Theater project you say? A web engineering company and theater? How can that be? Where is the correlation? Let me explain. Ingrid Alongi, one of the Co-founders, and I met in junior high. She was cute as a button with her overly gelled-back 1980's hair. And all the new-bee junior high boys, including me, had a severe crush on her. She was also extremely sweet and that has always laid the biggest impression on me. Over the years we lost touch but recently, when I returned briefly to Boulder to begin my journey of producing the play K2, we reconnected with old high school friends over drinks. The memories of her being such a friendly person were once again validated the moment we saw each other in downtown Boulder. Being that I was in the beginning stages of producing K2, I needed to start the fundraising process. To have a fundraiser means you need a space to hold the event. This can often cost hundreds of dollars, and not ever doing a fundraiser before, I didn't know how much profit I could possibly gain while money was going towards location expenses. This is where darling Ingrid became incredibly instrumental in my journey--she offered Quick Left's office space free of charge for the event. Actually, this was to be QL's first event in their new downtown Boulder office. Long story short, the actual event was as successful as any first-time event planner (me) could make it. However, the openness of Ingrid and the QL team to allow me to manipulate their furniture, come during office hours for measurements, actually move much of their equipment out of the way themselves, well, this was way beyond any generosity I could have hoped for. Ingrid and the QL team made an incredible impact on me and my production, and I can't thank them enough. I wanted to present this because it represents the kind of company QL is and I can guarantee you that when you work with them in their actual field, you will see them shine at their brightest. Thank you Quick Left for your support. Thank you Ingrid for your kindness and generosity. Oh, check out their website: www.quickleft.com. It absolutely represents what I've talked about. It's fantastic.

The only reason I am wasting another moment of energy on these guys is because I am hoping my words can deter other potentials customers from making the same mistake that I did... and that mistake was hiring Quick Left. Without going into too many details (for which I want to cry, kick and scream when I think about), working with QL was one of the most disheartening experiences I've ever had. Not only did they totally deceive us into allowing them to build our store from scratch (flippin boulder tech hipsters!), but they left us in the lurch with a bill ten times bigger than we initially discussed, and a malfunctioning website, with bugs we are still fixing over a year later (and tens of THOUSANDS of dollars later)! I have to say the un-professionalism I experienced working with their female owner (who shall remain nameless) was unparalleled to anything I have experienced in my professional career. Word on the street is they have been/are being sued by several other local Boulder businesses, and some of them have already won!! Over promise, under deliver? This (unfortunately) is sometimes industry standard. Over promise, under deliver, lie and deceive, blatantly disrespect? That's Quick Left steez.

The exposure and the additional income that comes from a website that produces a "stir" are invaluable. It's even more difficult to invest in something invisible like a search engine optimizer. I am beyond thankful to have trusted my gut on this one. I took the chance and am completely indebted to Erin and her studio. I could not trust a stranger more with my business. I live in Houston, the 3rd largest city in the US, and was faced with an address change - I had to move my headquarters. Although I was just moving down the street, the thought of losing my Google placement was unnerving. My business relies on Google optimization and placement. For me, it's not about the bells and whistles of a website, it's about virtual placement and Evergreen did just that for my business to be seen - first and everywhere. I look forward to a lifelong partnership with Erin and her company.
