You can walk up from the resort through the pines or catch a short Land Rover ride, and by the time you arrive at what looks like a charming mountain cabin tucked into the trees, the unwinding has already started without you realizing it. Do not let the size fool you. The space is intimate but thoughtfully designed, with warm areas inside and out that invite you to slow down before your treatment even begins. You are handed tea and a complimentary foot soak while you wait, which is exactly the right way to ease someone into what comes next. We both booked massages, at separate times since couples appointments were not available on our visit, a scheduling reality rather than a limitation of the space and worth calling in advance to plan around. Both experiences were handled by different practitioners and both delivered. What stood out most was what did not happen: no unnecessary chit chat, no small talk filling the silence. Each therapist gathered the information they needed upfront to tailor the session and then simply let us rest. The products, the setting, the practitioners, and the unhurried pace all speak the same language. This is a spa that understands what people actually come for. Five stars. Call ahead, block as much time as you can, and let the pines do the rest.

Some of the therapists are trained to treat injuries and also work with chiropractors in the area and they know what they're doing. You won't find a steam room or sauna room here but if you're staying at the resort or in one of the cabin properties about, you'll have access to hot springs and saunas anyway.

The rooftop pool and hot tub were definitely the highlight! The outdoor area was beautiful, the…read morelocker rooms were clean and nice, and I appreciated that the spa service included pool access for the day. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with my $100 lash lift and tint. It's already overpriced compared to other lash lifts I've had that turned out beautifully, but this one didn't work at all. I even called afterward to ask how long I needed to wait before getting another lift, and they didn't offer any remedy or even a partial refund. For the price, I expected much better. I'd recommend enjoying the pool and sticking with a simpler service like a foot bath rather than spending money on a treatment where the results depend heavily on the technician's skill.

On top of that the facilities themselves are run down and underwhelming. The views from the pool and hot tub are spectacular and it's very serine but that was really the only redeeming factor. Overall I wish we would have skipped it as it was quite the drive to get to from downtown SLC and gone to a better maintained establishment

Over the past couple months I had two separate alarming experiences with Elements Massage, one here…read moreat Sandy, and one in Cottonwood Heights. Here I will describe only the experience I had with Sandy location. I was greeted by a young male therapist whose name I can't remember. I will edit this to add his name when I find that out because I feel the need to warn you not to go to him, especially if you are a woman. I requested a deep tissue massage and for the first 20 minutes my therapist used only one hand, extremely light pressure, and barely moved at all. He was touching my body lightly with one hand and I could hear him shuffling his other hand doing something else. It sounded like he was shaking his hand around or something and it was really disconcerting. I felt confused and unsafe with him. I asked him if he was ok and the shuffling sound immediately stopped. I asked him to increase pressure and he went from a level one pressure to a level beyond what I would consider deep tissue. It was painful in a way that felt it was going against the grain of my muscles as if he were not trained in how to open up the muscles through deep tissue, instead making my body tense up against his movements. Although I was in pain I could see that he was not going to be able to find a balanced approach so I decided I would rather endure the extreme pressure rather than hardly any pressure at all. So I encouraged him by saying "this feels better". Then he said "I'm enjoying myself too". I felt horrified when he said he was enjoying himself and I froze, not knowing what to say or do since I have PTSD due to a history of being sexually assaulted. All of this being said, I am very concerned with the two people Elements has hired who have mistreated me. Whoever this male therapist was who made this sexual comment to me needs to be reprimanded and I don't think he should be allowed to practice.
