Extremely unprofessional. Too busy overcharging people to do something as simple as introducing himself.

I'm in limbo about this place. I remember about 2 years ago I got karatitis from an excessively…read moredry environment for my contacts. When I entered, they quickly took care of it, diagnosed what type it was, gave me the necessary medications, and got my eye patch. The gentlemen that helped me was extremely professional and I felt he knew exactly what he was doing. My parents have also utilized this place before and were happy at that time. Then there was my recent eye exam for contact lenses. I find out that they have recently separated the medical issues/nonroutine eye exams from the routine exams. Nurses of course seemed to have great bedside manner. Their receptionists though are another story. But two crucial things made me question things a little bit. I also am a loyal client at New England Eye Commonwealth in Boston, MA, but figured since this place handled my emergency with karatitis fairly well, their eye exams are the same, during my visit to Tulsa, OK, why not take of this here? Once my exam was done, it was time to try the new lenses. I look down...its the exact same lenses that I use to wear despite my numbers changing. I find out the doctor forgot to put the new numbers in my record, mind you my record was being typed up on the computer as we were doing the exam. Whatever, I can live with that mistakes happen. But I've NEVER in my 6+ years wearing lenses and getting my new lenses (usually with a number correction) had a dilation done, and then lenses put in right afterwards. Usually its 1. Find out new numbers. 2. Wear new lenses to confirm. 3. Take out lenses, then do dilation. And usually thats because your eyes are not in the best mode to be judging how the new lenses allow you to see. I later find out from my uncle the poor experience he had their just picking up a prescription for my mom's lenses. Apparently my mom called in for a prescription for contact lenses. She then asked if my uncle could pick it up, and they said yes. Uncle goes in, not only wasn't it ready but apparently he got a big attitude from the receptionist about their policy on sharing records, and almost didn't print it for him. AND when she did print it, it was a completely different person's. Well so much for enforcing your own privacy of records policy. I will say this, their wait times are short, so I would still recommend this place. Just be alert and don't give them your complete trust.

The office called me for a followup appointment with Dr. Swindell, then the office called again and…read morerescheduled me for an appointment one week later. For that appointment I showed early at presumably building A and gave them all my information. I was then redirected to building B where I had to again give them all of my information and have my picture taken. I then waited for over one hour in the building B lobby and was never called back. At that point I gave up and walked back to building A to talk with the office manager. The office manager wait added another ten or so minutes. Finally I was able to politely talk to the office manager. She mentioned that the previous office manager left last year. More importantly she said that they have had to reduce appointments by one half due to starting a new computer system from scratch. Dr. Langley proved to be a skilled surgeon for my cataracts. His office computer system, currently, is not ready for prime time. My only regret was I made a wrong choice by letting him to inject the recovery medicine into the first eye which caused a black wavy curtain to appear in that eye for some time. I should have selected drops for after the surgeries and did so for my second eye.

Do yourself a favor and skip this place! They are horrible, rip offs! They charge and charge and…read morekeep charging! They make you pay up front at the time of your appointment for needless things. They hold on to your contact RX and do not give it! I am working on getting these crooks shut down. They are not professional at all. As soon as someone walks out of the office they make fun of them. Got another bill today today and they charged me $400.00 for an eye exam! Another bill today for $119.00! Avoid this place at all cost if you wanna save your sanity! I would have given it zero stars but had to give it one.

I was not pressured at all to buy my contacts/glasses through them. The doc said, I don't care where you buy your contacts. I just want you to have some improvement over your current vision level. Their office also does an eye scan to loo for any disease process with out needing to dilate my pupils. In my last ophthalmologist I visited before my insurance changed which led me here, they never even offered such an exam without requiring me to have my pupils dilated. Because if this test, it was discovered that I have macular edema in one eye. It felt like more than just an eye doctor when I was there and when I left I couldn't of been happier having had been there!
