Not only was this individual discouraging customers from joining the event but also was very negative about the product and this was while he was on the clock. His hygiene was also deplorable. I must admit I was skeptical about attending this event but after that experience I don't see how anyone would want to attend future events here. I will not be recommending this store to friends and I will most certainly not be returning ever again. I had only heard stories about these types of people online but seeing it in person really takes me out of it and never want to get into Magic the Gathering. I'll be trying other places that hopefully have a better staff.

I usually come in to browse their Pokémon singles, and I really like how organized their bulk cards are. I don't know much about Pokémon myself, but they were patient and helped us find exactly what my son was looking for. They even gave him a few extra cards, which made his day. I will warn you now don't buy their squishmallow or pokemon - its very very overpriced which I know what the market is going for but I recently saw a kid a big one for 90$. The same goes for Pokemon yet so many people buy from here as they're fully stocked. Just now its highly marked up eg: ETBs are like 90 and up. I come here for the comics because they have a wall of new ones and their hugeee back issue inventory. I usually always walk out of there with at least 25 bucks and easily more of comics trying to complete older sets. If you shop here a lot I recommend getting their membership it's a one time payment and you easily make your money back if you shop often. Lots of candle, soap, and lotion options! Theres so many random things to name but all cute. To note, there is specifically a cute little pet section and baby section in the back! There's also some La Mesa merch that I promised myself I would buy if my dream of owning a house in La Mesa ever comes true!
