All well-seasoned Utahns know about the notorious Cliff Spa. Located on the 9th floor of Snowbird's Cliff Resort, it offers pristine mountain views, suitable for a relaxing getaway year round. Can't afford a service? No problem, you can purchase a day pass that allows access to their rooftop pool and hot tub, locker rooms with saunas, and a rejuvenating steam room. It's the perfect escape from the city either solo or with a companion. The staff is smiley and helpful, yet respectful of the zen-nature of the space and not overbearing. They offer you robes and sandals to make your experience top notch, and the facility as a whole is very clean. We wandered downstairs in our robes to the Atrium to get hot chocolate, and got to explore other parts of the hotel at our leisure. I've gotten a massage here before and it was amazing, but I will warn that their services are a bit pricey.

My friends and I recently visited Park City for a bachelorette trip and booked day passes/massages here. this property is stunning and the customer service was good but overall the spa experience was very underwhelming. the spa is located inside the cliff lodge which is a ski resort. the actual spa is small, the ceilings are low so it feels very stuffy inside, and overall the amenities did not live up to the hype but the views were iconic.

Beautiful Location, Underwhelming Spa Experience The Cliff Spa is in an absolutely stunning location with unmatched views of the surrounding mountains. The scenery alone makes it a relaxing place to visit, but unfortunately, the spa itself was underwhelming, especially if you're used to more luxurious, full-service spas. Coming from Reno, where we have multi-story spas like those at the Peppermill and Atlantis, I expected more in terms of amenities, treatment options, and overall experience. I am very biased to the spas at home so I was trying to not have high expectations but I was still disappointed. This spa is very minimal--there are no food or drink options aside from tea, and if you want anything else, you have to leave the spa to get it. When you're used to having food and beverages delivered poolside, this feels like a major letdown. The highlight of the spa is the gorgeous heated rooftop pool and the single hot tub, both of which offer breathtaking views. On their website they offer heated decks and gas-fed fire pits but those were turned off and not working during the time of our visit. Beyond that, the amenities are quite limited. There is one coed steam room and a sauna in the individual locker rooms, but that's about it. While they do offer a long list of massages and facials, be prepared to pay a premium price. A couples massage was $200 per person before gratuity, which is steep. That being said, the massage itself was phenomenal--easily a 12/10 experience. The massage is what did it for me and my husband. Tai, my massage therapist, did an incredible job working out my muscle tension, which was the one truly redeeming part of the visit. One unexpected disappointment was the spa robe. Normally, you'd expect a plush, cozy, high-quality robe at a luxury spa, but this one was stiff, small, and a bit itchy--definitely not what you want when you're trying to relax. Beyond that, the entire atmosphere just felt lacking. The décor was very basic, and there weren't many thoughtful details that make a spa experience feel special. It was missing that sense of luxury and ambiance that you expect when visiting a high-end spa. There is no where to lounge except outside and it was too cold to lay in the lounge chairs. They do offer day passes for the spa: $55 for Monday- Thursday, $75 for Friday-Sunday, and $37 for hotel guests. This is the way to go if you want to swim and relax in the hot tub. Overall, while the setting is beautiful and the massage was excellent, the lack of amenities, high prices, and little details (like the uncomfortable robe) make it hard to justify a return trip. If you're looking for a spa with a full luxury experience, this isn't the place.

Amazing and relaxing time! Many reviews we read complained about the location being outdated however with a prime location with Mountain views in the winter it was more charming in my opinion. We went early, started off with an amazing couple massage. Marsha was great at his craft and was able to set the tone for the rest of the day. Relaxed in the rooftop pool/jacuzzi, since we went early didn't really experience the crowds as people mentioned. My only complaint was I wish they offered snacks or food for purchase as you are relaxing and enjoying the services it does build up an appetite

Reasons to go: Can you beat a 360° view of the best peaks in Little Cottonwood Canyon? Has there ever been a better mountain view from a pool? Great for bringing out of town guests. Relatively reasonable day passes. Yoga /spin classes available. Reasons to skip: Feels like a fraternity now. Updates to the spa change rooms were skipped in the renovation. Finishes are dated - at least 20+ years old. Linens and amenities (robes, towels) are very basic. No food/snacks available for purchase at the spa. You must leave the spa for the resort restaurants, and return within 2 hours. It appears that most people come for day use, which leads to overcrowding. The $25 day passes of yesterday to the Cliff Spa were a locals secret, especially in the off season when the roof top pool/spa was essentially empty. Now, there is no off season in the mountains, and day passes are $50, and the spa/pool is crowded no matter the season. The rooftop area underwent renovations a couple of years ago but one can hardly tell. The tiles are wonky and move under foot. Perhaps this accommodates all the snow that has to have somewhere to melt but it feels haphazard. At the time of making the reservation there was a stern warning about absolutely no food or drink (anymore) in the outdoor pool/hot tub area, which is strange since there are so many picnic tables available. We complied only to find that literally no one adhered to this new rule and no one was enforcing it. Bring all the snacks and drinks you wish for your pool day.

The cliff spa was truly a dream!! The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are amazing - we got there early for our 8:45 massage and hung there. The spa opens at 6 so you can get there early (and I'd suggest getting there early). We hung out in the jacuzzi and the pool for about a while and then went to the sauna in our locker rooms. Vanessa did a my massage and she was so great - I would absolutely ask for her next time I get a massage there. She was friendly and did such a good job on my message! After our massage we went to the steam room and hung out for a little bit before going back to the jacuzzi. Sooo worth it!

Excellent treatments with Hannah and Melanie. Two hours of serious pampering and nurturing my body! The combo package of scrub/wrap with oil scalp massage followed with an exceptional massage was a highlight of my week. After two days of skiing this was exactly what I needed.

Bathing suit got bleached from the pool and hot tub

Had a great experience at the Cliff Spa. It was super relaxing to enjoy the pool and hot tub on a cold day after a booked massage. The only downside (reason for the reduction of stars) was the pool and/or hot tub bleached my new bathing suit I rinsed the suit out in the showers with soap immediately after going in the water but tragically it ruined the suit. Recommend visiting but be sure not to wear anything you want to keep after visiting.

If you are looking for the complete spa experience, might I suggest taking your business up the road and heading to the Stillwell Spa at the Snow Pine Lodge instead? Upon arrival, the Cliff Lodge itself is beautiful, and so are the views of the mountains. However, I was incredibly underwhelmed with the amenities provided. Including the refreshment station, which was dirty, the "relaxation room", the lack of showers within the women's locker room, and the one dust covered hairdryer provided. I have to say that the rooftop access was absolutely beautiful. That would be the reason to return but I would definitely opt for the $50 day pass and instead of spending nearly $200 on a spa service that was mediocre at best. Because there are so many day passes available, I did find that the spot was pretty crowded and it was not a very relaxing environment in my opinion. The hot tub was overcrowded and full of people that did not understand spa etiquette. Not everyone wants to hear about your sexual encounters. I am going to give the Cliff Spa the benefit of the doubt and say that the women's locker room appearance, and functionality is the way that it is because of the ongoing remodel. However, it would have been nice to be offered a discount seeing that some of the amenities were not even available. All in all an overpriced, underwhelming experience.

Fresh robes and variety of tea options! Loved that they had a sauna, steam room, and pool. They allowed me to stay as long as I wanted!

My partner and I were able to enjoy some time in the grotto-a private indoor hot tub. I appreciated the bowl of ice and wash cloths that provided a quick cool-down after being in the hot water for a while. We also took advantage of the oxygen bar and the compression boots for our legs. It was so relaxing that we fell asleep in the chairs! The locker room is almost as inviting as the rest of the space-you'll find a sauna and steam room as well as a fully stocked counter with toiletries to make your visit even more comfortable. There's a darling boutique out front where you can purchase things to take home and continue your relaxation after you leave. They can recommend specific products if you love something from your treatment. I'm still feeling the relaxation a couple days later and I am looking forward to returning in the future.

When I spoke to Lauren that morning, she told me that there was no grotto appt on the books which was odd because the person I made the appt with specifically told me to have my mom and sister show up 45 mins before their spa appts to make it to their grotto appt. Fast forward to the actual appts that I made for my mom and sister in honor of Mother's Day & birthday, it was a disappointment. Firstly, they were told they had to share lockers because they ran out and only two toilets to use (you need to reconsider how you're doing booking if you can meet the supply and demands of the customers). The bathrooms/showers were not cleaned (ie hair on the shower walls, slimy on the walls, and shower was backing up whilst using). My mother's lady she had, did not clean her feet off after the exfoliation which caused my mom to become slippery (safety concern= lawsuit waiting to happen). My sisters lady during her massage was complaining of having arthritis and being in pain which in turn made my sister not get the full massage experience. Needless to say, a very disappointing and frustrating experience and a waste of money.
