Absolutely love this vet clinic. They're a hybrid vet…read moreclinic, so they have licensed vets on site if needed, but for standard checkups you'll usually have a vet on a video call while a Vet Tech does the in person handling. I could see that being potentially troubling, but EVERY SINGLE VET TECH has been more skilled, detail oriented and caring than any other licensed veterinarian that we've been to. A while back our cat had some issues eating & was under the weather. We took him to a 24 hour clinic, had to wait for 7 hours, and the vet just told us he was fine & charged us $800. Took him to Dandy Acres the next day, and they were quick, took great care in explaining all the possibilities every step of the way, and the vet tech noticed a lesion on our cats gums while it was hissing. Turned out he just needed some antibiotics, and the other clinic just didn't bother to check. Should also be noted that Dandy Acres is extremely transparent in their pricing breakdowns and care strategies. We went to get our other cat neutered recently, and after his initial physical, they put together an entire treatment plan and went over it step by step with us, including the associated costs and price matching that they were able to do to save us money These people genuinely love animals, and make it very clear they're here to help whenever possible. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Dandy Acres Animal Hospital is a phenomenal and humane place to receive care for your beloved pet…read more My dog Rosie had to have a ligament replacement in her knee after tearing her cruciate and her primary veterinarian at Shelter Bay Animal Hospital (another awesome facility which is their sister-hospital ) sent me there for the procedure. Dr. Weegs and her nurse Jacob were sensitive, caring, professional, and supportive, and I knew my dog was in good hands. After the surgery, Dr. Weegs came out to update on Rosie's status and was so compassionate and supportive, she brought tears to my eyes! Their awesome front desk staff even selected 12 month financing for the care credit card I used to lighten the load without me even requesting it, and the price for the surgery was less expensive than the initial quote. The facility itself is clean, bright, beautiful and doesn't have an odor at all. They even provide coffee for you in their lobby. Despite it being nerve wrecking to have my fur baby have to go through this tough procedure and recovery process, it was a pleasure to have the work done at Dandy Acres. These people are angelic and have embraced the mission of providing care to God's most vulnerable creatures - animals. I highly recommend you take your pet there for care!

What better time to adopt a new pet than during a pandemic, when you can spend your lockdown…read moregetting to know them? MARL did a great job with my two kittens from socializing them to screening prospective families. I appreciated a lot of the questions on the adoption application and I can see some reviewers here did not. Knowing the animals are going to a home that is owned with room to spare and that the family has been vouched for by veterinarians who have worked with them previously is in everyone's best interest. One of my kittens was a little sick the day after I brought them home (probably due to stress from the car ride and new environment) and MARL was great about staying in contact with me and recommending my next moves. They even offered to give me the medication free of charge but I wasn't able to come by during their operating hours. I ended up taking the kitten to my own vet and he is fully recovered and living the good life with his brother. MARL really cares about these little ones.

You can tell how passionate they are about the animals who live there and from intake to placement they put all their love into getting the right animals with the right families. My favorite thing about being a volunteer with MARL is the different ways you can help. You can come in and visit with the resident dogs and cats, or take a dog on an outing, fostering is also an option, and there are always events to help with as well. We've also adopted from MARL as well, and they had great medical records and follow-up care. When Phoebe needed additional treatment for a medical issue that had been treated at MARL they offered to provide the medication for her even after we had adopted her officially. I highly recommend this shelter for whatever your animal needs are.

Wanting someone local I went to Lucy spa. When I arrived to pick him up from his 1st appointment with Lucy spa I was informed he had to be muzzled because he was trying to bite her. "6 month old puppy"!!! Like other comments state on yelp. The manager/owner gives vet advice which is illegal in Michigan without a license. Knowing nothing about my puppy's health the manager/owner stated my "puppy" which is on seizure medication should have been put on trazadone as well for grooming. She said my puppy was horrible and would not let her groom him. My puppy is under the care of Tecumseh Veterinarians Dr Ed, Dr Sarah and Dr Laura. I Immediately called my vets and was recommended a new local groomer "grooming by design". Today Chewy had his 1st at appointment at "grooming by design", he is now 8 months old. Sierra did an amazing job! When I went to pick him up Sierra said the something as the two groomers at petsmart. She said she had absolutely no problems with Chewy and he did great! Thats "3" different groomers that has had no problems with our puppy but manager/owner had to muzzle the baby. **This woman's comments to my review is absolutely lies!!! SHE stated she could not believe my vets did not put my puppy on trazadone for grooming! As other reviews state she thinks she a Veterinarian! No worries "grooming by design" is doing a wonderful job with Chewy. He is now in good hands.
