Here to update and change my review. What was reviewed before was the truth so there's no denied…read morethat. Had an 11am appointment today and took both my sweet orange kitties Leo and Zion in for their annual shots. I have to say that this place is the best as far as affordable pricing for 2 cats I'm impressed. I wanted to give them a second chance. This is the second time I've seen dr mani maheshwari and she's the best. Very nice professional thorough. Very kind toward me and my cats. Leo was very scared and upset that he was there and she had no problem doing everything she needed to do in his carrier as to not make the situation worse. This means a lot to me. The vet tech Shannon was amazing too! Thanks guys. My cats are doing very well because of you. Also note: dr maheshwari saved my cat Zion from an infection last yr in Dec and he's doing quite well! Thanks Dix. I will be back.

if I could give 0 stars I would, I called to confirm my appointment on the day of my appointment…read moreand the front d desk didn't even know how to look up the appointment after being on the phone for 15 minutes. She finally was able to confirm my appointment I did get there the facility was clean the front desk. Staff was very busy, but still was able to check me in. I waited one hour to be seen by a veterinarian who I would never in my life take my dog to see again. She was very rude and unapproachable. The veterinarian tech was very helpful and informative. this has a $25 for patient visit fee when I went to the front desk I was told that would not apply because that's only for patients who are being seen the first time and getting vaccinations where my was just getting a consultation and a check up and he was already up-to-date on all of his shots so the doctor did not approve the fee. Very unprofessional, if you're looking for someone to treat you like family then this is definitely not the place.

We've finally had enough after multiple bad experiences with this office…read more Yes, we own a pit bull. She is one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs you'll ever meet. She gets anxious at the vet, but her "anxiety" consists of hiding behind us or lying on the floor. She has never acted aggressively toward anyone. Instead of working with an anxious dog in a compassionate way, this office repeatedly labeled her as "vicious" and constantly pressured us to sedate her before appointments. That label followed her into her medical records. When we switched to a new veterinarian, they were genuinely surprised to see it because they commented on how incredibly sweet and well-behaved she is. It's incredibly disappointing that a dog's breed seems to have influenced how she was treated. An anxious dog is not automatically a dangerous dog. On top of that, their prices are outrageously high. We consistently paid nearly double what other local veterinary clinics charge for similar services. We trusted them for far too long before realizing how much we were being overcharged. We expect veterinary professionals to treat animals with compassion, patience, and without prejudice. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. Between the excessive costs, the unfair labeling of our dog, and the repeated pressure to medicate her unnecessarily, we cannot recommend this clinic to anyone--especially anyone with an anxious dog or a pit bull. I was also shocked by the owner's public response to our Google review. Instead of responding professionally, they referenced details from our pet's medical records and discussed our care publicly in an attempt to defend the practice. As clients, we trusted this hospital with our pet's medical information, and seeing those details used in a public review response felt incredibly unprofessional. Whether or not they believed they were justified, it gave us the impression that any client who leaves a negative review risks having their private veterinary history publicly discussed. That response alone confirmed we made the right decision to take our pets elsewhere.

Dandy Acres Animal Hospital is a phenomenal and humane place to receive care for your beloved pet…read more My dog Rosie had to have a ligament replacement in her knee after tearing her cruciate and her primary veterinarian at Shelter Bay Animal Hospital (another awesome facility which is their sister-hospital ) sent me there for the procedure. Dr. Weegs and her nurse Jacob were sensitive, caring, professional, and supportive, and I knew my dog was in good hands. After the surgery, Dr. Weegs came out to update on Rosie's status and was so compassionate and supportive, she brought tears to my eyes! Their awesome front desk staff even selected 12 month financing for the care credit card I used to lighten the load without me even requesting it, and the price for the surgery was less expensive than the initial quote. The facility itself is clean, bright, beautiful and doesn't have an odor at all. They even provide coffee for you in their lobby. Despite it being nerve wrecking to have my fur baby have to go through this tough procedure and recovery process, it was a pleasure to have the work done at Dandy Acres. These people are angelic and have embraced the mission of providing care to God's most vulnerable creatures - animals. I highly recommend you take your pet there for care!

Wanting someone local I went to Lucy spa. When I arrived to pick him up from his 1st appointment with Lucy spa I was informed he had to be muzzled because he was trying to bite her. "6 month old puppy"!!! Like other comments state on yelp. The manager/owner gives vet advice which is illegal in Michigan without a license. Knowing nothing about my puppy's health the manager/owner stated my "puppy" which is on seizure medication should have been put on trazadone as well for grooming. She said my puppy was horrible and would not let her groom him. My puppy is under the care of Tecumseh Veterinarians Dr Ed, Dr Sarah and Dr Laura. I Immediately called my vets and was recommended a new local groomer "grooming by design". Today Chewy had his 1st at appointment at "grooming by design", he is now 8 months old. Sierra did an amazing job! When I went to pick him up Sierra said the something as the two groomers at petsmart. She said she had absolutely no problems with Chewy and he did great! Thats "3" different groomers that has had no problems with our puppy but manager/owner had to muzzle the baby. **This woman's comments to my review is absolutely lies!!! SHE stated she could not believe my vets did not put my puppy on trazadone for grooming! As other reviews state she thinks she a Veterinarian! No worries "grooming by design" is doing a wonderful job with Chewy. He is now in good hands.
