Edit: 6/28/12 Well,…read morethe initial good impression has finally worn off. We have taken our puppy to stay at the Doghouse multiple times now, and every experience gets a little weirder. After her first long stay there, puppy came back to us HUNGRY. This was strange, we had given instructions to let her have extra food if she seemed hungry (we even wrote this on her food tub) since we knew she would be very active running and playing with other dogs and might need more calories. Next stay, she came back to us with her crate full of food. Might explain why she was starving after her first stay, for some reason they crated her to feed her (the crate was provided for her to sleep in at night). Now the final straw, we keep receiving bills and past due notices from them for bills that have already been paid. We always pay our bills on time, and we're getting tired of running back through old credit card statements every time we hear from them. The facility is beautiful, the people who work there seem nice and competent, but our experiences with them are proving otherwise. ***************************** This place is just fantastic! Absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean facility, wonderful and extremely competent employees. Dogs that come here are expected to be social and have good manners. If you are looking for a place to take your dog for doggie daycare or overnight boarding and you can't stomach the thought of leaving him or her in the care of the underpaid and untrained employees typical at most boarding facilities, you have to check this place out. I do NOT recommend Pawz Inn for grooming. While their boarding services are fine, their grooming…read moreservices are sub-par. I dropped off my German shepherd for grooming services. They cleaned her fine but they didn't have the tools necessary to get to her undercoat. This has caused some serious matting to my dog's undercoat. At first glance, she seemed fine. Her coat was clean and she was fluffy. However, upon further examination, I noticed her undercoat was severely matted, to the point where she's in pain any time I try to rake her coat to resolve the matting. They had called me and told me that they "tried their best" and that they couldn't get to her undercoat properly. But I wasn't aware it was this bad. She didn't have any matting before I dropped her off. After trying to get her mats out for a week myself, I had to go to another groomer to fix the mats. It took several hours and over $180 to fix the problem they caused. They might be fine for small dogs or short coat breeds, but if you have a large dog with a thick undercoat, DO NOT bring your dog here. If they didn't have the tools necessary, they should have let me know from the beginning. I would've rather had them deny service than deal with the repercussions of them doing the poor job they did. They even charged me the full $100 for the grooming when all they did was make my dog matted.

I have 2 Brittany Spaniels, a male and female, 24 months and 18 months respectivlely. The female…read morecame in heat in march and I thought I kept them seperated long enough but found out my timing was off some, So the female had 2 pups this past Tuesday. I wanted to get their tails docked and dew claws removed and it has to be done between 3 and 5 days old. My vet wouldnt take me in nor would any other one close to me. So in checking I called Blue Pearl in Ann Arbor and they recommened Griffith, I called them and they set me an appoinment for this morning, also keep in mind I have never been there before because it is about 30 miles from my house. Anyway what can I say, I met Dr. Griffith and some of the staff and you couldnt ask for more professional people and a better experiance than I had. Dr. Griffith did a great job on the newborns, checked the mom over over for me to be safe all for waaaaayyyyy less than I was expecting to pay since it was such short notice and I wasnt a regular. But I tell you what I will be a regular from now on because Dr.Griffith has an old school mindset about vet care and I will be back in the future even though her hoispital is 30 miles away. Thank you Dr.Griffith for a great job and a great experience and for helping me out of a jam. Your staff is great also, polite, professional and took great care of me. It was just time for them to go and the staff showed so much compassion with the entire process and helping us make the decision. We recently got a new puppy and I waivered and tried a new vet because the location was more convenient and some other dumb reasons. After two visits, I immediately went back to Dr. Griffith and will not take my new puppy anywhere else. I'm embarrassed I thought it was a good plan to try a new place when we had a veterinarian that had been so good to our other dogs.
