This was the first time we came to this location as we were establishing care after leaving our previous vet. My pup was a little nervous. She relaxed with a little peanut butter treat from Bailey (which she asked if it was ok to give it prior to actually doing it, which I appreciate!). The vet was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. We left with a script for the medication and I received a very affordable invoice. We use an online pharmacy to fill her scripts, but we are waiting until that actually arrives to us. I called the vet and explained the situation, requesting a partial script be filled by the office to get my dog started with treatment. Dr. Anna Calderon personally called after the clinic closed to confirm it was ready for pick up. She was friendly and empathetic.. just awesome! Very "pet-centered" care. I'm grateful we found a new, experienced vet hospital who cares so much.

I would highly discourage anyone from utilizing this practice…read moreMy husband took our dog to MiVets to get the Bravecto Quantum injection. We were given misinformation, spoke to rudely and in a condescending manner. We were told that the injection is priced with a savings compared to Bravecto oral medication. We were told that their pricing for the injection was comparable with other practices in the area. At the time the appointment was made, we were assured they would contact the prior vet and obtain the records for our pet. On the day of the appointment, my husband was told that they were not able to obtain any records and asked him if he wanted to proceed with "annual vaccinations" in addition to the Bravecto Quantum. Initially, he declined those additional vaccinations, but was told by the Vet, that --Rabies needs to be done annually. Which is a blatant untruth. There are 3 year rabies vaccinations, which was what our dog had. He was not yet due. Thinking that the Vet had our dogs best interests at heart and as she should have been the expert in this area, he consented to the "yearly" vaccinations. Not realizing that there is a 3 year rabies vaccination. We were charged $740 for the Bravecto Quantum injection. Our dog was given a Rabies vaccination and a DHPTT/Lepto vaccination that was not yet due. When I brought this to the attention of their staff, they shared they again, "charge prices similar to their competitors". I asked how much their oral Bravecto Quantum is and they told me at first it was $50 a pill. Then I was told it was $125 for a 3 month supply. Keep in mind Chewy sells a 3 month pack for $85.00 The front desk person stated that she knew I was upset, and that she would speak to the nurse, as well as the "owners" and call me back the next day. Didn't happen, so I called at 4:30PM and was put on hold for one of the owners. The owner stated that the front desk girl never told me that she was going to call me back, but the Dr. would. Another untruth. The doctor proceeded to tell me that they have "no idea" what other practices charge for Bravecto Quantum but they price according to the manufacture recommendations. See Below from Merck Website: "Mercks pricing guidance is structured to reflect a lower cost relative to a full years supply of shorter acting flea and tick preventative." Small dogs-$149-169 per dose Medium dogs-$159-179 per dose Large dogs-$179-219 per dose Another untruth. I understand this is a private office, and the need to make a profit, but a mark up of roughly 335% ON ONE INJECTION, is beyond ridiculous. The bigger issue with this is practice is that the Licensed "professional" Vet recommended that our 9 year old dog receive vaccinations without knowing if they were due. The Doctor who called me back stated they had called our prior vet "multiple times" with no records being provided. Yet, they never called us to tell us this prior to the appointment. The Doctor also proceeded to tell me, "that a responsible pet owner would have brought those records to the appointment." I contacted our prior vet (this morning) to inquire why the records were not sent to Mivets. They stated they never received a request, let alone multiple requests. Now I don't know about you, but I am not about to continue a conversation with someone who clearly does not give a rats behind that my dog was overloaded with vaccines he was not due for, and that I had been given misinformation regarding their pricing, and now was being told that we were not responsible pet owners. This practice is 100% a money grab. Whatever they could possibly inject, they could get more money, so they did. The owners and staff are untruthful, purposefully misleading, placing blame for their incompetence and lack of ethics on the family who brings their pet in to seek the guidance of a supposedly trained professional. Go elsewhere, anywhere else if you value the life of your pet. Its not all about the dollar, Doctors. Maybe one day you will realize that. Respect your clients and perhaps you will be able to respect yourselves.
