I don't understand why they have a low rating. My family has come here for years for weddings. Yesterday, it was my turn. Barbara assisted me in finding the *perfect* wedding dress. I came in wanted either a vintage looking fitted gown, or a ball gown (talk about polar opposites). She very quickly learned what styles I liked and what I wanted. I was impressed with how in tune she was with what I wanted. The very last dressed she picked out for me she knew I would love... and I DID! The whole time she made me feel super comfortable and was joking around with my friends who came for support. She also helped me stay below my budget! My 2 daughters and I were part of a wedding party recently. My teenage daughter chose a dress that was beautiful on her. Per the recommendation of the staff, we ordered the recommended size. When we went for the first fitting, my daughter had gained a little weight and developed some. The lady who was assisting us said "we can take dresses in but not out. You can't gain any more weight". How dare she say that to anyone, let alone a teenage girl??? Come time for the second fitting, closer to the wedding, dress is still too tight. I argue and finally they tell us they can take it out an inch on both sides. Well we finally go to pick up the dresses, it's still too tight. Here comes day of wedding, we put the dresses on, about to go take pictures......the zipper splits completely! Poor kid had to be pinned and covered with a shawl. Worst experience ever! 10/10 don't recommend! Unless you enjoy being fat shamed. read more

This was the WORST experience I've ever had trying on bridesmaid dresses. Another bridesmaid and myself went in tonight to try on and purchase our dresses. We knew the designer, fabric, length and color we were supposed to get. When we got there for our "appointment" the women working looked flustered and were all over the place. After confirming our appt the woman basically said here are all of the dresses, have at it! Why did we make an appointment if no one was going to help us?! Finally after trying several dresses on we picked the dresses we liked. We waited 20+ minutes for the woman to come over and tell us to try on the same designers dress but in the correct size. We did, and after doing that and getting our measurements we found out that someone had put away the dress/style we liked and wanted to purchase. So we had to search through the entire store a second time to find the styles we wanted so that they had the correct item number. What a NIGHTMARE. They were rude and pushy through this entire experience and now I'm not even sure that we got the dresses we wanted!! I shouldn't have even bought it. Based on these other reviews I don't think I will be getting the dress altered there. I won't be giving them anymore of my money. My advice: go somewhere, ANYWHERE else but here. read more

They are nice when selling you a dress. However, once they have your sale they are rude and threatening and have obscene rules that where never mentioned at the time of sale. Don't bother going here especially if you want to be able to go in and try on ur dress afterwards, they make it impossible. I feel horrible for my future sister in law as this place has caused her much stress during what should be a fun time in her life. read more

So if you are looking for the full "red carpet" experience when shopping from your wedding gown look no further. I stopped in on a whim one evening after finding a picture of a dress online. I didn't have an appointment but they were able to take my right in. Terry, sat with me and asked all the right questions to find what my idea of the perfect gown was. She pulled the dress I had a picture of and several others. The dress in the picture looked better in the picture but since Terry knows her stuff she pulled the most amazing dress. I fell in love and was soooo happy with the exceptional customer service that after saying yes to the dress for me. We came back for the MOB and MOG dresses and also are doing all of the tuxedos here too. Went in for wedding shoes. They didn't have the right size to try on. We were told that we could order a different size but if they didn't fit right we would be out of luck. Sales are final. I can do better with Amazon. Too bad, We were excited after meeting them at the bridal show. We will keep looking. read more

Do you like being ignored when you walk into a shop and treated in an unprofessional, cursory manner? If you do, this is the place for you. My friend and I were shopping for mother of the bride dresses. When entering Bridal Corner, a woman with blond, short chopped hair was on the phone. Though two customers were standing in front of her, she sneered at us and continued with her conversation. A younger graceless salesperson finally showed us to the backroom and quickly exited. After trying on a few dresses, my friend selected one and tried to walk to the front to speak to a salesperson. She was blocked by the tailor pinning a dress on another patron. Again at the front desk, we were disregarded, so subsequently we left the store disgusted. read more

