It's been about six months now that I took my Aussie in. She absolutely loves Jen R. However we had to go to someone else. It was a guy. But anyway, just asked for a wash and sweeten up the sides with scissor cut. When I came back to get Molly, she looked terrified. I chalked it up to just a new person. It looked literally like he just washed her and that was it. So disappointed. Then to top it off. What usually costs 110 turned out to be 150 because she was (difficult). Come on ppl. She's a dog with a new person Needless to say, won't be returning at all. Money grubbing jerks After I got home Molly was stretched out sleeping. I noticed on her side her skin was red. Looking at it more deeply I could see where tuffs of hair were missing. My girl was bald pretty much. Now ii know why she had the look of horror in her. I called the supervisor over the salon who I thought would be concerned and she just blew it off. Never again can I trust anyone. She terrified of baths now!!!! read more

This is for the grooming salon: I went in with my golden retriever for a simple bath, cut and deshedding treatment. I told them to just trim up her fur and clean it up. Came back to a SHAVED dog! Then he tells me that he had to add an extra cost to the treatment because her hair was long and it took long to brush out. She is a golden retriever, their hair is supposed to be long. Now she is a shaved, cold 12 year old golden retriever in Michigan weather. Never going back. Please don't take your dogs here. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR CAT GROOMED HERE. I cant believe they even sent my cat out the door looking like he did. I'm new to the area and needed a new groomer, I decided to go the cheaper route and try Petsmart and I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for! My groomer in my hometown is obsessed with my cat and always says how well he does for her. Petsmart said they couldn't bathe him because he was too nervous.. which I found strange, but I blew that off because it's not like he was filthy. They called me after 30 minutes and said he was done.. which I also found strange. How did you give my very fluffy, long haired cat a lion cut in 30 minutes? Well.. it's because it was half-ass. I think kindergartener would've done a better job than they did. He left with mattes still under his belly and whole patches of hair not even cut, the only "lion" part of him was his tail. They did not cut the boots or his head properly. Pay the extra money and go to a professional groomer that actually went to grooming school.. not on the job training. I called and asked to speak to a manager and politely explained why I was dissatisfied with the groom I paid for. The manager gave me a refund without hesitation, which was great, but he definitely didn't seem to care too much or have much to say about how terrible the groomer did. My favorite pet store for all of my cats needs. This location is clean and orderly. I can always find what I'm looking for. The employees are knowledgeable about the store's products and services which says a lot about Pet Smart. The prices are competitive to Petco and other chain pet food/supply stores. The main reason I chose Pet Smart is for their private label "Simply Nourish" cat food. My cat like many people's cats is finicky and this brand of food works. Cat litter is also reasonably priced. There are some expensive ones too. The store is located in a strip plaza with tons of parking available. The staff is friendly and work quickly to get customers in and out of the store. read more

Usually take my dog elsewhere, but needed an emergency grooming and bath for my golden doodle. They had an opening a couple days away, so I took it. The facilities look clean and the staff were very friendly. They did an awesome job on my older doodle. He came out smelling good, the haircut was great and his nails were well done. read more

My fiancé and I have recently become puppy parents. When I say puppy parents I'm not talking about your regular "oh cool we have a dog now" type of puppy parents. No. We're talking those kind of puppy parents you consider unfollowing on social media, because if you have to look at one more picture or video of that damn dog doing literally the most basic remedial thing on the planet - you might stab someone. I'm not quite as obsessed with this dog as my fiancé is, but based on my tendency to let him lick my ice cream cone after licking his own butt - I'm pretty close. He's a 2 pound bundle of awesome and I'm not willing to just take him anywhere for his chic grooming needs. I was extremely impressed by the grooming staff at this Petsmart. I can't imagine their income being in the range of "I paid the mortgage and had a little left over to charter a jet to San Tropéz for the weekend" - but regardless they treated my pup like that was in fact their pay grade. He was 12 weeks old and the only "grooming" he'd been exposed to was a couple trips to the kitchen sink for a bath. They gave him the VIP treatment and did so in a way that was gentle and non-traumatizing for his young and vulnerable little soul. He went in looking like a mangy crackhead sitting on a busy street corner with a sign that read "Probably buying beer with your change. Please help." - and he came out looking like he was late for drinks with Sean Connery and Don Draper. Picture that scene in The Wizard of Oz when the cowardly lion goes to the spa and comes out poppin' - knowing he looks fine AF. That was our puppy Royce, except without the bows. He's not a basic b*tch he's a freaking warrior. In conclusion, we will be returning for their services as needed. read more

This review is for their grooming salon. They traumatized my dog (6 years old miniature retriever) in every sense of the word. Alex - a newly hired groomer according to (Amberland the manager) had my dog from 10 am to 4 pm to send my dog home with no progress report, poop on his butt and no haircut. When I discussed it with the manager her response was quote on quote : " Alex is very new and inexperienced and if you're not happy maybe Petsmart is not the right place for you" Long story short please don't waste your time at this place and save your dog a traumatizing experience. read more

I made an online order for a 50 lb bag of cat litter which I can't lift because I have bad knees. There was no button for curbside pick-up so I had to call the store to ask for it. The associate agreed to help me but somehow an order I placed an hour ago was still processing. When I gave her the order # she found the order but it had been sent to another store approximately 7miles away. She said I should go there to pick it up. I had double checked a million times that I had the right store when I placed the order, but somehow it go switched to the other store. I called the Ann Arbor Oak Valley Pet Smart where my order was accidentally placed. They told me I had to pick up the order by 7 pm so I only had 10 minutes to get there ( if i wanted to use curbside). I had used my Treat points to pay for a $14.00 order which took my payment down to 2 dollars. The associate said that if I cancelled my order it would take 24 hours to get my treat points back. So basically, I had to go into the Ypsilanti Carpenter Road store with no curbside pick-up and no treat points! I wanted curbside due to my knees and I wasn't clean because I had worked all day at home. I was very angry and frustrated so the manager went to the back of the store and brought my litter to the front. She also loaded it the car for me for which I am grateful. BUT I got overcharged by 12 cents because she had to enter the item manually which it's not the money, it's the principle. Also, the assocoate at the Ann Arbor store made a point of telling me I had some orders ahead of mine, as if I was acting like I was privilege! How the heck would I know there were people ahead of me when I'm speaking with her over the phone! I just wanted to be treated fairly and with respect. The Oak Valley employees need to be trained not to guilt trip the customers. It's a turn-off. I won't be doing business with Pet Smart anytime soon. If they check my orders they will see I almost always spend over $100.00. I will make sure Corporate sees this review! read more

I visited this brand-new PetSmart the day before its grand opening, and had my best experience in a pet store. We arrived looking for an indoor grass-patch for our new puppy, and were astounded by how clean this store was. The floor was pristine, the aisles were well-organized, and the service was exceptionally helpful. Within minutes, we found ourselves wandering through the small furry animal section, the aquatic section, and more. When we finally walked out, it felt like we had been on an adventure. Nice place, great staff I'm sure. I bought a baby guinea pig 10 days ago and had to take it to emergency vet last night 2/28 because he wasn't himself. He got really sick and had to be put on medication and he passed away this morning 2/29. I called for a refund but "by policy" they said i would have to bring my deceased animal for proof and they would have to take him which means i wouldn't be able to bring him home and bury him. He was family even for the little time that i had him. Really disappointed that their policy is that way. So we made him a nice cozy bed and lay him to rest in our backyard... I'm heartbroken. Also tried to take my cat here to get groomed, and he was stressed out not only because he was a cat but they had three dogs barking at him all in the same room. I could groom him and he doesn't act that way. No wonder my poor baby was so stressed out. Really disappointed that I've had many problems with this petsmart. read more

Extremely disappointed! My dog, Lacey, was in the grooming salon on July 16, 2018. She was unfortunate and caught kennel cough on her visit. After taking her to the vet for confirmation, I contacted the groomimg salon. I was asked to bring in the information and cost from the vet. I did so immediately so that other dog owners could be notified. The bill was sent to headquarters by management. I have called on a regular basis to see why I have not heard back from headquarters, but the manager really doesn't have an answer. She says it is out of her hands. It's October 28. Seems like I have been patient enough with this company. I hope the salon was faster at contacting the other pet owners than headquarters has been with me!! read more

Second time I've taken my Lillie here closer than Ann Arbor location where Lillie loves and this time they told me that the next time Lillie bit CARMEN she would have to be muzzled and an extra charge! My Lillie have never ever bitten a groomer even when she has been badly matted. She doesn't even bite the vet for shots! CARMEN IS NOT ONE TO CHOOSE AND DESERVES LESS THAN ONE STAR! I took my dog there today, for her first groom ever.. I was very nervous about how she would behave and what they would even be able to do for her. Our groomer, Kelli, was so sweet with her and patient- it took almost two hours to get just the basics done, but I know she made my lil pup feel at ease, and gave her plenty of breaks to calm down during the process. Jessie always stops to ask me how my pets are and blows my mind with her knowledge of pet food. Our groomer, Chelsea, is just as AWESOME.
