Before going to Danny's class with him, Buddy used to walk us (pull, fight, etc.) and not listen (a lot!). After the training and implementing Danny's teachings Buddy listened so much better and walked so well, right at our heels or side and did not get distracted by other 'traffic', scents, or noises. In fact, on the "pack walks" Buddy was used to walk near more difficult walkers to be a calm example for them. We were so grateful for these huge improvements and so proud of our baby. I started with Michigan Dog Training in the puppy class with Fidget earning her Star Puppy and then…read morethe Basic class and was very impressed. Eventually, after training Fidget at home for a while and other training, I decided to train her as a service dog for my social anxiety which is recognized by the ADA as a disability. Working privately with Michael has been amazing. I couldn't believe how much his knowledge about dogs has made such a huge difference in Fidget. The change after just one lesson was evident. I've learned that the e-collar isn't a punishment but rather just a tool to get her attention. Kind of like a tap on the shoulder. With my continuing the training at home and Michael, she's mastered walking on a loose leash, focusing on me versus her surroundings, recall, disregarding other dogs, the necessary tasks to be a service dog and earned her CGC and CGCA. Classes were supposed to start May 19th... and they are only on the third class. She will not refund me even though we had only went to the first class. When I asked for her to let me know a time that would be good for a makeup of our second class, she never responded to the question. I'm extremely disappointed with Crystal. She never once acknowledged my dog in our first class. So if you have 100 dollars to throw in the trash, I recommend the class! But if not, then I don't recommend Passion Fur Paws and I would take your business elsewhere. I'm not sure how my dog is supposed to learn when the trainer doesn't even acknowledge her.
