It was very hard for me to keep my house clean and I was kind of in denial about me having to do it all by myself. So I decided to go on yelp, and Donnie maids was the first company that came up. The owner of Valerie is very nice and very, very easy to work with She sent out a woman. I cannot remember her name, but she was also very good. She did a walk-through of my home and she asked if she could take pictures before she started taking pictures. I really appreciate that not that I have anything to hide lol. The next day two workers came and I instructed them what I needed done what was a priority and what I didn't need to have done just personal items that I'd rather take care of myself they did an amazing job. They were very quick and they were very thorough. I can tell when things are clean. When I rub my hand over surface. I can tell if it's been dusted and treated with Murphy's oil soap or if they've just been barely gone over they did a great job on my toilet and my shower And my kitchen which I thought was a disaster. He and Philipe cleaned them in 1.15 minutes. He left behind 2 floor fans to help dry them. I also have ceiling fans. Running in high. Carpets dried in about 6 hours or so. Ash uses a truck mounted vacuum, he also covers the corners of your home so that the hose they use for hot water extraction does not rub against or chip the paint or wood. I used Leslie's for several years. I was generally VERY HAPPY with their cleaning. During the…read moretime we used them their prices just kept going up and up... more than one would expect for inflation. A couple of their senior cleaners told me they only got $21-22 an hour. That seems low based on the hour rate they charge... During Covid there was very little cleaning available... I suspect most people didn't want strangers in their house. The Leslie's staff wore masks the whole time. We were comfortable with them being here. As expected one would expect they lost a fair number of staff. We had a bi-weekly 4 hour cleaning. There were several times when we got calls a day or two before saying they didn't have a cleaner available... and would we mind rescheduling... we ALWAYS said "Yes, no problem... we will accommodate you." I think on at least one occasion we had to skip a weekly cleaning due to staffing shortages. Back to a year ago, my wife had cold symptoms... although we took precaution that it might be the flu. When the cleaner arrived for the 3 1/2 hour cleaning, I immediately told her my wife probably had a cold and was isolated downstairs in her studio.. which the cleaning wouldn't be getting to within 15 feet of (and two doors). Per her training, she called Leslies' (no problem there) and they told her to leave that she shouldn't expose herself. No problem there either. I asked the person who scheduled the cleaners " A "... what IF ANY cost was there for the missed cleaning. He told me it was the full amount of 191.00. I was in shock! We'd bent over to accommodate them on half dozens times over the years and the said that's "their policy" .. unless you give 48 or 72 hours (I forget which) notice. We didn't have that much time.. my wife only developed symptoms the evening before the morning cleaning. Their reasoning was they had to pay the cleaner and that was their POLICY... I subsequently talked to a couple of former Leslie cleaners and found out they were only paid for 30 mins (basically commute time) and not a dime more. So, they pocketed $130 because it 'was their policy' without ANY CONSIDERATION to our years of service. I told ' A ' I wouldn't pay it and we were DONE with Leslie's. Thanks for nothing. Later, I mailed in a check for the full $191.00 out of "legal obligation" we felt totally disrespected by ' A ' and by the company in general . Good Luck using them
