Fried Fish
Ted K.

Brian's Landing landed from Green Lakes to Jamesville, which is a good thing for Jamesville. There is a parking lot in back. They make a great espresso martini. Had the fried fish which was panko crusted and delicious. Had lunch here on a Saturday where you order off their dinner menu

Toxic Ex-Presso Martini

We went for dinner on Valentine's Day and had such an amazing experience! We made reservations ahead of time and were seated right away -- no wait at all. The restaurant was beautifully set up for the holiday, with a great atmosphere and a thoughtfully curated drink menu. I ordered the Toxic Ex-presso Martini, and WOW -- it was incredible. Absolutely one of the best espresso martinis I've had. For appetizers, we got the Thai chili tossed Brussels sprouts with garlic aioli, and they were to die for. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and flavorful -- honestly, I could've just eaten that and been happy! For dinner, I had the Chicken Française, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My husband ordered the fish and chips and said the tartar sauce was some of the best he's ever had. My son got the shrimp tacos topped with pineapple pico and served with homemade chips -- sooo good! We ended the night with dessert (because how could we not?): a layered brownie and cookie dough cake and a maple crème brûlée. Both were phenomenal and the perfect sweet ending. We've been here for brunch before and now for dinner, and both experiences have been fantastic. I cannot wait to go back and try something new! Highly recommend!

BYO bloody!

Okay, I did not realize its location! Aren't the best places always the smallest? The BYO bloody was truly a treat, definitely a top bloody l've had around Syracuse. We also tried all 3 of the Martinis - fav was tiramisu! Then 3 of us got the banana bread french toast, which was a great twist on both dishes, and one got the hash, which was filling but lacked flavor and some crunch. Overall, would definitely try again to see how their lunch looks!

Squeeze the day cocktail, liquid sunshine

We love brunch at Brian's Landing! The menu is so creative and ever changing. There are so many fun cocktails, it is tough to choose. We went with the tried and true espresso martinis and an orange squeeze the day cocktail and both were so good. I had the hot Halloumi toast with avocado and it was amazing. Perfectly grilled halloumi drizzled with hot honey and fresh basil on top of a thick layer of avocado. My daughter had the short rib hash & eggs with charred poblano and caramelized onions, such great flavors and always a favorite.

We came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday and we are so happy we did! It was packed around 12, but we only had to wait about 20 min for our table. There was live music by a beautiful singer, who played the entire 2 hrs we were there and was perfection for the ambience. As for the food... OH MY, it was so delicious! I ordered the banana bread French toast, and also tried their take on eggs Benedict- a giant potato puff with pork belly and the most delectable sauce. YUM! It was a great experience overall, the service was excellent, and it is a wonderful place to catch up and celebrate with friends. Can't wait to come back when it is warmer to enjoy their outdoor patio.

Bloody Mary

Always amazing! We arrived at 9:45 and waited in line till opening it was a full house on Mother's Day we put our name in and told it was a 45 minute wait found a spot at the bar and enjoyed out customized bloody Mary's and ManMosa (Orange juice, vodka, and champagne). I really like the way the hostesses were able to not overwhelm the servers by seating all their sections at once we were sat in about 30 minutes and drinks and food flowed in a very timely manner. Our server was great we tried the monkey bread and Brussels as an appetizer and there was so much food the 5 of us did not make a dent in it. Three of us chose the eggs Benedict, which came on a smashed potato patty, very filling and flavorful. One of our diners had the boozy French toast, and the smash burger! Everyone loves their meal. For such a small place, we were worried when the entertainment started, but the tone was perfect. He played at a perfect sound level and was fabulous! don't let the lines out the door scare you away. It's definitely worth the wait and they do move very quickly! Great job Brian's Landing for making a perfect Mother's Day.

My friends and I came on a busy Saturday night and waited longer than expected for a table and waited about an hour for our food once ordering.. my friend was obsessed with the brussels sprouts but in my opinion everything was fine, nothing crazy

Side Caesar and lobster bisque

We went here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away, our waitress was good, food was pricey and just ok (Caesar was fine but nothing special, lobster roll was good but small portion and fries were a little soggy), drinks were pricy as well but probably the highlight, may try back for brunch.

