    Tucker's looking spiffy!

Thank you, Nicole, for making Tucker look adorable! I appreciate your flexibility to keep him trimmed just the right length for the summer months. Sue Brodie

Can't say enough good things about my cat's 1st nail trim experience with Nicole. Calleigh is a very shy and nervous cat but Nicole knew the best way to handle her so it wasn't a traumatic experience and educated me about her gentle technique. Love that trims are by appointment only 7:30-8:00am or after 5pm for 15 minutes and 1 client at a time in the store.

Nicole took the time to make our quiet girl comfortable for her first grooming. She works on one dog at a time and provides a low stress, first quality experience. She truly treats each dog as if they were her own making it a good experience for both our dog and ourselves. Kona has never looked better. We have already booked our next appointment.

    She looks amazing!

Ashley and Nicole were amazing. Our 130+lb St. Bernard was shedding like crazy when we took her in today and they spent 3 hours grooming her, showing her so much love and attention! She looks amazing and I'm thrilled that we have found such an incredible groomer here in Saline!

Nicole groomed all our fur kids (4 different breed dogs and a cat) for over 22 years until we moved to another state. We have never found another groomer who is as compassionate, responsible and detailed as Nicole. Saline is lucky to have a groomer the caliber of Nicole.

Nicole was incredibly patient and kind with my special needs husky! She took the time to be gentle with my sensitive dog and made sure she wasn't too stressed for her groom. We will absolutely be back!

She was in such bad shape that now she is naked, but happy in her thermal suit!

So glad to have found a groomer I trust again! Nicole was so calm and assured with both of my nervous dogs that they were able to finally get decent nail trims without screaming and being forcibly restrained. My older yorkiepoo had become so fearful of grooming (after a few years of less proficient groomers and some truly traumatizing experiences) that it been far too long since her last cleanup, and she was showing signs of discomfort. Nicole was able to get us in quickly, communicate with me clearly and honestly, and most importantly, help my dogs work toward a less confrontational attitude towards their grooming. She truly values the mental health of her clients over all else, and that is priceless. Hope Nicole stays in Saline for many years!

Nicole has always been more than welcoming, kind, compassionate and loving to our doodle! We give her a run for her money sometimes with our lack of brushing and she's always so understanding. Stella's loves her and so do we. Thank you for always taking care of our fur baby like she's your own!

Your pets are in safe hands if you board with Dr. Karr and Cyd!…read more I boarded our corgi here for the first time ever after my friend (who has also left a review here) raved about Dr. Karr. We have a situation where our dog requires 5 different types of eye medication, three times a day in his eyes. So that means someone has to be able to give him the meds at night around 9 or 10. Until I heard about this place, the only place in town who could do this is Petsmart. No other boarding place has someone working there late at night. Cyd told me this wasn't even an issue and of course they'd be able to give him his meds whenever we said he needed them. So it was a non-issue. Unheard of. I spoke to them on the phone a few times and they reassured me Gryff would be in good hands. First off, they take your dog out six times a day. Without a charge. That's just normal and routine. This is UNHEARD OF, people. You're lucky if your dog can be let out more than twice and they get to be outdoors. Not in a room like at Petsmart. You also have the option to let your dog be taken out in a group of other dogs (so they get some play time) or they can go out with just the people. Since our dog is getting a little older, playing with other dogs is hit or miss. To prevent this, they just spent more time with him and said he was great! I've also been told by people at Petsmart that my dog gets put in "time out" because he'd bark at other dogs. He's a mediator. That's a trait of corgis; big dog in a small dog body. But they took it as him being "aggressive" and he wasn't allowed in the group plays. At Pittsfield Pet Care, Cyd told me he was fine. Sure, they spent more time with him than him with other dogs, but they said he was totally fine. I have to trust two people who know and understand dogs over a kid working in a pet store. Dr. Karr is a licensed vet so if something happens there is someone there who will be able to take care of them. This is extremely reassuring. Given our dog's medical history, and a slight toe injury he was getting over, it was good to know he'd be in good hands should anything happen. Bottom line: board your pet here. They're going to be in compassionate dog people who know, understand and love dogs like their own. Their rate is great too ($30/night) and we only had a pay an additional fee per day because of the amount of medicine he needs. The facility is clean, which is a big thing on my list too. Drop-off and Pick-up was a breeze and these two people are two of the most friendly and wonderful people I have met.

He even checks in as a Vet on my 2 dogs while they are boarding to make sure they always have what they need. I can barely hold the dogs back as they run to the door to get inside. I never have to worry about them. I can't give 10 stars since yelp only allows for 5, but they deserve it. The Mello's

I went to visit Classy Canines before making my appointment with my pup because I wanted to check out the location and meet the groomer. It is located in the back of a vets office and Lori, the head groomer, was friendly and seemed knowledgable. I decided to book my first appointment for my large breed dog. When my appointment day came I brought my dog in and we had an 'intake interview' she asked me if my dog had sensitive skin, I said no. We have had our dog professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks since we got her and she has never shown any signs of skin sensitivity. I knew my dog was matted (definitely not the worst its ever been but a little more than normal) and decided to cut her short because of this. When I came in to pick up my dog I noticed that her skin was red on her legs and Lori said she had put some ointment on it and then brushed it off as no big deal. I asked a couple prodding questions to try and get a better understanding, but she said to just discourage my dog from licking. I also noticed that there were multiple toe-nails that were cut too short and had bled. One nail cut too short is understandable, but multiple nails (her nails are not black), is hard to understand. By the time I got home and had a chance to run my hands over my dog I noticed there were red marks and blade burns all over her (a total of 7 different areas). I took photos so I could send to Lori with my concerns. By the next day my husband and I were increasingly worried and took our dog to the vet, where we learned that our pup had developed a staff infection from the groomer. She had to wear an e-collar and take antibiotics. It was super disappointing that it came down to this. The vet said there should be no explanation or excuse from a professional groomer to cause so many burns and cuts and she had never seen such a poor job. When I explained all of this to Lori in an email (I tried to get her on the phone but she never returned my call) she emailed back taking very little responsibility and said the spots and burns were due to her being heavily matted and having sensitive skin. After this I just asked for a refund - no use in arguing. The only reason I'm giving the second star is because I appreciate that Lori is a wise enough business woman to give a refund when one is due. I hope this is a one-off experience and isn't a common issue with them. I'm sure they have many happy customers. Nevertheless, i will not be coming back or recommending them to other people.
