The service was a delightful mix of completely attentive, being available if needed but easy and respectful if you're "just looking." Though, with the beautifully curated collection of under-things, my guess is that the lovely lingerie becomes irresistible and you'll be trying things on quite quickly. It seems that everyone there is knowledgeable about how clothes should feel and fit. The prices seemed reasonable for a lovingly owned independent shop. Well this was the most relaxing shopping experience I have ever had. Nevermind, during a pandemic. I am not sure if they are appointment only or not, but I made an appointment before arriving and was welcomed in and brought immediately to the dressing room. I took my winter jacket off and the woman assisting me took one look at me, said she she'd be right back and promptly returned with a bra that fit perfectly. She continued to bring in bras, at the perfect pace. Most stores do not carry my size so I was thrilled that there were several options that actually fit and were nice looking! It was the easiest shopping experience of my life and I ended up with two great bras that actually fit. They carry bras in up to size O and also have bathing suits and lingerie. Best range of bra sizes around! I have a hard to find bra size and there's always a bra there for me. The ladies will do a fitting for you and are amazing at their jobs. They listen to what you want, help you by grabbing you bras the entire time you're in the fitting room, and never pressure you to buy. This is a full-service shop- there isn't a lot of merchandise on the floor/ available to customers directly, because you're supposed to go through the staff. The staff is what sets this place apart from all the others. They will find you the best-fitting bra of your life by *any means necessary.* They know more about boobs than anyone I have ever met. They also offer: - custom lingerie creation (they will make you a bra) - free tailoring and alterations (so that whatever you buy will fit perfectly) - and, if you want, they will keep the information of what you bought on file, so you never have to remember what the heck you bought that one time. Well-stocked lingerie store. I wouldn't say they have much to turn your heart over if you're interested in exquisitely done unique lingerie, but they have a good selection of attractive stuff. A wide array of Mary Green silk underwear, nice pyjamas and slips and some decent bras (a little frou frou for my taste, but...) Remember when you could trust that if you found kind bra that you could find another in the same size but a different color? Well, today I went to Gazebo and all my mom's questions were answered! She is 86 and needed help getting the right fit. She is modest and absolutely sure she doesn't want me to help her find the right bra. So, almost dragging her into Gazebo and turning her over to a VERY CAPABLE salesperson was amazing. 15 minutes later my mom was happy and in the right bra! I visited the Gazebo again recently. They were having a sale where the first bra was 10% off, the second 20% off, and the third 32% off. It was only later when I looked at the receipt that I realized: they'd taken the biggest discount off the most expensive bra! This is the opposite of how most stores operate. Most stores running a sale like this would take the biggest discount off the least expensive item, to cost themselves the least money. Gazebo is pure class. Btw, this sale was available only to those on their email list. It's worth signing up for if you're ever going to shop here. It's very low volume, as in no more than a couple messages a month, they don't spam, and they tell you about deals not advertised elsewhere. read more

I have been shopping at Gazebo for a long time, but a story from 2009 is emblematic of why this place is special. I had recently received a few thin cotton T-shirts from Garnet Hill and I definitely needed to upgrade my coverage, IYKWIM. I was in a rush, trying to get ready for a trip and literally had about 10 minutes. I walked in, told the woman what I needed, she measured me up and had me in my now-favorite Panache bra and out the door in about 10 minutes. The first bra I tried on was perfect and I have been buying them ever since. I have sent my daughter there with my credit card and a spending limit. The Gazebo women make sure she gets bras that fit her right and are appropriately decent. (She's a teen with a grown-up body.) They comb through the sale items for her and I think they have even given her a little extra discount off a sale item in order to get her in under her spending limit. That kind of care is what makes me so loyal. The owner is also a great supporter of many good causes in town. I am happy to be a customer there just for the service. That they give back is the icing on the cake for me! read more

The proprietor devoted so much time to me, trying on a vast number of bras until we found the one that fit perfectly. I have always lived with ill fitting bras, but didn't realize how many variations and styles were available. She has the patience and knowledge to guide me through a proper fit, and has the inventory to make it all possible. For those who appreciate expert service and a well-fitting bra. I have never been disappointed with a bra from Gazebo and the service is fast, efficient, and always on-point. You literally do not need to know anything about your own breasts to get a good fitting, here. I am not a shopper. I do not enjoy shopping and I loathe going to the mall. I do, however, really appreciate a good bra. At Gazebo, I can stop in on my way home from work, drop one quarter in the meter, tell the sales associate what I am looking for, and and walk out with one or two quality bras before the meter runs out ( in less than 20 minutes). If only all of my shopping could be so easy! I recently went in looking for maternity bras, after a very disheartening visit to a chain maternity store at the Holyoke Mall where the young lady measured me, then frowned, saying it would be hard for me to find a good fit, and I left wanting to cry after trying on half a dozen unflattering, and uncomfortable bras. At Gazebo, the sales associate found a few very pretty, very comfortable, reasonably-priced, and well-fitting bras for me in what felt like a blink, and I left feeling like a new woman! Thank you so much Gazebo! My three friends and I stopped by Gazebo on a Sunday afternoon not knowing our bra sizes. We were a bit thrown off when they asked for our bra sizes right in the middle of the store but sensing our discomfort we moved toward a more private place in the fitting rooms. Although there were not enough fitting rooms for all of us, they were patient and didn't rush us. One of us just sat on the sofa waiting for our turn. The two store associates were all able to help us get fitted and were super helpful when we didn't know our sizes! We started off with three bras of the size we usually wear and moved up cups and sizes. They gave us plenty of sizes and styles to try on. The two associates were attentive and checked our bra fitting and could tell right away if it wasn't the right size. Bras range from $48-71 regular price. We visited during their Semi-annual bra sale with 25% off all in stock bras. If they do not have your style in stock, you would have to order them and wait for them to be delivered (15% off special orders). It's $4 extra if you want them delivered otherwise you can pick up from store. My friend wasn't able to get hers because they don't normally order from that brand and they were unable to give her an exact date. read more

This place offers full service such as I have never experienced. After I had the kids, I knew I needed to get a proper bra fitting. I tried first at Victoria's Secret. My sister-in-law rightly called the surly young woman with the tape-measure a "bra-Nazi." She seemed to live to humiliate and made sure we all knew her own size, of which she was quite proud. This experience was completely different. I was so touched I nearly cried. The staff brought me bra after bra and gave me good measurements with such delicate and knowledgeable attention that I was completely won over. I turned out to be the same size as the Victoria's Secret Humiliator, which gave my sister-in-law and I no end of fun imaginary conversations with her. I am giving a fitting and buying a bra as a gift to a friend of mine. The prices may be a bit higher, but that is because you are paying for the excellent attention and expertise. Honestly, you will not find better customer service anywhere. Judith, the owner of Gazebo, is absolutely incredible. She fit me for a bra back in December and I am now a customer for life. I went in a few months ago to try to find a corset to wear with a bridesmaid dress and she has made it her mission to find me a corset with the right fit. She didn't have my size, but said she would keep in touch to try to find me the right one. I am a 34H, so I am a hard size to fit. She has researched other brands to special order for me. She has called me twice to ask how I'm doing with my search. Today I received a call from her since she has still continued to search for a corset. It is rare to meet someone so dedicated to her job. I'll be going in on Monday to continue the search. I have no doubt that she will find me a corset/ strapless bra since she is so amazing! I'll write another great review when she does. read more

I suppose they have an okay selection of pretty slinky tops, but wow, WAY OVERPRICED. this is a HORRIBLE place to buy a bra. very small selection of brands/styles and sizes. and almost all their bras were mounted high on the walls or were behind glass counters, so you couldn't find what you were looking for or even simply browse with ease. perhaps you're rying to prevent shoplifting, but if so, do it in a way that doesn't kill the shopping experience. I had a few hours to kill before I needed to leave for my flight, so I stopped by here to see if they had a bra I bought the other week back home that I loved and wanted another. well, they did not have it. the WORST part was easily their prices. they are practically stealing from their customers. some of the same bras i had bought or seen the week before at nordstrom's were at this store for over $10-$15 more than regular price at nordstrom's or macy's. for example, they had a basic iBra for $67, which is absurd seeing as the same exact style is $50 or $53 at other stores. So why do your regular bra/undie shopping here and pay such ridiculous prices when you could just shop online or drive to the holyoke or enfield mall where you won't get ripped off. i get this is northampton/western mass, so maybe they think it's okay to charge a few bucks more, but seriously. i stopped by a small women's clothing stores at Thornes, and guess what? among their small rack of bras, which included the CK perfectly fit, the bras were priced the same or a couple bucks more than what i'd paid back home. Whatever, i guess it's not as bad as that other weird lingerie place on main street that has cheap looking bras for over $70. what a waste of a quarter in the meter to stop by this place (lol, couldn't do that in SF). read more

Obsessed with this place. Have been passing by for years and frankly thought it would be more matronly but was so fed up with spending money on crap bras that I finally went in and got a proper fitting. They have a diverse range of styles and degrees of functionality vs aesthetic, and definitely have things suitable for whatever your tastes are. Have been wearing the wrong size most of my life (you likely have as well) and am floored at how much of a difference it makes to wear the right one. One of the lovely women who work there told me outright what my size was before I even took my jacket off (she was right). I can't imagine spending money on bras anywhere else. The price point for the styles that I prefer to wear (minimal support or shaping) is precisely what it should be and I've yet to find anything that I liked there available for cheaper on line. You get free repairs and alterations for the first year but honestly the quality is impeccable so I'm not anticipating that being necessary even. Considering this place is a full service shop they could really get away with charging more. Have sent several girlfriends in since and the consensus is definitely the same for all of us. If you're never popped in you should do so, you seriously won't regret it. read more

Recently I bought a sports bra at Gazebo which cost $79.00. On that particular shopping expedition I spent close to $400.00 at Gazebo. A few days later I wore the sports bra for the first time after washing it. It seemed to be a little itchy, but I thought I just needed to get used to it. The next morning my chest and back were covered with welts. I could not wear a bra that day because the welts burned so badly. I immediately attributed it to the bra so I went to Gazebo to show them the rash. I was brought into a dressing room with two very excited women, one was the assistant manager and the other a saleswoman. One of them told me this was not a reaction to the bra, but looked like shingles. When I told her I had received a shingles vaccine, she said, "those shots don't always work." The sales manager said, "It's not like our bras are made in China. They are high quality. I showed them the label on the bra said, "Made in China." Neither of them were familiar enough with the product to know that. They both insisted their bras were high quality and nothing like this had ever happened. I left Gazebo's feeling ignorant about my body and that the rash was my fault. I immediately went to see my doctor who ruled out shingles and diagnosed it as a latex allergy which I had never had in my life. My doctor explained a latex allergy can pop up at any time. The official diagnosis was contact dermatitis. He advised me to throw the bra away. The next day I called Gazebo explaining that since I had only worn the bra once and spent $400.00 in the store, would they please exchange it for me. They told me that because they were a small business, they could not afford to exchange the bra. Furthermore, it was not their fault that I had a latex allergy. That is the last time I will give my business to Gazebo. Not only did they lack compassion for this painful reaction to the bra, they embarrassed me in front of other customers by by insisting I had shingles. I had always thought Gazebo was a high quality store, I no longer do. read more
