Right off the bat Christian was very polite and extremely knowledgeable about the bikes and equipment they sell. Christian made me feel welcome and didn't rush me at all. He asked great questions about my riding goals and terrain I hit. Most of all he worked within my budget and got me a killer deal on a Emonda SLR. Called the owner said might be something small in the tire. Brought back today she looked at it for me(awesome) Come to find out a piece of metal was sticky out of the tire. A supposably a new tire 2 weeks of wear and tear would not make that happen. So, the guy charged for a new tire and gave me a used one. So, my initial $140 has increased to $172. When it came to ordering fenders, I was put in contact with Jeff with who after about a week of back and forth of him stating he'd call me back then finally doing so after I called the store about 3 times. Was finally able to order them to the store, I then told Jeff the rear brakes on my bike need to be adjusted. He said no issue it would be done when the fenders are put on. My wife dropped the bikes off last week and someone there told my wife they'd call the number on the account when they were done. It was about 3 days and I finally called them and Jeff said they've been done and I should have been called or email/texted about it. Soon as I hung up the phone the notifications they said should have days prior, finally came. I went to pick up the bikes today 8/8, the brakes weren't adjusted and my wife handlebar were damaged. And the lady there who was urgently trying to get us to pay for the fenders talked at us instead of to us. And everything seemed to be an inconvenience to her even though they had my bike close to a week and here we are waiting 40 minutes for my bike. We had to leave, and after we left I then call her realizing that I closed out the order with her with my bike still being there. She said it was finished when we were pulling away and then she hung up the phone on me. Needless to say once your bikes are purchased here certain staff will treat you like garbage. We all make mistakes and things happen but I told this entire story to show it wasn't just one thing. I'm an extremely understanding person but I don't like when Im ignored and treated like I'm nothing. I hope the owner gives this a read and gives me a call. Because being treated that way is truly unacceptable. Immediately after the owner called: Kathy the owner reached out to me directly and apologized even though that isn't her job since she wasn't the one who caused the issues. And that to me speaks volumes about the type of person she is and the type of business she runs. I don't enjoy writing reviews but I wanted to correct this one after she took the time to make it right with me. Things like calling the customer and explaining the situation/attempting to make it right is essential to having a business flourish. Which explains why she's been in business so long. One week approximately after the phone. She stated she would call me back to "make it right" and never did, which I honestly didn't care much because there wasn't much she could offer to make it right. I accepted the phone call as what it was, a plea to remove the review. I then later that week took the bikes out for the first time since getting them back with my wife to find the chain grinds the fender or some other part of the bike while only in first gear. This only occurred after they mounted the fenders on the bikes. I can't in good conscience ether recommending this place or bother going back there to have this "fixed". Because ultimately I'm finished wasting my time with a place that obviously does the classic "turn and burn" when it comes to its customers. I dropped over $1500 there and between the damage, wasted time and aggravation its simply not worth attempting to have them make right.

At our rental we were disappointed to find the bikes not ready for the summer season, so we called Shore Riders. Tim (and Ashley and Declan) all so friendly and helpful!! We were thrilled about delivery and loved the baskets for shopping. They provide helmets and keyed locks (much easier than combination locks) with each bike. Communication was excellent and the whole experience couldn't have been easier! We'll be calling with all our future bike needs. Huge priority for us on vacation and we were all so happy to find this total gem of a business. :)

TRUST: I trust Michael Haddad with my bike…read more When I started racing in the seventies, (10 speeds, 52/42 chain rings, 14-18 straight block) I suffered the occasional disappointment of having a mechanical during a race because I was just not that good a wrench. Since then, I have been dissatisfied too many times after entrusting my ride to the local Mom & Pop shop. I can do without the know it all 'Tude from many of the Hipsters working in bike shops today. Michael is meticulous. Michael is honest. After he does my big overhaul and tune up for the season--unless I have some new parts to install or an adjustment to make--I basically just have to wipe the schmutz off my frame and keep my chain lubed. This has allowed me to continue running my 2001, 105 group on a 2007 Cannondale Six-13 frame, that Michael assembled for me, with no issues. The Tour de France will hit the Pyrenees next weekend and later on the Alps. We will marvel at the strength of the riders to make it up those climbs and their courage while hurtling down those deadly descents. Those pros couldn't do that if they didn't trust their mechanics. I trust Michael Haddad with my bike.
