Great selection. Great value of items and good service. I only gave this four stars because I love the Brookfield location.

Not my full time job but I do love going into odd and ends stores to find a specific item. It's the thrill of the find that I chase for. So every time my husband and I are vacationing across the country, we spend a little bit of that time to find vintage shops like this one to find what is needed for his collection or others. I've been in search for a 2017 Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, made by Bandai, and is part of their "Build a Zord" collection, for about 5 years now. For whatever reason, my husband missed the opportunity to purchase this item when it came out. Time passed and when we finally located that item, the scalpers were selling them for an arm, a leg, and your first born child. I found the exact item on eBay from Make Cents and purchased it as an early Christmas gift for my husband. At a very fair price. I wanted him to go there, stumble across it, then surprise him that I had already purchased it. Plans did not work as the day before we were going on a journey to the establishment, he was whining that I was working on procuring items for everyone but not for his most sought-out item. So I broke the news to him. Make Cents is such a fun store. It's what I would imagine when I think of the best place where all my childhood toys are. Video games, TMNT, Barbie, Rainbow Brite, to wrestling figures, loved and displayed perfectly. The shop is small but so clean. There's also a glass display of all pastel pink items and I can tell you, I wanted each and every item. So nostalgic! The people there take pride in their products and they are aware of the magic this place has. The person who sold the item to us was so kind. He allowed us take our time to look at everything in the shop and was available to answer any questions, even if the shop was closing in 15 minutes. This establishment is such a gem and a must-see for all walks of life.

What a find! I didn't quite know what I was getting into but I knew what I was looking for…read more Makes Cents is a collection of everything vintage from toys to video games and collectibles. The small store in a nondescript strip mall is a must see for collectors. Almost all of the items are in a case or behind the counter and are clearly marked with a price. This is the kind of place to get a gift for yourself or that person who appreciates the effort of finding that unique item you won't be able to find elsewhere. There's a lot to see in this small but well organized space. I look forward to returning and making sure that I didn't miss a thing.

Cinnamon rolls, pizza were sold out.(1pm) I wanted to pay cash, but noticed after ordering upon the kiosk that bringing the receipt to the counter to pay with cash wasn't an option so I used my card. It'd be really nice is there was a tray concept by the front end of the stores eating area, even tho it's a short distance. It's a lot to carry 5 hot dogs in two hands, with drinks and chips, and that's if you even have both hands available. I noticed that the dining area was lacking attention. So I have some suggestions * have a self serve wipe bucket or spray+wipes accessible for guests to take wipe down table incase employee isn't available. * It'd be nice if the hotdog wrapper were a bit larger so that it's could actually be wrapped so that there's no worry about condiments slipping out of the sides onto clothes. Froyo, and cookies are always promising.

Another thing I like is that there's usually someone in each department that you can ask for help. I think they have a nice selection of most of the basic items. I haven't bought any furniture, but the housewares I have bought for kitchen and bath are good quality and a good value.

I also have spent more than I care to tally. It's an amazingly large store that houses more than just comics. Figures, manga, graphic novels, etc. the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and for the most part patient with all my questions. I unfortunately enjoy indie print comics that are not a big enough draw to stock. So, I'm a pest lol

Online showed they might have some in stock, so I called first. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone was really nice and answered my questions, which made me feel confident enough to stop by in person. When I walked in, though, the in-store experience felt a bit different and on the emptier side. The two employees at the front didn't seem very welcoming and gave off a slightly annoyed vibe. When I asked about the Pokémon cards, they seemed confused about what I was referring to until I mentioned I had called earlier and spoken to someone. They checked with their coworker, who clarified which ones he had told me about. I asked to see the packs they had behind the counter, and the interaction still felt a little tense. That said, I was able to grab the two packs, which ended up being the perfect gift for my cousin, so mission accomplished. Overall, they had what I needed, and I appreciate that the phone service was helpful. I'd probably come back if I really needed something specific, and I'm curious to explore more of what they carry. Just hoping for a warmer in-store customer service experience next time.
