My husband and I took our first SUP lesson with Jason yesterday at Brick's Forge Pond. I had been looking forward to learning how to SUP for a long time and i was not disappointed. Jason was an excellent instructor and I can't believe how much I learned and all the techniques. He was very patient, laid back and he individualized his instruction as well to help us make corrections. We had so much fun and I can't wait to go again. My friends and I rent from Paddleworks every time we're in town. They have quality boards and are located in a great location. The water was very calm and easy to navigate, and the instructors are very helpful. The first time I ever attempted to paddle board was with Paddleworks, I was a little worried ahead of time that it would be difficult and I'd be left on my own but that wasn't the case at all. I brought a diverse group of young professionals for a team-building experience and Jason did outstanding job getting us all on the water. His introduction was to the point and simple enough that everyone understood, but when we got on the water he was really great about meeting each of us at our respective levels and helping us to improve. This was an awesome way to spend the early afternoon. Jason, the owner, had met us and went over safety procedures. He showed us and had us practice technique before and after we got into the water. The new owner, Mike, was very friendly and informative. Gave us a quick review in how to use the equipment appropriately in order to maximize our experience.