Now that I've purchased my wedding dress (and had experiences with other bridal boutiques/shops), I'm confident that I can give a fair review of each one. Two women from Bridal Corner were at a wedding expo held at the Big E, and after speaking with them there, I decided to set up an appointment. And so, Bridal Corner was my very first stop, the first time I ever laid eyes upon a wedding gown with the intention of wearing it. I had a total of two appointments. My first appointment, I went in alone. The bridal gowns are all upstairs, in a beautifully intimate loft with comfortable couches and plush decor. During a brief chat with my stylist, I revealed what I hoped to wear down the aisle [a classic silhouette with long sleeves, a lace overlay and a chapel train], and she inquired about my budget [which was a middle-of-the-road $1500]. Just like another reviewer mentioned, I was immediately shuttled to the "budget" room, which made me, as a bride-to-be, feel very embarrassed. Most of the dresses in the budget room had a very dated or particular "style" that did not match the classic look I was going for. I did find one slightly promising option, however, a Maggie Soltero Couture "Symphony" gown for $880. I agreed to try it on as it looked reasonably classic, but also was given several other budget gowns, too. Bridal Corner did have a dress that fit the vision that I thought I wanted, but it was outside of my budget; I asked to try it on anyway, to see if I did indeed like the style. The long sleeved, lace overlay, over-budget dress looked absolutely horrible on me. I won't go into details. And, as could be expected, I didn't care for any of the suggested budget gowns I was encouraged to try on. The Maggie Soltero gown did look nice, gave me a terrific shape, but was nothing like what I had dreamed of wearing: it was strapless, satin with no lace overlay, with a corset backing. While the stylist ooh-ed and awed over my new found waist, I was secretly panicking. This was nothing like what I anticipated... not the dress, not the experience... was this what it was "really like?" I asked to take pictures of me in the gown, since I was there alone, and was hushedly told that I could, but quickly and quietly (I guess this isn't allowed?). I decided that I would come back the next day, armed with my future mother-in-law for support, to see what she thought about the Maggie Soltero gown. While she mused that it "looked nice", there were none of the breathtaking reactions you so often see on TV. I struggled and struggled in the dressing room, trying to come to grips with my "dream dress" not being a reality (because, you know, we jump to those conclusions when we're stressed). Added to that was the pressure I felt to commit to the Maggie Soltero gown. My stylist, while I'm sure trying to be helpful and supportive, overwhelmed me by telling me over and over again that she was sure this was "my dress" "The One" and that, since it was a sample gown left over at a budget price, it was sure to be gone soon. I honestly cried. I didn't know what to do! Should I settle for the Maggie Soltero gown? It looked good on me, was in budget, but was nothing like what I dreamed! My first time in a bridal boutique was uninspiring and left me feeling deflated. We left without any further commitment, though the owner very politely offered to work with my on the finances of it, if that would help my decision-making. And I truly did appreciate that. Bridal Corner is not a sub-par shop, it just wasn't the shop for me. I had ideas of the styles I liked, but knew nothing about the different types of gowns, all the varieties and options, who designed what. I needed someone to hold my hand (quite honestly) and guide me through this process and help me discover the perfect wedding dress for me: one that fit what I felt comfortable in, without any compromises. Now that I've had that "dream" experience, I can recommend to other brides like me: do lots of research on the styles of gowns you like. Save pictures and make notes about them. Look up who designs those dresses. Look up similar designers to the ones who design those dresses. And find small, relaxed boutiques where you can try on multiple types of dresses by that designer that fit your dream and budget. read more

I am the bridesmaid that went with the reviewer, Jen H., to look at wedding dresses. Everything she said is absolutely accurate. They were pushy and made all involved feel terribly uncomfortable. They repeatedly brought me into a room by myself to tell me that this was "the dress" and that I needed to convince her to get it. I could tell just by the look on my friend's face that it was NOT her dress, that she was extremely uncomfortable with the whole situation, and that she couldn't wait to get out of there. I even had to tell one of the women to stop pushing her to buy it. When it is my turn to get married, I will be sure to skip bridal corner when shopping. read more

