I was so impressed with Ann and her boarding facility. Right off the bat I could tell I was at the perfect place. Clean, organized, plenty of room for the dogs including a huge fenced in are , in the country and clean kennels to accommodate all size of pets. So impressed. Ann gave me a tour and didn't rush me, she also listened about what concerns I might have asay a first time client with my rescue dog. As you know our pets are considered family, so I could tell from talking to Ann that she was very knowledgeable about rescue animals which was truly important to me and my pet. I can't say enough about Golden Acres and Ann. My prayers were answered by finding Golden Acres Pet Boarding. I and my dog are very lucky. Carol W.

The staff at Beekel have always been exceptionally accommodating and pleasant. We have never had a problem. The only minor complaint I might note is that their hours are a bit limited. I used this place three times for grooming my dog. Um, okay... maybe it's boring for you to have her done that way, but it's how I like it. She did do a good job, so that was at least nice. The second time, I had an older woman do it, and she left a whole bunch of wax in my dog's ears (right there on the surface, so it would have been easy to trim off.) I ended up having to do it with scissors at home, which was more difficult and dangerous. She has the better tools to do it, so that was pretty disappointing. I decided to give her another chance... but then when I turned up for our appointment, she no-showed on me. While I appreciate mistakes can be made, it's really ridiculous that I wasn't notified that she wouldn't be there. I arranged my whole day around it, and also turned down an invitation to a baseball game because I had that appointment. I am very disappointed about the lack of professionalism and will not be returning to this groomer.

If you are going to be doing conformation or agility exercises, there are mats you can roll out on the floor. There is a decent rest room. After we are done, we sweep up all the dog hair and put the room back the way it was when we arrived. The owner, Mary, usually comes to check on us at the beginning and sometimes at the end to be sure we can find everything we need. The other side of the building is set up for agility, with sand instead of a floor.
