This request was AFTER my other plumber of several yrs did not come out to do the work on Friday or Sat. The Owner of Fair Price Plumbing TX named Dennis was the 1st business to reply to my request. He quoted a fair price (lower than my other plumber) AND was available the same day. What a Blessing!!!! I booked Dennis and he arrived 10 mins early, dressed professionally in uniform, very cordial and he even put shoe covers on over his work boots to protect my floors. He went straight to work and was done in no time flat. He took a picture of the old wax ring to show me where the awful smell was "probably" coming from. My toilet did not sit flush to the floor so Dennis added skims to shore it up so it was stable and secure. Who knew!?! WOW. We had to call them out 2 weeks after the initial service was completed. Today I called another plumber because the sink was still leaking. The same guy (short, skinny, white guy with tattoos and big hole ear piercings) came out and showed us pictures of the job that he did last year and tried to argue me down about what happened to the screws that are somehow missing. He was extremely combative, argumentative and looked demented. He kept talking about the pictures from last year and asking me what happened to the screws, so I pulled out my phone to record him and he left! Be ware! The job today was two simple things: to remove a stuck hose from an outdoor faucet, and then to adjust the temperature of the hot water in my shower. I described the job when I was making the appointment and the appointment maker agreed that it sounded like a simple job. It could easily have been done by one person, but two people showed up. It took them less than a half hour to unscrew the hose from the faucet in the backyard and to adjust the temperature in the shower. No replacement parts were required. The total charge was $315.
