We found that we had a leak in our water heater on a Saturday and were told that it could let go at any time. We were not able to go up into the attic due to our age to see for ourselves how bad it was. Called Alliance and explained the situation. Johnny explained what we could find and how the estimate could change. I felt confident in his expertise. I work for C. Johnnie on the Spot. Our water line busted over the weekend so when we came in on Monday morning there was water everywhere. I reached out to both Alliance Plumbing and Islandman Plumbing because the plumber we usually use was unavailable. (we are required to get 2 quotes when using a new company) I spoke with Jody over the phone and she was great. She was very friendly and assured me that someone would be able to make it out that same afternoon. You could actually hear the smile through her voice, just very pleasant to speak with over all. Nick Hartnett was the plumber they sent out to our business. He was also very friendly and helpful. Not to mention he saved us thousands of dollars. We had gotten a quote from the other company earlier that morning and they quoted us $3000 more than what we actually ended paying with Alliance plumbing (they didn't properly access the busted water line and was trying to charge for repairs that we didn't need.) Nick actually brought out a shovel and dug up the water line to find the route of the problem (the other company did not). He gave us and accurate and reasonable quote for the repairs, which to us, showed the company's integrity. Nick made us feel like a valued customer and not just like a commercial business that they could make more money off of. Recently, I had a water leak from the main line going into my house. The yard was filling up with water and I needed it repaired ASAP to prevent a super high water bill. We were a weekend 'emergency' call and, as a result, a journeyman plumber came to help us solve our problem. It was expensive as all get-out ... But I'm not complaining. (He was clutch.) As I've done many times before, I used Yelp to call for bids/responses. Alliance was not only one of the first to respond, but was the *only* plumbing company that actually read my request: "Help! I thought I could install a new shower panel, but I was wrong!" Believe it or not, several companies auto-responded that they could "...take care of my needs on Monday..." Why bother -- other than to confirm that you only work 40 hours a week? The thing is, most of us understand basic plumbing. But the vast majority of us are lost when it comes to anything beyond adding a splitter on a water hose bib. These guys know their business. And they respond very quickly. I have a house in Galveston that needed some plumbing work. Actually it turned out to be quite extensive and required a professional. Jesse from alliance came to help out. He was very professional and timely. Also this guy did not give up! Jesse worked on my project until very late in the evening. I was extremely impressed by his commitment to resolving my plumbing issue and providing quality work. This guy has a strong work ethic and it was apparent within the first few minutes. He had to return the next day to complete some of the work but he called ahead and he showed up on time. I think that's a pretty big deal in Galveston because most plumbing services I have used here operate on" island time" and I found that to mean they may or may not show up at all or they may demand payment upfront and not come back or they may even be intoxicate on the job. However,Alliance was prompt, professional and completely reliable. I trust this company and I will use them again. I will share that they are not cheap, In fact I would say they may be on the highest end of cost per hour. However, my job was completed to my complete satisfaction and I didn't have to deal with island timers. This may not have been a discount job, however, you get what you pay for and I feel I got a very good value here. Also, my place was left in pristine condition when Jesse left my house and again this work was extensive. Our bathtub drain was leaking. Nick came out and identified it as a bad gasket, but when he removed the bad gasket to put in a new one, his expertise led him to realize I had a much bigger problem. Alliance Plumbing just left my house after installing a new Rheem water heater. It's a 40 gallon heater has better insulation it's wider it's taller and it's has a 10 year warranty on it. The two plumbers that were here did a great job very clean well organized and did the job quicker than I thought they would have to take. I did a lot of research on water heaters prior to having alliance give a estimation to me and Rheem water heaters kept coming up as a top quality American made water heater. So I was more than happy to have them install a Rheem heater. I bought this house in January 2011 and alliance is the only plumbing company I've used since then. Great service outstanding value, very friendly and knowledgeable plumbers. I will never use any other company for my plumbing needs as long as I own this house. They had our water heater replaced which was in the attic and they kicked the condensation pan while they were taking the old water heater out and they left without properly placing it back and I had a leak that required replacing sheet rock and painting. Kelly the manager assured me that someone would come to fix it but the guy kept rescheduling so I called Kelly and he said he would try and fix the issue once again no response.