Do not go to this salon! Not only are the people rude and brusque but they do terrible work. The staff consistently orders dressed way to big to run up the alteration fees and then when the alterations are complete they are incorrect - dresses that were three sizes to big suddenly become half a size too small. They leave everything until the last minute and are entirely disorganised and have terrible attitudes to boot. The dresses for our wedding very nearly never made it and though the staff hustled to get the dresses in time the alterations were sloppy and of poor quality and fit. Several dresses had to be reinforced and altered the day of the wedding. This place is not worth your time or effort. read more

My mother ordered a mother of the bride dress in March and they told her that her alterations would not be complete until August. I found my gowns this past winter, and worked with Sam and the shop owner. I was very happy with the service from both. Sadly, I found out Sam had left the salon after I had purchased my two dresses from them. However, another girl, named Luda I think..helped me try on my gowns when they came in. She was incredible, and the shop owner Anahlia...had done my measurements to PERFECTION, and both gowns fit like a glove. She even made time to come up to see them both when I was there for the fitting. My dresses are currently in storage at the shop, but I will re-comment after my wedding in 2014 regarding my final experience through alterations. I do recommend this shop, with the INCREDIBLE selection they do have. If they did have poor attitudes, or issues prior (Ashley S. commented in 2011)...it seems that they have most certainly have done a turn around. I'm not sure why there were negative reviews because everyone I worked with at this store was so overly accommodating and kind. I was so touched by the kindness of staff at this store. I came in dress shopping with my sister, mother and grandmother. My grandmother has difficulty with stairs, and the staff immediately saw that and accommodated us in a room downstairs instead of the upstairs rooms that are normally used for brides. They also heard us speaking about how that day was my grandmothers birthday. While I was trying on dresses working with Marissa, the owner of the store went out and purchased my grandmother cupcakes and the staff all came in singing to my grandmother with the cupcakes. My family was so touched by the kindness of the employees going above and beyond to make my grandma feel so special on her day. I think this just showed how flexible and accommodating they were to ensure that their brides felt special, and also the special people there with the bride during those moments. I had such a wonderful experience at bridal corner. It was my first time trying on a wedding dress, and I thought I would feel super overwhelmed, but Sabrina made me feel right at home. I had the whole floor to myself, and although I ultimately bought "the" dress elsewhere, my time at bridal corner was so special that I'll gladly recommend it to anyone in the area. They also had an amazing selection of gowns in larger sizes, so you can really get an accurate vision of what you'll look like on the big day. This bridal salon is awful. As a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding, I had to purchase a dress here. First, the dress they ordered is much too big. They clearly don't know how to do proper measurements because I'm swimming in this thing. I can get the dress on and off without using the zipper, it's that bad. Second, most of the staff I dealt with were rude and unprofessional, aside from one nice girl who was totally out of place in this shop. They also failed to mention that they only take cash on the final payment. Thanks, guys! While I understand why a business would do this, it is hugely inconvenient to not inform the customer of this ahead of time. Other reviews mentioned this, and the fact that they're incompetent at ordering dresses in a reasonable size, so I can imagine this happens often. Avoid this place like the plague. I tried on a few dresses and found the perfect gown. A specialty gown made for this store only. I felt i was rushed by Barbara to purchase the veil and head piece the same day, but in the heat of the moment blame myself for not stepping back and thinking things through. The issue i have, which i assume other bridal stores do the same thing.... for additions like sleeves or alterations you have to pay extra. Its a good idea to have your exact shoes for the wedding before you buy the dress because my dress was made too short and i was never made aware when they measure me the shoes mattered on the first day. Alterations on the dress had to be made about 3 times with the length and additional cap sleeves. This was frustrating, but i will say that the seamstress was willing to do what i asked and would come back into the room if i called her. I could tell it was important for her get the dress so it would be perfect in my eyes. If she was cursing me in her head, she was very respectful and gave me her professional opinion and i appreciate this. the final fitting showed their determination and the dress was perfect and sleeves in the proper place. I noticed a jewel piece missing from the head piece and they did fix it for me at no charge. The end result was gorgeous. I am very happy with everything i purchased at this store and not to mention the amazing maid of honor dress we found. The only other thing i would have liked is for the seamstress hours to be more accommodating for people who working 9-5. I would have loved not having to take time off work for my fittings, especially since i had so many. read more

