She began telling me that my dog doesn't behave well while being groomed and tries to jump off the table. I explained that we have never been told this by previous groomers and her response was " Well they lied to you" I told her we would not be back because it was evident her and my dog didn't get along. She asked me to follow her to the back to retrieve my dog and said" he doesn't like the dryer either so I put him back here" when I walked to the back through her absolutely DISGUSTING AND CLUTTERED facility I see my dog Tethered in a SINK WITH A GIANT FAN BLOWING IN HIS FACE!!! What the hell lady I would bark too! My dog was absolutely petrified and shaking!! I admit my dog has some anxiety due to the breed but has never ever had an issue like this woman described. Apparently she says she is a trainer as well LOL! It would seem to me that someone who is a professional groomer and a dog trainer would know how to handle a dog showing signs of anxiety during a grooming session. My rating for this place would be NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE. There is a reason she had immediate openings and everyone else around was booked.

They are affiliated with a vet clinic and, although the clinic will not do anything but emergency interventions, it is comforting to know that if something urgent happened, there are skilled people nearby to intervene. I'm so happy I found them.

Karla advertises her services for dogs as being cage free with an area to roam. While this may appeal to many people (it certainly appealed to me), my dog picked up Giardia from running around in her yard. Giardia is usually transmitted from dog to dogs through fecal material. Most likely what happened was that one of her resident dogs (she owns five), had Giardia, pooped in the backyard, and then my dog inevitable stepped in it. Karla does not allow tours of her facilities. It is highly likely given the volume of pets that she services, that she does not regularly clean the mud and fecal material in her yard. This is unacceptable for someone that takes care of pets. When confronting her about him picking up Giardia from her. She simply replied "that's just the way it is, it's something that just happens to the dogs that I really can do nothing about." I generally don't review much on Yelp, but I really want to urge anyone considering Karla's Bed and Biscuit to look elsewhere. She is an irresponsible caretaker of pets and your dollars are better spent elsewhere.

Finally, I emailed Karla telling her I would need to book with someone else because I'm running out of time and she isn't answering me. I sent that email weeks ago and STILL never heard a word from her. Very disappointed. I understand being busy but if you tell someone you can watch their pet and then you don't return any of their calls/emails after that... that is quite unprofessional and now I've been in a bind trying to find someone else who can watch him. Really disappointed.

My dog breed club rents the facility for meetings and parties. The parking is a bit tight, but big…read moreenough for the size our group. The space is large, with a concrete floor. If you are going to be doing conformation or agility exercises, there are mats you can roll out on the floor. There is a decent rest room. It is clean and well stocked with soap, paper towels, etc. In the winter, the building is a little chilly at first, but there's a space heater, and after all the people and dogs are there moving around for a while it warms up quite nicely. After we are done, we sweep up all the dog hair and put the room back the way it was when we arrived. The owner, Mary, usually comes to check on us at the beginning and sometimes at the end to be sure we can find everything we need. The other side of the building is set up for agility, with sand instead of a floor.
