Just wanted to share this information. Briggs tree service IL 708 895 9576 IN 219 513 0872 Now the story behind. In the storm we had a tree land on the house, trying to find someone to remove it we asked and call around. My husband is a guy that looks at reviews he found Mr. Steve Briggs yelp rating and was amazed at how high it was so I call but just as we I called the company that was cutting down the BIG tree here on Strieff came by to check on our tree so I hung up the phone. Before the person could leave our home Mr. Briggs called me back so I told him for calling but we had just made a deal with this other company. Now this company told me they would be back in the morning I was pleased with this because I wanted this tree off my house. Ok, rise and shine with the next morning hopefully all will go well. So I start the waiting and waiting now it is 12 something so I text this company that is going to cut the tree. I ask can you give me a time, I get a text back 5 or 6 that evening. At this point I text Mr. Briggs and send him some pictures. This man Mr. Briggs called me back he asked questions had I given money or signed anything I told him no he was pleased. He asked who was doing the job I told him. At this point I said I would cancel them and wait for him he said no they were not the best but they were capable of doing the job and as busy as all the tree services were keep the bird in the hand as even his company would be 3 to 4 days getting to us. But he than said he would come by when they were doing the job and my husband saw him drive past, then he called to ask if the did the job I said yes but they didn't trap the two big holes in the roof this man gave me the number of a roofer. Wow kinds and care without get anything. read more

Steve has been in the business since 1986. Him, his son Cole, and their crew are out there everyday doing their best to provide quality treecare at a reasonable price. I have had the pleasure of reworking their branding in the past few years and have called them friends for far more. I know their hard work extends beyond being out on the job: if they aren't out doing client work they are at their shop fixing equipment, cutting/stacking logs for firewood, and making sure their business runs as smooth as possible for the next day or season ahead. Tree services are a dime a dozen but Briggs is worth the call: (708) 895-9576 https://www.facebook.com/Briggstreeserviceinc read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Briggs Tree Service! I keep telling my family and friends about how awesome they are. The owner, Mr. Steve, came out to give an estimate on a huge old oak tree in my driveway. The gentleman was very professional, friendly, and thorough. He even had a meeting with us and our neighbors to make sure everyone is in agreement with how the plans would go. The crew came and went at it! Us and our neighbors even watched at how awesome their system was. They were so careful, proficient, and very nice people. They did an excellent job with clean up as well! Then, the owners son, Mr. Cole, came to haul the logs and asked us if we were satisfied or if we needed anything. He was extremely professional and so friendly as well. He was even talking to our son and even showed our son the crane and the horn. Overall, I recommend them 10000%. Their amazing customer service, their reasonable prices, their knowledge, and their work ethic wheeled us in. We will be hiring them for all of our other trees as well. Thank you again! read more

I purchased firewood from Briggs tree services. The firewood was a good size for my fireplace. They also stacked the firewood on the side of my garage. The price for the firewood and stacking was good. read more

Briggs tree service is great! They are professional, competent, and polite. Steve, the owner, came and gave me an estimate the same day I called. His estimate was very competitive with another estimate I had gotten. Steve's son Cole came with a crew today and removed a large branch which a storm had taken down and trimmed dead wood from that tree and another. They were so efficient and cleaned up everything nicely. Will use them again if needed. Highly recommend this company. read more

Highly recommend Briggs tree service. Very courteous, friendly crew. Had several estimates done on dead trees that needed cut down. Not only was this the most reasonable estimate given, but the job was completed quickly and they did a great job with cleaning up! Have more trees to come down next spring and will definitely be using them again-They've earned a repeat customer! read more

They do good tree cutting and stuff, sure. Also, their estimates were on par with other tree service companies. However, they come unannounced without warning. I actually cancelled their service and they came a couple weeks later anyway, unannounced, to do service. I asked them to leave behind all that was cut, ALL, but because their laborers don't speak English, at least the ones on my job, they didn't understand and only left behind partial of what they cut. They also billed well over estimate. I did pay them for their jobs, which they did do very well, but the lack of communication on their part, and doing service after a cancellation request, is why I'd recommend you maybe finding somebody else for your tree service. read more

I called because I was concerned my elm tree had dutch elm disease - arborist - informed me this type of elm tree does not get dutch elm and I had nothing to worry about - Steve /arborist / owner - great guy who loves his work is awesome and this service was done at no charge - will definitely use them for any future lawn / tree projects !!! read more

Great Service at a fair price. They showed when they said they would and conducted themselves professionally. My yard was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. I will definitely have them back. read more

These guys were awesome! I saw their ad and messaged them and they were out and taking a look at the tree to be removed within an hour. They did everything they promised. They gave an estimate, we got it scheduled, and they removed the tree today in 99 degree temps. Had them also trim a neighbor's tree that was impacting our roof. Cole and Jose were the best. Their prices were extremely reasonable and kept us informed and made sure myself and my elderly parents (it was their tree/house) were completely satisfied. I would recommend Briggs Tree Service to anyone. Good companies are hard to find, but not with Briggs...they're the best and I'm so happy to know them! Thanks Cole, Jose, and crew! read more

Came out quickly after storm to give us a quote. Did the work a few days later. Worked safely and quickly. Cleaned everything up before leaving. Spared the plants that were around the 2 huge river birch that was removed. Very polite and friendly. read more

I highly recommend Briggs Tree Service. They came out the same day a tree limb fell on my house and then onto the grass. Briggs team removed it along with all the branches that fell as well, raking and cleaning up before leaving for a fair price. Nice, friendly people too! read more

Hire these professionals and they are the real deal. Great value and very efficient. I will use them again.

I saw them doing a job in the area. I asked them for a quote on trees I needed trimmed. I got the quote, they did the work quickly and left the area clean. Pricing was fair and reasonable and workmanship was excellent. The owners son was very knowledgeable and provided some advice on several trees I had. Great experience! read more

Awesome people to do business with! The crew did an excellent job clean and efficient!

My neighbor hired these guys to remove a tree. While they made quick work of it, the crew was not very courteous when it came to my property. Mind you, I didn't hire them, my neighbor did. The crew ate lunch in my yard, leaned tools against my fence, and dropped branches into my yard. They even left refuse from their lunch laying in my front yard. Not very professional. Probably did a fine job with the tree, but they need to respect adjacent properties. read more

Called Briggs to take out a row of trees next to our home. Quoted price was written on the back of a business card. Work performed expertly and quickly, with little damage to our lawn and zero damage to the house, which these trees were draped all over. Also trimmed up and thinned a large mature tree. Took a few days and we needed to be flexible with time and day but i would recommend Briggs and would call them again. read more

Is 70% taken off a tree trimming? Well that's what was done to my two red leaf maples. Trim...and 70% was removed, I now have two, over 20 year old trees that look like 2 stalks of broccoli. Had an arborist consultation with confirmation that the trees were not only "trimmed" too much but "trimmed" incorrectly! Be leery when hiring Briggs to trim your trees. read more

I hired Briggs about two years ago, then I hired again a month ago, they trimmed my tree in the yard and also I had to have my neighbors tree cut and trimmed cause it was hanging over my property. Steve was great, and such a nice man, and so was his crew. Came out within 2 weeks did great job and great clean up. Will hire again. read more

Briggs tree service did a great job cutting down our dead tree. Great work by a friendly crew at a great price. Highly recommended.

I called Steve and a couple of others to cut down a couple of trees and trim a bunch of trees in my yard so I could get some sun on my roof. he had the best price by far and best of all he and his crew did a awesome job. and cut the trees up so I have firewood for the rest of the year. nice. I also gave his number to one of my co workers because she had a tree fall in her driveway and on her garage. she said they came out right away and got everything cleared out. he was fast, his crew was friendly and the price was right. all in all I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends or family. I am watching Brigg's trim trees at the Izaak Walton League. They are doing an excellent job - polite, quick, safe, and no damage to lawn. A big thank you! read more

I called Briggs yesterday and the work was performed today. The price was very reasonable and the work was well done. They even cut an extra limb off and did not raise the original estimate. I highly recommend Briggs. read more

Brigg's is the best out there. I called them and Steve came out the same day to look at the trees that needed to be removed. He called me back right away. He also helped with a structure we needed taken down. He told me how much, what day, and how he was going to accomplish the tasks. Everything was done just as he had said, on the day he said. The price remained the same as what he quoted. I could not be happier with the service and quality of their work! Highly recommend to anyone who needs tree service! read more

Arrived unannounced and I was not there. Scared and stressed out the crap out of the people in the house. Started to rain and ,per our neighbors,, workers decided it would be a good idea to stand on our covered porch and have our dogs go nuts and stress out and scare the people in the house even more. I had obtained several quotes decided to use Briggs due to high reviews on a local community FB site. All quotes were within $100-$200 of each other. Verbal quote included tree removal and stump grinding. Now the next part shame on me I should have read the written quote in detail because it did not include stump removal. So in all reality Briggs was quite a bit higher. Never an explanation why verbal quote included stump grinding and written quote did not. Did receive an apology via e-mail. 2 stars work was done and they cleaned up what they did (I believe in being truthful and honest) but poor execution and customer service. Will not use again. read more

Worst experience ever!!! Briggs Tree Services dumped tree clippings/mulch from another work site on our property. We had a 10 foot x 3 foot high bark and mulch pile on our lawn - we had 3 medium sized evergreen bushes removed. The bark in the giant mulch pile did not match our bushes except for perhaps 1/10 of the pile. It was truly unbelievable! My parents used this service when it was owned by the current owner's father - completely different and much better service. Never again and we would not recommend this company at all. read more
