We last got our pups groomed in early March so we were lucky enough to keep our previously scheduled appointment, although this time it was run a little differently. Everyone in the shop is masked up. You can go into the building with your pup or call them when you arrive and they'll come to your car to get them. As I've mentioned in previous reviews we've got some immunocompromised folks in our family so we opted for the outside handoff. Quality Grooming staff came out masked up and scooped Oliver and Poppy up for their pampering. A few hours later we got the call that they're ready. We paid for the appointment over the phone and my husband went to go get them. He called when he arrived and they brought them out--lookin' cute, smellin' fresh, and trimmed up all fancy like. They always get a summer shave but this time we got them shaved pretty short so we wouldn't have to go in for another appointment for a few months. I'm grateful they were so accommodating. As long as we humans avoided close contact with the staff (for their protection as well) we felt comfortable bringing our pups in for their appointment. They got their summer cuts and I'm happy to report that they slept in our beds through the night for the first time in a week (they had gotten too floofy which made them get super hot in the bed) so I'm very grateful we could still bring them in. They had to cancel one time due to an illness but rescheduled me quickly and without any problems. The price is worth it to me and I don't think it's outrageous for what they do. I feel confident he is safe and having a great time. When we pick him up, he is always happy and exhausted. I appreciate that they temperament tested him before he could join: that gives me security that they are screening the dogs, watching their body language, and matching them based on temperament and play style. A few points of constructive feedback: the spa services are really expensive. For just a bath, they charged me more than an entire grooming costs (bath, haircut, nails, etc.) at our local groomer (also in west Ann Arbor). I will not be partaking in them in the future purely because the cost is so high compared to neighborhood rates. Also, a few times our dog has come home dirty, smelly, and covered with burrs. I understand this is a hazard of letting my dog go to daycare where I'm not watching him, but it does dampen the mood to know after a long day of work that I have to pick off burs and maybe give him a bath. Still, I am very happy this business exists and would recommend it to other dog owners, especially if you work from home and need a quiet, productive day. COVID RESPONSE UPDATE:…read more Our pup Oliver has been feeling super cooped up over the last few months. Walks can only do so much and he was really restless and getting into some trouble around the house. He really needed some socialization so we decided to take him to BreedAbove for a play date. I called ahead to make sure his vaccines were up to date (it's been a while since he had been) and emailed the updated certificates to get him all set up. The next day we dropped him off and he was SO EXCITED he didn't even look back at me as they took him in. He had the best time and I was so happy to see him tired and satisfied. "He played hard with EVERYONE!" they told me when I picked him up! Pick up and drop off is all curbside and staff is masked. I was so happy to see some of our favorite staff members there after almost a year away, and they were just as excited to see Oliver, remembering him after all this time (they also remembered his sister Poppy, who is not so into playing with other dogs and stayed home with us). The windows are all decorated super cute with lots of positive notes painted on the side. I had to update my payment info since my card expired since last we were here and they came out to take the card and brought it back out to me so I didn't have to go inside at all. I ended up buying another batch of day passes for him and I'm excited to be able to drop him off easily and safely whenever he needs a little excitement.

She no longer has coffee & treats in the lobby, but I think that's expected as business grows. Every year, Santa & the Easter bunny make an appearance, and you can buy a ticket for your cat to see them! Bernie has been on the nice list for the past three years. This place is super clean. They have cat boarding, and also they just started seeing dogs 1-2 days a week (and those days are dogs-only). If you want top notch boarding & grooming for your cats, this is the place to go. Also, you can just book a nail trim or claw caps or other a-la-cart options.
