I've been here a few times now and have had great experiences every time! Most recently, I had Hannah as my massage therapistz With me being pregnant; I have to have a special pillow layout and everything; she made sure I was comfortable and applied the right pressure at different points. She was great! Their pricing is great, especially if you have a Groupon ;) and the massage therapists are awesome. Make sure to check-in because you can get a free essential oil add on during your massage! Worth $5!

I bought a Groupon for a one hour facial + one hour infrared sauna session a couple months ago, and I called, hoping to book within the week. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. I didn't get a response for four days, so I called again the following week. They didn't have any openings that week but booked me for the following. I normally never really reschedule, but I had a work schedule conflict and also got sick another week. Both times I called, no one answered the phone despite it being during business hours. Some days, I would call every hour to see if someone would pick up, thinking they're just bad at checking voicemails regularly. This was not the case either -- I have never encountered a spa that doesn't have someone pick up throughout their whole work day. Jennifer was usually the person to pick up. She is friendly and rescheduled me when I needed to, but you never know if or when you are going to get a hold of someone. There were times where we'd speak then she'd call me back following up on a voicemail, not having any idea we had already spoken within the day. I was finally supposed to come in today (I confirmed via text yesterday morning), but then I received a voicemail from the spa yesterday at 5pm, less than 24 hours before my 3pm appt today. She didn't leave her name (it wasn't Jennifer), but she said that the facial esthetician, Susan, was going to be out. Fine I guess, but then she says that they went ahead and cancelled the appt. I'm thinking, why didn't you just offer to reschedule me?? Then she says that I should just contact Groupon to get a refund and then closes with saying that the spa may be closing (permanently). They didn't ask for a call back, so I didn't. I contacted Groupon yesterday but so far have only been able to get a credit, not a refund. I'm super bummed because I can't really find any other good places on Groupon to get a facial that are within a reasonable distance. Surprisingly I received a text from the spa this morning (pictured) asking if I wanted to come in earlier for my scheduled facial.... uh, what?? I wasn't sure if it was another automated text like they've sent before, so I asked, to which they said no. I told them about the voicemail I had received the day before, and they said the person who left the voicemail must have been mistaken. They didn't offer any sort of discount despite the hassle and contradicting communication, so I declined coming in at all. I really want a facial, but it doesn't seem like they have their sh*t together. Sloppy service. Disappointed. I guess I'll take it as a sign I should stay away from this place.

Oh come on...you know you want to know how this spa is, right? I go here often and enjoy it very much. All of the massages I have received have been great. The personnel working here are wonderful and knowledgeable. The couple's massage is great too. You gotta try them all. Wanna get a laugh? When they ask you what type of massage you want, just say, "Any chance I could just have a back scratch?"

Be careful of signing any contract due to the other locations closing the doors after charging their clients accounts.

They have been really nice and explain everything you need to know about the sauna system and light treatments. This time around they also added a back rest in the saunas which is really nice to lay against. Their iPhone adapter doesn't work on all phones so I either just listen to chill music right on my phone or the radio they have setup. I love that they have cold water and cups for you setup in the rooms. They also provide additional towels and clean wipes for after. The best part is the cold towel when you finish. It's so refreshing! You can lock your room and there's plenty of space for your belongings. Each session is approximately 45 minutes for the sauna.

You get a cold compress to enjoy in the sauna, the sauna starts at 140 but you can adjust up to 170! I stayed at 140 and it was perfect, like a warm blanket. The cold plunge was...a challenge haha I did two sessions of it the first session I only went up to my knees and the next I was able to kneel down into it but man it was cold BUT I loved it. It felt so refreshing and I really felt like I was energized after. They do offer a vitamin c infused shower which to me is a bit of a buzz wordy thing I don't believe that the Vitamin C can really be absorbed that way but hey it is in there so who knows. This was a great experience and I actually ended up signing up for a membership. I like how i feel after doing a session! My only complaint with this place is they don't provide water during your experience you'd have to purchase it and at their price point I don't think it would be too much to expect water to be included. Overall if you've been interested in trying heat/cold exposure this is a great place to give it a shot!

OG Review: The gym was nice, but the billing practices are predatory. Expect hidden fees upon sign up, and expect more hidden fees upon cancelation (plus a difficult cancelation process.) Make sure to get email verification from VASA that you canceled. Honestly thought the gym was nice, but the billing put a bad taste in my mouth. I probably won't be back. I'd be more likely to come back if they would just be straightforward about billing. In fact, I'd probably be willing to pay more per month if I didn't have to worry about hidden fees. I'll probably go to the local rec center instead. Edit 1: Vasa replied to my review with the following (rebuttal below): "Hi Dallin! Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, we are always looking for ways we can improve. We are sorry that your experience in our club wasn't the best and there was a miscommunication regarding our membership dues and fees. You can view all of our fees here: https://support.vasafitness.com/article?id=230379428&category=Membership§ionTitle=General%20Membership" You're welcome for the feedback, and thanks for the link to the membership dues and fees. It doesn't change the taste in my mouth. You sent me the link AFTER you'd already taken more of my money than I was initially led to believe you would. Here's the deal: it's not that information about your fees isn't accessible before sign-up. It is accessible. The problem is that I would have had to read the fine print to know about it. Reflect on yourself: doesn't that feel like a scam? Would you want to do business with a company whose contract you have to thoroughly read just to make sure that you're not getting duped? Don't get me wrong, it's smart to read contracts that you sign. It's just that high-trust organizations don't hide their fees in contracts that they know their customers won't read. You know that most people won't read the contract, and you also know that most people who sign the contract won't be aware of cancelation fees, 30 day cancelation notice requirements, rate guarantee fees, or other fees beyond the monthly payment. Yet, you charge people those fees anyway. That's what makes you a low-trust organization. To the VASA employee who is responding to my review, I know you're not the one who makes these contractual policies. It's not your fault. But if you have any say in the matter, maybe you should bring it up. It could be a great marketing strategy to advertise VASA as the only gym chain in the US with no hidden fees. VASA could become the most trustworthy gym in the US. If nothing else, it would be a more honest form of business. Best wishes, and good luck. Maybe I'll see you when the policies change. Dallin
