I prepaid for a 4 hour clean for April 12th at 9:30am. I was moving into my home that had already been cleaned by the owner but I wanted to reset the space before moving my stuff in.
I booked it a month ahead, and in the beginning, they had been very responsive. But in the days leading up to it, it became confusing and communication was sketch. I wanted to ensure that my correct address was on file because any confirmation email/text I received showed the wrong address. Later, after multiple attempts to call, they confirmed my correct address.
On the day of, it was 9:30am and then past but no one had yet showed up. I gave it about 20 min before calling only for Brian to tell me that they had a 30 min window to show up. Now, that's fine, if I had been explained this from the beginning. And it was okay that day because I had no other plans. But imagine if I or another customer was pressed for time. I'm usually flexible and easy going, but only if the place of business was transparent with their practices from the beginning. Again, confusing communication.
Anyway. Two cleaners finally showed up. They asked me what my focus was and explained it's two cleaners for 2 hours which is equivalent to the 4 hour cleaning. Again confusing but I needed it done, and it was already paid for. Since the house was empty, I asked for the bathrooms to be deep cleaned, everything wiped down, including appliances, just a reset of the space and to make sure there is no trace of a lived in house. I thought, easy enough since it was completely empty inside.
The house was clean upon first look. Smelled great. I was shown what was cleaned. But I am unsure if the toilets were cleaned bc I had to go back and scrub them, myself. I also had to vacuum bc I was also unsure if that was done based on the same stuff on the carpet before they came. But only the cleaners that came could tell you.
Again, I am grateful for the service, but am just still so confused about the overall communication and "area of focus" cleaning since it was an empty home and expected everything to be cleaned thoroughly based on booking. Maybe it's just my expectation as I typically deep clean my own home, but since healing from a surgery a few months back, I haven't been able to and with the hecticness of moving, I figured to hire it out.
I won't knock this business. Just giving my honest review. I might book again and give it a chance now that I know how they work. But I don't know. It was just a weird interaction overall that I'm just hesitant to. read more