It an $1800 size 14 wedding dress they ordered (& delivered 4 months later than promised!) for our size 4 daughter. I Yelped too soon and must update my review. I stand by my original assertion that Luda was really helpful and wonderful to work with while looking for dresses. However, my experience with this shop has turned into a total nightmare. We got the dresses and four of the five of them were too small - two to the point that we can't even get them on. I have spoken with the owner several times and verified the measurements that she took. Not only are they wrong according to my current seamstress, but they correspond to a different size on the dress designer's sizing chart than she ordered. When I asked her about this discrepancy, she admitted to having disregarded the sizing chart. I asked why and she said because based on the size chart, I needed the same size as the sample, and the sample was too large. Yes, the sample was big, but hundreds of women had probably tried it on before me. Even though she admitted to not going off the sizing chart, she has still refused to exchange my dress. If you are a competitor, you should hire her employee Luda - a gem in a terribly-run store. read more

We had come in once before with a very short window of time to look at dresses. The staff members who helped us were great about getting all of our stuff into the dressing room and taking them out when we were done. We went back a week later for another appointment and worked with Terri. She was absolutely wonderful! She was very honest and helpful when it came to making the tough decisions on dresses for both bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses. I appreciated her full honesty on how things looked on both of us. It was breath of fresh air. It is nice to know that she was on our side and not just there for the sale. I have never had a more personal and relatable sales person helping me especially through this process which has been a long one for us. I was so happy to have such an awesome experience and to be able to walk out with a dress on order. I understand that shopping for wedding dresses can be quite the task, but I feel like this store completely missed the mark. I've been thinking about writing this review for a while, and it's time that I do. I made an appointment for this store in the afternoon, and booked an appointment at another store earlier that morning. I went to my first appointment, tried on a few dresses, and found one I really loved. I didn't want to limit myself to just that store, though, so I decided to keep my appointment that afternoon for Bridal Corner. I went with one of my bridesmaids and my mom, who were both very supportive throughout the whole day. I was impressed with the store when I walked in. It had a different vibe than the last one I was in and had some seriously beautiful and unique dresses. I was to be trying on dresses with the lead seamstress and was pretty excited, because she seemed to know the dresses inside and out. I told them what my budget was (which was not a cheap budget), and the first thing they said was, "OK...we'll need to go to the budget room." Immediately, I felt embarrassed that I had a budget that required me to go to the "budget room." We went to look through dresses, and although I told her my size, she repeatedly brought me bigger sizes, all of which looked incredibly unflattering on me when I tried them on. There were a few that looked great, but weren't quite in my price range. She even turned to my mom at one point and asked if she could "spare 50 bucks" so I could get the dress, even though I hadn't made up my mind. I felt really insulted and felt like she cared more about making a sale than making me feel special. The worst part was when it came to the last dress I tried on. She originally put me in an 18, which I was swimming in. It was embarrassing how large it was on me, and it was also at the top of my price range. The three of us (myself, my mom, and my friend) weren't sold on the dress. It didn't look flattering and I didn't want to buy a dress that I couldn't envision on me. When I told her that this wasn't the dress because of the difference in size and that I had made up my mind about the dress I found at the previous store, she suddenly remembered that there was a size 12 in the dress. She put me in that dress, it fit beautifully, and before I even had time to think about it, she said, "Is THIS your dress?" I felt seriously pressured. It was only after about ten minutes that she felt the need to tell me that it was even cheaper because it was a smaller size, which was great. They were very nagging about whether or not it was my dress and continued to ask me. They told me I should make up my mind, because it'll be gone if I try to come back for it. They continued to bash the other store that I had went to earlier in the day, saying I had better "watch out for their alterations." It was a really unpleasant experience of being pushed and pulled into one dress or another. They were not friendly, accommodating, or thoughtful. It was like dealing with a car salesman. I really don't recommend this store to anyone. They don't let you look through the dresses yourself, they play games with you, and they're very, very aggressive. We went in after a terrible experience in