Breakfast poutine

Have been here for dinner once before and was very good. They have a good amount of inside seating and they also have a deck for outdoor seating. Went recently for brunch. Service was great. They had live music in the bar area which was nice. For food: We ordered an espresso martini flight which was good. We got the breakfast poutine which was yummy and filling. So many good options on the menu it was hard to pick the main but I went with Huevos rancheros which was good but came with tortilla chips instead of a tortilla which was good but felt more like a breakfast nacho. My husband got the pancake benny with pork belly and he liked that a lot. Will definitely be back. Likely the best brunch in town.

Never been here before. A really nice dining room plus plenty of al fresco seating. I had the roasted Brussels with pork belly. Huge portion. Good for sharing Lovely crisp sprouts in a a dark rich sauce. I thought I could detect balsamic and soy but whatever it was, it was delicious. Looking forward to going back to try some of the other interesting options.

Brian's Landing is a beautiful restaurant with a modern farmhouse feel. The staff were simply exceptional! Truly, everyone was so very kind. I dined here on a Sunday for brunch (they only serve brunch on Sunday's). They offer a nice size menu with many options starting from appetizers, salads, main entrées and desserts to choose from. They also have a full bar (mimosas galore). We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, as well as their mimosa flights (such a great concept). Drinks and appetizers came out quickly, which was soon followed with the main entrees. My favorite item was the candy pig. My lord, this was truly the best "bacon" I have ever eaten. I believe it's more along the lines of country ham, but hey, good pork is good pork! This restaurant is perfect for all occasions. Ladies night, date night, or family dinner.

Clean and uncluttered floor space with square wooden picnic tables, which are custom-built to gather around good beer with good company. **Staff & Service** I have been to this place multiple times, and every time, the bar staff has been super friendly and helpful. **Beer** They have a rotation selection of draft beers. Additional beers are also available in cans. The thing that sets them apart is that they offer a choice of up to 6 beer flights (pic attached). So you can really explore what you like. We were a party of four and each got a flight of 6 and we pretty much sampled the entire menu! It was a lot of fun! My all-time favorite at their location is the DDH IPA (called DDH Lies) **Food** I have been coming here before the food truck was coming here, and I am really enjoying the convenience of the food truck at this location. The sliders were my favorite. But the mac & cheese was the surprise for me. It was unexpectedly delicious. **Overall** It was a wonderful experience. There is something unique about drinking beer right from its source, and Willow Rock hits the spot. Highly recommended.

So, Skytop is the perfect spot to pick up a bottle or two for the weekend. Located conveniently in Nottingham Plaza, the workers can help you find what you're looking for in seconds, plus they do carry a surprising amount of hard-to-find whiskies and brandies. However, this evening, I had simply forgotten my wallet at home, and asked if I could show the cashier my picture ID. I am proudly "of age" and have no problem showing my ID for 21+ purchases, as I have been "legal" for years now. The manager was present and, as expected (its the law of course) responded by saying that I had to have physical identification under the law. I understood and started to make my way out. I also stated that I'm a regular and that I am familiar with the staff, providing a brief description. he then said that he is the manager and that he never saw me. The manager further asked me quote, "If I Was fucking stupid". This was the MOST disrespectful experience that I have ever had at ANY establishment. I am a student veteran who has been a resident of Syracuse for several years, and a loyal patron to my community, and was extremely taken aback and offended by the manager's remarks. Perhaps, my young age or maybe even race gave the false notion that I am to be disrespected. Never at any point was I too insistent or did I disagree with me being refused purchase ( I was literally leaving the store as I was verbally disrespected, mind you) .Lastly he said to "never come back again", as earlier after I was refused purchase due to not having physical ID I stated that I would return with my physical ID/wallet. I did not plan to return after receiving the amount of rude disrespect and simply extremely UNPROFESSIONAL behavior from the MANAGER, as he stated to me what his role was. However, I am compelled to write this detailed review to warn potential patrons before they consider supporting such a disrespectful and rude establishment. I am still in disbelief and shock as I write this review, what an unpleasant, what an unprofessional, downright disrespectful experience!
