Given the lower price point and nature of the events being more party-like, we were fine with it. We left him alone and he did his thing. I would be explicitly clear on what you want and make sure he agrees to that vision. I think he is good for parties and in-the-moment type photos but the classic wedding shots with posed people, I don't think is his thing and probably not his strong suit. He was actually very nice to us and we tried to give him room to take photos. I do have a background in design and photography, so my feedback is coming from a professional place as well.