another store and felt like it was home immediately from the time we were greeted to the time of the wedding. There was always someone to ask questions of if needed, we were treated like family. We got my daughter's wedding gown, the bridesmaids dresses, the tuxes, and the mother-of-the-bride dress. We were never rushed, we were asked many questions to get to what we were looking for, even though we weren't sure, and even though we came in on multiple occasions we were never treated in any other manner than professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful bridal shop to anyone looking for any type of attire from wedding to formal event to prom. Being of larger size myself there were not only many flattering styles to choose from, but I never felt uncomfortable or that I didn't fit in finding a dress because of my size. I bought a mother of the groom dress. It was beautiful. I ordered it and bought shoes there too. They hemmed it when it came in and I thought the tags under the arms were stabbing me. At home I put the dress back on to try necklaces and even though the tags were now removed I was still getting stuck on the back of my arms. It turned out to be the unlined material on the sleeves. To be fair it's the fabric the dress is made from. I called the shop right away and they said to bring the dress in. I did. I showed them the problem. I was told that it didn't bother her. She guessed she's just not sensitive. So now the problem has been transferred from the dress to it's owner. I said the dress should not be painful to wear and that I wanted the sleeves to be lined. I'm reasonable. First she said they don't do custom work - then they don't have any fabric- and they will not only charge me, but extra because the wedding is one week away. Not the response I was expecting to hear after spending nearly $600! They offered to give me the manufacturer's phone number. That wasn't the help I was looking for. I bought the dress from them - not the manufacturer. I took the dress, bought material for under $10, made my own lining and hand stitched in less than 3 hours. I'm not a seamstress. If a store sells a product they should stand behind it and work out a solution with the manufacturer. The customer should not have to resort to self help! Stay away from this shop. There's a reason they only accept cash as final payment. read more

I walked into Bridal Corner 30 minutes before they were about to close not excepting much, as I had no luck in the other 5 bridal shops I had visited. Sabrina helped me out the minute I walked in the door and she was awesome!!! I did not end up buying a dress from this store in the long run, but I felt that Sabrina was such a great sales person that I had to write this just to give her props! She was attentive to me the entire time I was there... she got a little overview of what I was looking for and pulled out about 5 dresses for me to try on. I told her that I was on a budget and she tried to find a dress that was perfect for me. Even though the store was about to close, she never once made me feel rushed. I was by myself and I felt so comforterable with her. About a week later, I received a card personally from Sabrina just following up with my thoughts. I thought this was AMAZING! DO NOT GO HERE!!! There are so many wonderful, reputable businesses in the area that cater to people in an amazing way, this is place is not one of them. I purchased my daughter's flower girl dress here because I couldn't find a proper dress anywhere else and I was running out of time. The dress came in and the belt color was wrong. I received no apology, no remedy, nothing. They made it seem like it was my mistake. Fine, I thought no big deal I'll just find a belt elsewhere. The dress was EXTREMELY wrinkled, and they didn't even offer to press it. When I asked, they told me there was an extra charge BUT I had to make an appointment and there was no guarantee I would get on the schedule. So I purchased an extremely expensive dress, with the wrong belt color, which is wrinkled beyond use...Horrible terrible customer service. I bought my wedding gown from Bridal Corner last year. Unfortunately, I have gained some weight since then. I paid $350 for the dress and they wanted to charge me over $500 for 2 small alterations. Obviously I was upset about the dress not fitting. The staff was very rude to me about it. I got a comment from the seamstress of "Maybe if you hadn't gotten so fat, you wouldn't be in this situation." The manager also told my fiance "You have two options, you can pay for the alterations, or you can make her jog home. Maybe then she'll lose some of the weight." Another employee stated "This is YOUR fault you know, YOU gained the weight." Also, the way the seamstress explained what needed to be fixed was rude and she was constantly saying "because you have so much fat here" or "because you gained so much weight there" We ended up taking the dress home and went to another store and bought a much nicer dress an hour later. We brought in my old dress to show the woman who is also a seamstress and she said that it would not cost that much. I do NOT recommend that ANYONE EVER go here. They are rude, unprofessional, and obviously get their kicks from tearing others down. The staff are nothing but a bunch of bullies. read more

NEVER SHOP HERE! This shop is the worst. They do not care about you after the dress is purchased. They are so wonderful during the dress finding and buying process then they know they have you and treat you like dirt. They made one of my sisters bridesmaids and my sister THE BRIDE cry because they were being so dumb and disrespectful. They do not inform you of the cost of alterations. They assume Brides and Bridesmaids know about all this. However, lets be honest this may be the one and only time a woman buys a dress for this much money you need to have full disclosure about costs. They fitted my sister THE BRIDE for alterations then never quoted an estimated cost for them or itemized or anything. She signed nothing. Agreed to nothing. They went ahead and did the alterations then told her when she went to pick the dress up it would cost her X amount and she was shocked because she had paid the dress in full and since NO ONE said to her her alterations would cost X amount she thought she was done. I had been married prior to my sister and when I was fitted for alterations i was given an itemized list beforehand to approve or not and take items off if I wanted too. This shop has bad business practices and does everything to trap brides and bridesmaids. I lived out of state at the time of the wedding so had to order my dress over the phone and put a down payment on a credit card. When I went to pay the rest of the dress they told me had I put the whole cost of the dress on the card that would have been ok but since it was just a down payment the rest had to be cash. I informed them that NO ONE told me this. To which the response was you signed a paper when you purchased the dress that stated this. Hahahahaha, nope I did not I ordered over the phone. I guess I was getting loud enough to alert the shop owner who came over asking what the problem was. She agreed to let me pay by credit card I guess to shut me up. Then I was told that alterations are cash only. Hmmmm? No suspicious activity there. I was fuming at this point because i was pregnant at the time and would be in my 38th week for the wedding and had no choice but to have them alter the dress. NEVER SHOP HERE FOR ANY REASON. When choosing my dress the women that helped me was great , super friendly, helpful and patient . I explained to the seamstress who I believe is the manager that I was trying to conceive and my wedding was a whole year away, collectively we decided to order my dresses multiple sizes too big just in case. Many months later, 4 months before the wedding I still hadn't conceived and when I asked the same woman what I should do she suggested that I STOP TRYING TO HAVE A BABY . I was devastated, mortified by her words, I chose to change the size of my dress and was charged $100 just to change it . When my dress came in I was pregnant but not far along and the dress was too big . I was shocked to find out that it would then cost me $500 for alterations and even a extra charge just for them to iron the dress which is absolutely absurd to me ! The day before my wedding my sister went to pick up my dress and they charged her $125 stating that I hadn't paid for my petti coat but I had already paid for it . If my sister didn't have the $125 to pay then they weren't going to allow her to take the dress, luckily she did. So the day after my wedding before I could even leave for my honeymoon I had to go back to Bridal Corner to show both receipts and get my sisters money back . I will NEVER recommend Bridal Corner to anyone but I must say that Sabrina was extremely sweet and helpful. read more
