day; meanwhile one of my main marketing tools--the website--was still down! The person I spoke with was a young snot-nose named "Frank", who informed me in a condescending tone that my site was taken down for non-payment of my subscription. The issue, it turned out was that when I had to replace my debit card a few months back, I'd failed to update my info with them. Ok, my bad. But when I told "Frank" what happened, he basically called me a liar and that they'd been sending me email notifications all along. When I told him I'd thoroughly checked my email server and found no such notifications, he accused me of blocking their emails. I updated my card information and the charges went through, and for some reason it took them two hours to put my site back up. I'm firing Brighter Vision and taking my business elsewhere as soon as I can. Take my advice, save yourselves the hassle and avoid this obnoxious company like the plague. read more

My experience with Brighter Vision as of lately has been terrible! I've contacted customer support to transfer my domain; this means having to cancel the monthly subscription with Brighter Vision which I think they're struggling with seeing customers go. So, I've tried getting in contact with them via email, text messages, and phone to no availability. When they've got in contact with me, I've literally had to wait over 72 hours to get an answer. If I have another question, again it's a matter of 72 hours more and that's if I'm persistent with my ways to contact them. Tired of the nightmare, I decided to purchase another domain for my company. It is disgusting and sad how Brighter Vision is managing its business. Thieves, plain and simple. I cancelled service in April and I just get some threatening emails from them saying I stole their content. Well every word on the site was written by me (they're way to stupid to come up with an original thought) and every graphic is mine. First they tried blackmailing me. The email said if I didn't pay them $1,100 they file a notice with my current host to take down my site. Then they went and charged my card $59 anyway. For an account they acknowledge I cancelled back in April. So I'm sure Mr. Rosenbloom will reply to this review with some more lies, just as he has to the other negative review. But think about it, a third of the reviews for Brighter Vision reference what a rip off they are. That should be enough warning. read more

I switched from Therapy Sites to Brighter Vision because I wanted someone to design my page for me and help me with SEO. I didn't feel I did a good enough job on my own with therapy sites, and the therapy sites platform was expensive and difficult to manage. I got a great deal. I paid for everything up front, and therefore had some fees waived. I also was given a reduced monthly fee because I was coming over from Therapy Sites. While I do think the process took longer than expected (I signed up in Oct 2016 and my site still isn't active yet), I'm okay with it, because honestly, I was slow in giving feedback and responding to my lead developer (Rachel's) request. Please be careful when signing up with Brighter Visions for a Therapist Website. If you choose to discontinue service before you are even online, you will have to pay a $100 set up fee, a $100 cancellation fee and a monthly service fee for the months spent designing your website. Their custom builds are poor and communication is a struggle. Apparently Google apps does not deliver consistently to Comcast accounts. If you sign up for a year in advance, spend 35 days trying to communicate about a custom build and then decide to cancel the account before you ever go online, you pay $588 and lose $298 for a refund of $290. Five years with TherapySites have led me to believe that they have the superior product in this field. Don't make my mistake and get tempted by Brighter Visions lower monthly fees and promise of custom work. It is not accurate to say that Brighter Vision built my site specific to my requirements. First they said the emails I sent via Comcast never reached them and then they gave me a mock up that was bad enough to scare me from continuing what had been sold to me as a custom build. So the website was never completed. Now Perry says that the build offered to me is currently being sold for $2500. It's a bait and switch. "Custom" build means you share a screen where you use a premade template to pick your colors and fonts. Don't take my word for it. Go to the BV website and take a look at some of their designs and decide for yourself. Just know going in that it will cost you $100 in set up fees, the monthly fee and a $100 exit fee should you decide to leave before your website ever goes online. The lesson to be learned here is that when something looks too good to be true it usually is. read more

Most of the promises made by the now disappeared sweet $$$-seeking Salesman (aka, "Customer Happiness Specialist") Peter Van Atta & their many online canned ads & canned auto form e-mails & canned form "Welcomes" from the way too many & too troubled Staff (most Artists or "outdoors people" now in Denver per their website bios) now involved in my 1st simple job still NOT FULFILLED or completed, even at 2 weeks, even despite my 1st project now 95% done & stalled. And don't forget the last LIES & FIBS given out by the last 2 "Design Reps" I chatted with last week, stone cold, snippy Wyatt Megla & clearly very troubled Kate Younkin, she clearly needs a therapist. Forget my lovely friend's page to be created after mine, she has now gone elsewhere & happy as a clam. I will go now too & join her. We both have been Saved. Need or want to talk live to your BV "Design Rep", need help, yes, great, but they NOW say you gotta "book" a time online, with times open in 1-2 weeks...how about even a quickie 15 minute slot maybe to discuss their 100+ "mistakes", sure, how about next week or maybe the next one? Need a quick 30 or 45 min slot to chat live about your MESSY 1st draft or their own too many to count generated problems or MISTAKES, sure, the 1st open slot is in 1-2 weeks. No slots, no talk. If you don't like it or like THEIR VERY UNILATERAL & NON-COLLABORATIVE WAYS, then THEY prefer you LEAVE, GO AWAY, SHUT UP, GET OUT, DON'T TALK. Yep. No discussion of problems or problem issues (unlike what they advertise), no collaboration (unlike what they advertise). You report problems, you get either NO RESPONSE or they e-mail you a nasty LEAVE, GO AWAY type note & stop working on your website or even suddenly turn it OFF, without bilateral chat or mature adult discussion. Talk Axis 2 pathology, horrible! They prefer to HIDE & EVADE and DEFLECT & SPIN, they prefer engaging by unilateral & non-collaborative canned e-mails. They must have a large library of customer "tell-off " notes in their database. Just read the nasty & inappropriate YELP responses by the clearly nasty & unprofessional very young & very angry & bad faith oriented BV leaders. Fighting with caring & concerned customers who are pretty fair & reasonable LICENSED THERAPISTS. Pathological. Sweet Peter has now "disappeared" x 2 weeks & maybe gone interviewing for a better job, the young "Founder & CEO" who SOLD OUT years ago for $$$$$, Perry Rosenbloom, does NOT even return calls x days or chat live with his own customers, nor do his very snippy & rude hired mean "lieutenants" (my last contact was a most rude & nasty & LYING guy who just surfaced named Matt Corson, and a unilateral tell-off e-mail from another unknown BV guy who never even called me to chat named Frank Truei) who prefer hiding & then sending totally UNILATERAL & increasingly MEAN & NASTY & RUDE e-mails. Yuck. Immature. A TOTAL CIRCUS there, clearly way TOO MANY troubled "clowns" in their sagging tent & way TOO MANY troubled & angry bad "chefs" in their very messy or maybe burning kitchen ! Nightmare City. Yes, even their online & own website JOBS OPEN listings seem to be growing, likely due to very young (most just out of college) & low-paid (according to Indeed info) employees coming & going. Run! What a nightmare, 20 hours x $300. = $6,000. potential work time spent & lost in just the last 2 weeks spent editing their messy work & dealing with their odd & rude & SLOPPY 20-30 yo young "artist type" workers, still with NO new biz WEBSITE up despite their repeated ads & promises to be done last week. Yep, I estimate my losses = $10,000.+ lost new patient venues. $6k + $10k = $16k gonna be lost this month. It's time to hire a pro & mature website developer, a professional. I recently decided to switch from my previous platform for something fresher and more engaging, and Brighter Vision exceeded my expectations. I primarily worked with Will, who was unfailingly polite and professional. While always considering my requests and working with me to get it how I wanted it, he nonetheless also told me when something wouldn't look right or have the feel that we wanted. I was most impressed with his communication; he never left an email unanswered nor a phone call un-returned. In fact, I was typically able to reach him on the phone without being placed on hold or having to talk to someone else. I write "primarily" worked with Will because there were times (much to my pleasant surprise!) when Perry, the company CEO himself, would respond to my email or request. Quick, easy customer service. My money is well spent knowing I can quickly email someone to change or add something to my website and I don't have to worry about it. So far I've used brighter vision for over a year and I'm very happy with it! The service doesn't mean you won't have to use your own taste and creativity and relay your message to them but it does mean they can bring your vision to life and do a good job of it! Harassers and won't leave me alone I don't know how these people got my contact info but they wouldn't stop hounding me to build a site with them even after I told them to leave me alone, I did sign up eventually to switch my site over and when I did, no follow through. Customer Support never available. Everything stopped working, my domain expired when they said they'd take it and never did, my email service, everything. Found out the design they charge me 49 bucks a month for is a Wordpress Template that costs a one-time 10 bucks in the marketplace and I can just install that in my GoDaddy domain ccount, stay away. They also charged me fees to cancel. Go to Wix or do it on your own! read more
