What an amazing day we had! The views were amazing, we saw a group of rafters come through the rapids. If you ever get a chance to do this...Do It! Liana was our guide and she was great, very well informed on the bridge and the area around it. After the walk she suggested we take the old Fayetteville Station Road drive, and pointed out the large drop off at the first turn.. girl you weren't kidding.

What an adventure! And an amazing walk across the catwalk under the bridge! Sarah was an excellent guide and was full of information about the history of the Bridge. I would not hesitate to do this again! I felt safe and the experience was unforgettable!

Had the best time in our tour today! Our guide Delaney was very sweet and knowledgeable about everything since she grew up in the area. I was nervous but I'm so glad I went. Delaney made the experience fantastic!

Very informative tour in an unconventional setting. The views were amazing while learning about the history of the Gorge and the Bridge. Would love to return to do this in the Fall!

If you are even remotely considering doing the Bride Walk, do it! It is an amazing experience. Unless you are completely terrified of heights you will feel safe and secure. The guides are wonderful and make sure you are good the entire way and even give you a final opportunity to change your mind once you reach the start of the walk. The views are beautiful and you have plenty of time to enjoy the walk and take pictures.

Absolutely Amazing Experience! I did the Bridge Walk at the New River Gorge Bridge this past Sunday, and it was absolutely amazing! What an unforgettable experience walking beneath one of the most iconic bridges in the country -- 851 feet above the beautiful New River! Even though the catwalk is only about two feet wide, I felt completely safe the entire time. We were securely harnessed in, and safety was clearly the top priority from start to finish. Our guide, Larry, was phenomenal. He was energetic, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable -- a true wealth of information about the bridge, its history, the surrounding area, and even the engineering marvel that makes this bridge so special. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time while sharing tons of fun facts that made the walk even more fascinating. If you're visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary. And if you can, definitely request Larry as your guide -- he really made the experience extra special. It's safe, scenic, and an absolute must-do when visiting West Virginia!

Oh this is amazing! I don't think you'll be able to do this almost anywhere else! The walk was mostly flat save the hike down to and away from the bridge. Gear load is minimal, views from the catwalk are incredible, and you feel perfectly safe the whole time. If you would like, you may get to have a seat near the middle of the bridge! It's a little cooler under the bridge, and closed toed shoes are recommended. Gift shop has great gear, and you can pair the bridge walk with the Fayette Station driving tour to see how long the crossing used to be; the old one way route is under you the whole walk!

Go! Just do it! Girls trip of hiking, camping and this. West Virginia overall doesn't get the credit it deserves. I can't say enough how nice everyone was. Mattie was our guide and she's amazing at what she does..... she knows her stuff. Let me just share pics.

Omg if you want a trill - THIS IS IT!!! If you think that this going to be a quick walk-through, I don't think so. They actually stopped few times in the middle so everyone can get their photos. Will I do this again? Probably won't but it's definitely a great experience for first time. Happy exploring!!!!

This bridge walk was the highlight of my time at New River Gorge National Park. I really appreciated how knowledgeable our guide was, and he gave us plenty of time to take photos along the way.

You can sit an dangle your legs when you reach the middle of the bridge.

It was great! Can be a bit scary for those afraid of heights. It can be loud and shaky under the bridge if there is heavy traffic above. I feel the shakiness just added to the ambiance of walking a catwalk under a bridge! Never did I feel unsafe. You are tethered to a cable the entire time. It can be a bit windy, so dress accordingly. I'm glad I wore a knit hat (10/21/25). The views are spectacular!

    Cool and amazing bridge!

My friends and I had an awesome experience on the Bridge Walk. Paul, our guide, was informative, entertaining, and made us feel safe the whole time. He deserves a bonus when it comes time!! And, of course the bridge is an engineering wonder!

The bridge itself was the star of the day!

It was a perfect outing from start to finish! John was an excellent guide and fun to talk to. He had a very calming manner which really helped with some of our "height averse" group members! And the views-WOW!!

While we decided to just stick with hiking, the national park offers rafting, fishing, hunting, and bridge walking. The canyon rim visitor center was packed with useful information and history, the staff were friendly and helped us map out our day. This national park has free entry which was a nice bonus! If you're camping go early because you can't reserve campsites and they fill up fast. We couldn't find a spot for the first night and ended up having to stay at a paid campground outside the park. The second night we found a spot at Meadow Creek campground, it's an open field surrounded by trees. Don't miss the waterfall or the old railroad town of Thurmond! You'll cover all angles of the bridge (well, not an aerial view) by doing both. The bridge walk was a unique, bucket list experience and the 8 mile one way drive was very picturesque. Make sure you visit the Canyon Rim visitor center too which has an epic view of the bridge and canyon in back!

Two of the ladies in the group could not participate in the white water river rafting the first day and while out exploring Fayetteville, saw the Ride in a Bi-Plane sign. They looked at each other said "we are going on a different adrenaline pumping adventure"! They both went up and came back to the resort with such enthusiasm, I just knew I had to take a ride myself. Chris the pilot was very accommodating and was able to fit me in. From the moment I was seated in the plane and Chris went over all of the safety instructions and strapped me in, I knew this was going to be exciting. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and I can say I was a bit nervous. But once Chris explained what was going to happen, I was relaxed and looking forward to what has always been a dream of mine to do. Once up in the air, Chris asks how much you would like to experience and what you think you can handle and then gives you a little test by pulling the plane upwards and seeing how that feels. He had me.....I wanted all of what that plane could do. It was the most thrilling experience I have ever had and I was very sad when the flight came to an end. Needless to say, back on the ground and back at our cabin, I was still flying high from the adrenaline and three of the other ladies decided to try it also. So the next day we went back out to the field and they also rode. I have attached a photo of our group and the smiles petty much say it all. Thank you Wild Blue Adventures for the life changing adrenaline ride of my life! I hope I can find my way back there again for at least one more ride for an hour or however long Chris can keep that plane in the air.
