While it's…read morevery easy to book an appointment and potentially get the same groomer who you've liked in the past, things can change. I sent my husband with our dog to get her groomed and when he picked her up she looked nothing like her Pomeranian cut that has been done before. In fact her toenails were not all cut, missing a few on each paw. Uneven cutting all over her small body. No sweet doggy perfume smell that were accustomed to her having. No cute bow given either... Then paying 80.00 dollars for this??? My husband was truly disappointed in her cut, BUT there was nothing he could say to them, to have this undone!!!! Obviously They did a terrible job, and once I got home from work to see her and the botched up job they did on this small dog. Our disappointed is fueled by grief and upset as we now look at her. I did ask when I booked the appointment for her same groomer as she has had in the past. That was not who we got! Obviously the person who did our dog has no idea how to cut a Pomeranian!! We Are VERY DISAPPOINTED. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I went to visit Classy Canines before making my appointment with my pup because I wanted to check out the location and meet the groomer. It is located in the back of a vets office and Lori, the head groomer, was friendly and seemed knowledgable. I decided to book my first appointment for my large breed dog. When my appointment day came I brought my dog in and we had an 'intake interview' she asked me if my dog had sensitive skin, I said no. We have had our dog professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks since we got her and she has never shown any signs of skin sensitivity. I knew my dog was matted (definitely not the worst its ever been but a little more than normal) and decided to cut her short because of this. When I came in to pick up my dog I noticed that her skin was red on her legs and Lori said she had put some ointment on it and then brushed it off as no big deal. I asked a couple prodding questions to try and get a better understanding, but she said to just discourage my dog from licking. I also noticed that there were multiple toe-nails that were cut too short and had bled. One nail cut too short is understandable, but multiple nails (her nails are not black), is hard to understand. By the time I got home and had a chance to run my hands over my dog I noticed there were red marks and blade burns all over her (a total of 7 different areas). I took photos so I could send to Lori with my concerns. By the next day my husband and I were increasingly worried and took our dog to the vet, where we learned that our pup had developed a staff infection from the groomer. She had to wear an e-collar and take antibiotics. It was super disappointing that it came down to this. The vet said there should be no explanation or excuse from a professional groomer to cause so many burns and cuts and she had never seen such a poor job. When I explained all of this to Lori in an email (I tried to get her on the phone but she never returned my call) she emailed back taking very little responsibility and said the spots and burns were due to her being heavily matted and having sensitive skin. After this I just asked for a refund - no use in arguing. The only reason I'm giving the second star is because I appreciate that Lori is a wise enough business woman to give a refund when one is due. I hope this is a one-off experience and isn't a common issue with them. I'm sure they have many happy customers. Nevertheless, i will not be coming back or recommending them to other people.

All those years made him jaded/leery towards people and other dogs. He tried biting me the first time I met him. However, he was in dire need of a bath and nail trimming. However, his experience was that of a spa day; - Luxurious bath - Nails trimmed - Loved by 5 girls (lots of pets, kisses, and massages) - Followed by nap time I was gone for 5 hours and my fears went from being that of him possibly biting someone to him possibly not wanting to come back home to me. When I came into the building to pick up my dog I could here him barking and I was greeted by a woman whom I'm assuming was the owner by " Oh is that one yours" she seemed to be extremely annoyed because he was barking.... hello, you're a dog groomer! She began telling me that my dog doesn't behave well while being groomed and tries to jump off the table. I explained that we have never been told this by previous groomers and her response was " Well they lied to you" I told her we would not be back because it was evident her and my dog didn't get along. Apparently she says she is a trainer as well LOL! It would seem to me that someone who is a professional groomer and a dog trainer would know how to handle a dog showing signs of anxiety during a grooming session. My rating for this place would be NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE. There is a reason she had immediate openings and everyone else around was booked.
