I must start off by saying, I've been providing honest objective reviews for many years; about 2…read moreyears in I was promoted to an elite reviewer for that reason. This is the most bizarre experience ever. On or around March 9 in the early evening my wife and I go into Liquor City just to buy a bottle of rum; Cashier starts to ring it up, I swipe my credit card, screen says Approved, then the cashier tells me the register computer "froze" and I need to go to a different register :/ but a nice young Lady comes and advises to come her register, and she rings me up. Right after I swipe my credit card and it gets Approved again, the first cashier comes over and says stop, you have to scan this void receipt first or it will mess up the system, so then she voids my order, scans the void receipt then her computer freezes W T H Then the first cashier tells her something like she should have known better, and walks away to get the manager or something- at this point I felt like enough was enough, keep your rum and make sure I dont get charged. I'm intentually leaving out details because its not my job to audit their staff or procedures (so dont tell me to "get my facts straight" because I'm not going for perfect accuracy just telling what happened to me a couple weeks ago when I had the chance to do it i.e. do not ask me their names) I'm giving 2 stars because previous experiences were good, so you all have at least a 1 in 10 chance - however they certainly won't see me again

If I had my rewards card I would have saved a little more. Remember, no beer is sold in NY liquor stores. Hard liquor and wine. So many choices for wine. Excellent

TL;DR: Highly recommend. Super friendly & knowledgeable staff. Curated selection of liquors…read more **Staff and Service** The staff at this place is beyond friendly. Every time I've been, I've been greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Unlike other liquor stores, you don't have to search for someone to help you here - the staff comes to you and offers assistance. One unique experience was when I was struggling to choose between two different types of scotch. The staff actually opened the bottles and gave me a sample to help me decide. I ended up loving both and bought them both. Another time, when I was purchasing wine, the staff at checkout offered to give me a chilled bottle of the same wine, making it immediately drinkable. Kind gestures like these really make a difference. **Liquor Section** The collection of liquor here is carefully curated, and it's clear that the person choosing the liquors knows their stuff. With limited shelf space, every bottle seems to be chosen wisely, which benefits us as customers. **Parking and Convenience** The parking is incredibly convenient, with reserved spots right in front of the store entrance. If you know what you're looking for, you can be in and out in under a minute. ***Overall*** This is definitely my favorite store. I love the rotating selection, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the ease of parking and quick service.

I no longer need to leave the city to find my favorite craft beers and I am so excited!…read more My husband and I popped in and were mind blown and excited to see the options available. They have most of the craft beers I seek out, such a Resurgence from Buffalo, Brooklyn Brewery, Bells, Thin Man, etc. Their cider selection is good too- 1911 everything, Citizen's, Black Bird, Nine Pin, and Woodchuck varieties to name a few. The Beer Depot had more non-alcoholic beers than I expected. There's a whole wall of cold beers in the back room too. They also carry the regular macro breweries in larger cases. One note- Syracuse Beer Depot does not do growler fills, so everything is cans or bottles. Still I'm happy to have such a wide option of beer selections closer to home now! Parking- the lot is bigger than it appears. If you're coming from Thompson Road direction take the light on Thompson and a right onto Headson Dr. I need to go back and scope out the bike parking- I don't remember seeing a rack but they are right off the Empire State Trail.

Driving past these kinds of places, you never really know what you're going to get. The sign is generic (in this case, the name is too.) Will it be really sketchy inside? Will it be small? In this case, the answer to both is no. Liquor Square is huge, with high ceilings and tons of shelves, a space that gives off a bit of a warehouse vibe. Nonetheless, this is a pretty nice liquor store. Their selection is vast and laid out in a way that makes it easy to browse. On a somewhat recent visit, a staff member saw me eyeing the whites, asked if I needed assistance, and then gave me really thoughtful recommendations on Chardonnays (which I took and didn't regret.) Also, they have a good assortment of pre-chilled wine in a cooler near the entrance, which makes it super easy to run in and grab something if you're shopping last-minute and need something in a rush. On the whole, very convenient.

This place is huge (comparable to BevMo out in the West Coast but with less beer selection). There was a ton of wine and hard liquor options. I went to a different store in Syracuse looking for some cooking wines and good coffee liquor but didn't find it. So I came here and got everything I needed. It was $41 for Madeira wine, Marsala wine, coffee liquor and Limoncello. They even had a pink Limoncello! The selection is huge and they have a ton of options. Prices aren't cheaper than other places per say.
