I bought the replacement faucet. For comparison, Space City plumbing charged me $400 for the exact same services. Both companies took about 2 hours to complete the job. On another job they charged me $595 to replace the flange (I had already removed the toilet) and put the toilet back on. The job took about 1.7 hours. I didn't get a bid from another compny for this job, but $350 an hour seems really high. Hopefully I don't have any problems with the plumbing on either job, but if I do, I'll find another company to do it.

The trim handle wasn't damaged. But the old cartridge was for sure damaged with the stem sticking out. Sure, the cartridge would need to be replaced anyways, but taking it out in the first place while not familiar with the fixture could damage the valve itself which could be a much worse problem.

The same guy (short, skinny, white guy with tattoos and big hole ear piercings) came out and showed us pictures of the job that he did last year and tried to argue me down about what happened to the screws that are somehow missing. He was extremely combative, argumentative and looked demented. He kept talking about the pictures from last year and asking me what happened to the screws, so I pulled out my phone to record him and he left! Be ware! One thing I especially appreciated was that he put on boot covers before coming inside.
