Recently ordered a bike to be shipped and assembled at this location. Assembly took a little bit longer than expected but it was not their fault. A part had arrived with minor damaged so it it took a couple days to receive the replacement. They did amazing work with the assembly of my new bike regardless of the delay. Staff was very inviting and helpful. When I picked up my bike they made sure I had everything I needed before I left. They have a limited amount of accessories, but it's enough to get you started if you're new or returning to cycling like me. Will update when I have to come in for maintenance and/or repairs. read more

Very disappointed in the level of service that was received from Brielle Cyclery staff today. The store was busy, but we did ask multiple staff members for help, telling them we are looking to purchase bikes and they kept blowing us off and pointing to a new staff member that we need to "go find" so we can get helped. I even went up to one asking for help and his response was "I'm with someone else" he gave no further directions of where we could go to actually get help and just walked away. 25 mins later we realized that we were actually supposed to get in the line to pay to get help from someone to show us bikes that we could purchase (Not sure how we were supposed to just magically figure that out). Overall everyone was very rude and provided no help. I was looking to purchase two bikes today amounting to over $1000 but because of their overall rude and careless demeanor, I will never step foot in this store again and my business will be taken elsewhere. If you frequent the store often you will get immediate service, but if you are a new customer looking to get information on bike sales don't bother. You'll be treated as if you don't exist. Horrible customer service. I purchased the bike online where I created an account and was given an order number. I initially emailed to confirm my order was received and received an email stating that it normally takes 14 days to process an order, but that it may be sooner. No problem as I understand all bike shops are extremely busy. 14 days go by and my order is still processing. I ordered the bike on July 21st. I sent two follow-up emails and called the store. When I finally got someone on the phone, they said they did not know the status of the order but someone would call me back. 24 hours later and no call back and no email response. read more

Went to purchase a bike on a Saturday afternoon. The store was crowded but there were multiple associates scattered about. We stood looking for help for over 45 minutes...with free associates walking right past us, not offering us help. It was clear that if you weren't an"local" or didn't know someone "first name," you were obsolete. Meanwhile, we live only minutes away but since we have never been there before, we weren't important enough to be helped. Never going back. read more

This is an amazing bike shop! The people running this place are absolutely wonderful. I drove here 65 miles away from my apartment because they had a good price, but now that I've experienced their exceptional service, I think I'm a lifelong customer -- even if it means driving for 90 minutes. I bought an entry-level comfort bike, used it for a month, thought I needed an upgrade, and then exchanged it for a high-end hybrid. They were extremely accommodating about the exchange. The shop is good for selection, and the staff is knowledgeable. Unfortunately when leaving a bike for repair, it is never done when promised and the promised email / phone call to tell us it's ready never comes. So sales is good but service is lacking, which is too bad. May 19: ADDENDUM: So my bike was promised today and I got it today. And I got an email telling me it was ready.
