Online showed they might have some in stock, so I called first. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone was really nice and answered my questions, which made me feel confident enough to stop by in person. When I walked in, though, the in-store experience felt a bit different and on the emptier side. The two employees at the front didn't seem very welcoming and gave off a slightly annoyed vibe. When I asked about the Pokémon cards, they seemed confused about what I was referring to until I mentioned I had called earlier and spoken to someone. They checked with their coworker, who clarified which ones he had told me about. I asked to see the packs they had behind the counter, and the interaction still felt a little tense. That said, I was able to grab the two packs, which ended up being the perfect gift for my cousin, so mission accomplished. Overall, they had what I needed, and I appreciate that the phone service was helpful. I'd probably come back if I really needed something specific, and I'm curious to explore more of what they carry. Just hoping for a warmer in-store customer service experience next time.

As a somewhat new collector, this place is amazing! They truly do have almost everything (besides…read moreTransformers, go to Albella for that.) including a surplus of Gundam. They have shelves upon shelves of comics, model kits, etc--I greatly recommend spending some time looking here. The cashier was extremely helpful, showing me around after I asked for some help. Obviously, the main selling point for most people--the prices are great. A figure I would've spent $40+ on Amazon for cost a mere $27.99, as most of their products are retail OR slightly above, by a very slim margin. Additionally, for those who leave low-star reviews; just because your local comic store participates in a day to give FREE product doesn't mean every business has to. You are not entitled to anything of Free Comic Day, it's just that some people offer it. Also, the cat? Why would you pet a sleeping cat? That's pure, unfiltered ignorance--let the poor thing sleep. Also, who goes to a comic store for Anime paraphernalia? What I'm trying to say is, please, don't drop a trip over here because of strange opinions, as the place is definitely worth the trip.

The comics I bought were in mint condition and some of them were total steals! I was shocked to get a comic worth almost $50 for just $15. This was the most organised comic book store I've ever been to and I really appreciated the cozy atmosphere. I also loved that they had a nice comfy couch for my parents to relax on while I was getting my comics. Would totally recommend this spot if you're hunting for specific comics!!

I went in twice while visiting family in Milwaukee, and both times walked out of Collector's Edge with unexpected surprises and long sought-after additions to my collection. I was especially happy that, while they certainly carry plenty of the standard superhero comics from Marvel and DC, there's also an excellent selection of the independent titles I tend to prefer. And perhaps my favorite thing - to find the good stuff, you should be willing to hunt a bit. While I'm sure the staff would be only too happy to help point you in the direction of something you're looking for, if you have the time to explore for yourself Collector's Edge will reveal its many treasures to you. So while Zanadu, my old favorite place to shop for comics in Seattle, closed its doors years ago, it's good to know that good old-fashioned comic shops like Collector's Edge keep their tradition going.

I stop in every week to pick up my comic books and I'm always greeted with a smile and a hello from the owners. I've never found a better store to get my geek on.

My boyfriend has been a regular at the store for years, and I went with him to pick up his pull list this past weekend. There were people chatting at the counter when we came in, so Carla didn't see that I was with anyone when I entered the store. She was sure to ask me if I needed help with anything, which is a first in the slew of comic and game shops I've been to recently. The shop is set up with different rooms devoted to your interest, with comics in one wing and games in another, and more general books and collectibles merchandise in the main room where you enter. If you head to the back, you'll find space for game playing and where Don is organizing his back stock of comics. The shop on the whole is bright and colorful, and I felt totally welcome to browse. Don and Carla had a nice word for everyone who came in the store, and it was pretty clear that they have a small army of loyal customers. The outside of the store isn't much to look at - it's situated in an industrial-looking strip mall - but don't let that deter you from the checking out their cozy shop. Even if you're not a full-on geek, there are still things for you here - several of their games are great for a game night with friends.
