The point being the associate at 25 Central rushed me out when I could have had time to find my size and make a purchase well before 6pm when they closed that day. I ended up driving to Hadley and buying a shirt at a big chain store- which is what I was trying to avoid! Maybe this is me getting old and grumpy, but I'm frustrated by how places like this don't serve the average working person. Most people work until 5:30, which gives very little time to get in and out of a store. On top of that, I actually did have time to shop and leave before closing, but was pressured to leave. Fun accessories included hair clips, tights, scarfs, jewelry and more. Most of the brands I don't recognize save for Michael Stars. The issue isn't with the product, it's with the customer service. I frequent Thornes and therefore have come into Monella at least a dozen times. With regularity comes a variety of looks, sometimes I look professional and affluent and other times I look like I've been hit by a truck because it's been a long day and it's 90 out. When I look like I can "afford" to shop there, the customer service is odd, but not offensive. I am asked if I need anything and they will start a room for me. However, if I'm a bit disheveled, they will follow me around and inquire as to how many items I have in my hand and I have been followed into the dressing room. This isn't dependent on the saleswoman, it's entirely dependent on how I am dressed. Perhaps looking relatively young and with a large tote doesn't help matters, but I am not accustomed to this treatment. I wonder if based on their location they have had an issue with shoplifting, nonetheless, this shouldn't be my experience. So I recommend people take their business elsewhere. There's not a huge selection anyways.

And even though we only met once before the wedding weekend, The photographers were actually such a fun presence with us on our big day that they felt like friends we had known and invited as guests to our wedding! They had a great way of leading us into amazing shots and poses but still allowing for natural, organic interactions making beautiful candids. Where can you find golden milk! We will be back. Since we were in the Marketplace in Northampton, we discovered the Olive Oil vendor across from the cafe, and decided to do a tasting. We were treated with such hospitality, that what started as a whim, became a purchase. We actually loved the tastings of both the oils and balsamic vinegars, and decided to take advantage of the special so we got a bargain. I opted for the fig balsamic--my fav, and for the tasting, was delighted. It isn't as sweet as the ones I've had before, but it is acceptable. I do think I should try some others. We really enjoyed the shopping, tasting, and European feel of the whole Marketplace environment. It is a treat.

This store is a real trip - you will find one helluva totally random section of cheap crap everywhere. They have a wall full of "Slightly Out of Date" over the counter cold remedies and pain killers, cheap greeting cards, cheap Tee Shirts, cheap baseball caps, cheap school supplies, cheap socks and candy and sunglasses, and more varieties of masking tape than I ever knew existed. We picked up a long sleeve T shirt and some packing tape for a fraction of what we would have paid anywhere else. LOL- totally random stuff indeed !
