My girlfriend and I work in Ann Arbor but live in Dearborn, and we decided to make the trip out on a weekend just to catch the sale, because not only was everything 15% off (cat products) , but the first fifty customers received goody bags. As expected, the goody bags came packed full of cat stuff that I know my cats are going to love. We are now at the point that my cats actually recognize the Pet Emporium bags and will try to sneak towards the bag and try to pull out various treats and toys. They carry the hot pepper seed that keeps our ravenous squirrels at bay and they have a purchase program for the bags of seed (buy 10 get one free) which is nice since we go through A TON of the stuff. I also get my pups some fun toys here. They have food allergies so I can't go too wild with the snacks but getting them fresh chew toys, stuffies, and other play things is always fun. My dog gets SO excited to go to camp. I can't drive down Ann Arbor Saline road with him in the car UNLESS that's where we are going because I'm pretty sure it's his favorite place other than home. Poppy is also blind and so he needs a little extra TLC at the best of times. He was comfortable with Autumn and a happy camper (or Cocker) after. When I took Poppy to the vet today for a check-up they commented on what a great job the groomer had done (they'd seen the before photos).

The employees are knowledgeable about the store's products and services which says a lot about Pet Smart. The prices are competitive to Petco and other chain pet food/supply stores. The main reason I chose Pet Smart is for their private label "Simply Nourish" cat food. My cat like many people's cats is finicky and this brand of food works. Cat litter is also reasonably priced. There are some expensive ones too. The store is located in a strip plaza with tons of parking available. The staff is friendly and work quickly to get customers in and out of the store.
