I was unfamiliar with Bowen Therapeutic Bodywork but my boyfriend got me a gift certificate for a 90 minute massage with them so I made an appointment! They have an easy booking process on their website but are booked solid (for good reason!) about two weeks out so you'll want to be prepared to have to wait a week or two for your appointment. The therapist who worked on me was Jen, and she was excellent. Jen had a calm and relaxed energy about her and i felt very comfortable the entire time. Her methods were the perfect combination of gentle and strong and I left feeling so much better than when i arrived. I'll be back, and will definitely be requesting Jen! As others have stated, the location isn't glamourous but was easy to find. I loved the atmosphere once i got inside!

Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with my $100 lash lift and tint. It's already overpriced compared to other lash lifts I've had that turned out beautifully, but this one didn't work at all. I even called afterward to ask how long I needed to wait before getting another lift, and they didn't offer any remedy or even a partial refund. For the price, I expected much better. I'd recommend enjoying the pool and sticking with a simpler service like a foot bath rather than spending money on a treatment where the results depend heavily on the technician's skill.

On top of that the facilities themselves are run down and underwhelming. The views from the pool and hot tub are spectacular and it's very serine but that was really the only redeeming factor. Then there was a line about 10 ladies long just to be able to shower. Every single shower stall was out of shampoo or body wash or something and the ladies locker room was poorly stocked. Overall I wish we would have skipped it as it was quite the drive to get to from downtown SLC and gone to a better maintained establishment

The massage was great. The way we were treated afterward was unacceptable…read more My wife and I paid for a couples massage. The facility was clean, comfortable, and relaxing, and both technicians did a very good job. We received additional attention to specific areas my wife's feet and my head and the full-body massages were thorough and enjoyable. We walked out of the treatment room feeling refreshed and completely satisfied with the service. Unfortunately, that positive experience changed at the front counter. We chose to leave a $55 tip for our technicians. Instead of thanking us and allowing us to leave, the person at the counter counted the tip in front of us, told us it was not enough, and pressured us to give more money. That was inappropriate and extremely uncomfortable. A tip is a gratuity and it is voluntary. Customers should not be pressured, embarrassed, or made to feel inferior because management believes the tip should be higher. If the business believes its technicians deserve greater compensation, that should be addressed through its pricing and compensation practices, not by confronting customers after they have already paid for their service. My wife and I are accustomed to tipping, and we tip according to the service we receive. We were not refusing to tip, however we divided 20% for each technician based on the amount we spent on the massage, and forcibly we added an additional $10. To have someone count our money and then tell us that our gratuity wasn't enough was intrusive, unprofessional, and unnecessary. What is especially disappointing is that the technicians themselves did a great job. This review is not a criticism of their work. It is about the way the gratuity situation was handled by the person at the counter perceivably the owner. After spending money on what was supposed to be a relaxing couples experience, the last thing a customer should encounter is pressure and guilt over how much additional money they choose to leave. Great massage. Very disappointing and unprofessional ending. Management should seriously reconsider how they approach customers regarding gratuities. We decided we would never return to this establishment ever.

The bandeau style bra is made from what I can only describe as "open-house shoe covers" material and was a little scratchy so I preferred to keep on my quick dry skivvies rather than get mixed up with the underwear too. I would probably just bring a swimsuit next time. There are tea and sodas available to drink while you wait. I liked that that infrared sauna is actually in the treatment room, so you can go straight from it to the table. Overall, a nice place to warm up and get a facial. To the owner, I would just request slightly longer blankets, I run cold constantly and having my bare feet out and without a heated table took some getting used to.

You can walk up from the resort through the pines or catch a short Land Rover ride, and by the time you arrive at what looks like a charming mountain cabin tucked into the trees, the unwinding has already started without you realizing it. Do not let the size fool you. The space is intimate but thoughtfully designed, with warm areas inside and out that invite you to slow down before your treatment even begins. You are handed tea and a complimentary foot soak while you wait, which is exactly the right way to ease someone into what comes next. We both booked massages, at separate times since couples appointments were not available on our visit, a scheduling reality rather than a limitation of the space and worth calling in advance to plan around. Both experiences were handled by different practitioners and both delivered. What stood out most was what did not happen: no unnecessary chit chat, no small talk filling the silence. Each therapist gathered the information they needed upfront to tailor the session and then simply let us rest. The products, the setting, the practitioners, and the unhurried pace all speak the same language. This is a spa that understands what people actually come for. Five stars. Call ahead, block as much time as you can, and let the pines do the rest.
