I found Nadia through a couple of other bride friends that had used her amazing seamstress talents!…read more Nadia was very communicative and nice! She gave suggestions when we needed guidance and did a fantastic job on taking my dress in and hemming the bottom, adjusting straps, adding in breast cups and creating my bustle. Nadia also altered my traditional Chinese dress (cheongsam) under the underarms so it fit better. The dress had a lot of embroidery and sequins. You would have never known it was altered! I highly recommend Nadia for your alteration needs!

She is also pricier than other seamstresses I've shopped around with. She has a limited schedule. When I did my initial fitting she kind of waited for me to tell her what I wanted fix. I knew dress didn't fit perfectly but I couldn't pin point how to fix it. The seamstress I worked with for my reception dress was a lot more helpful in guiding me on what should be done. The one thing I did ask for (tightened straps), she didn't recommend because she thought it would cut into me when I moved--I was constantly pulling them up on my wedding day. One thing really bothered me. When I booked, she stated there would be 2-3 fittings. However; when I asked when I asked when my 2nd fitting would be she said she was fully booked. Like I said earlier, she has a limited scheduled. I was really nervous, but I was able to book at G&G instead of at her house so I was able to get my second fitting. It food well enough that I didn't ask for any adjustments because I was already frustrated with the situation. The hemming and bustle she did were okay. The extra breast cups she put in were loose and could have been done better. I think Nadia was a skilled seamstress but I would choose someone else if I could do it all again. I would have preferred to use the seamstress I had for my reception dress. The communication, scheduling, and pricing was much better.

A very reliable tailor near Berkeley, and the only one I'll be going to until I move!…read more I got my dresses hemmed and it was done perfectly. The stitching was on point! It looked as if that's exactly how the dress came in. At the appointment, the owner takes the time to understand how it's supposed look, and how you want it to fit. After the appointment, it was very easy to communicate with the owner. He responded promptly and was transparent. I had to schedule a last minute hemming request and it was done on time! If you're in a pickle, just call and see if he can do it. He will not schedule an appointment if he knows he cannot get it done on time, which I appreciate for being direct. I'll definitely come back but this time without any last minute requests!

He's very kind, understanding, and is a master of the craft. Below is a recent before and after of a vintage thobe I thrifted that needed some love. It was originally way too large for me and I wanted to convert to short sleeves & lose the 70s shoulder poof without removing any of the handmade cross stitch embroidery. The after picture speaks for itself. The thobe fits perfect with all the right details I wanted Thank you as always for the excellent work!

I've asked him to fix the shoulder area because it was loose and doesn't feel secure. I also asked him to hem the dress to floor length. He did both of my requests perfectly! From the very beginning, he was super upfront, honest, and transparent about everything, which I really appreciated. Wedding planning can already feel overwhelming, so having someone I could fully trust made such a difference. You can tell right away that he's incredibly skilled and truly knows what he's doing -- the fit turned out absolutely perfect. One thing I especially loved was how helpful he was with my bustle. I had no idea what direction to go in, and he took the time to walk me through different options and explain what would work best. His recommendation ended up being exactly what I needed -- both practical and beautiful. Beyond the actual work, his support throughout the whole process honestly took a huge weight off my shoulders. I always felt taken care of and knew I was in good hands. So so grateful I found him -- thank you again, Mo!
