Junk King charges by the truck load. 1 truck load is well over $500. A 30# dumpster costs about the same minus the labor to fill it. I hired the South Suburbs Junk King to remove items left behind from previous tenants not realizing exactly how much it was. I figured it was a truck load, but there were other items around the property I didn't see including a refrigerator; which I always put out at the curb for salvage guys to take for free. I had used Junk King on numerous occasions so I did not request an estimate when they arrived at the property. This was a painful mistake / omission on my part. I received a bill for nearly $1,700 for 3 plus truckloads. I got no phone call or advanced warning from the franchisee to let me know what the cost was going to be for the removal of these items.
