We had a fabulous experience at BRGR Kitchen & Bar! I ordered the Mahi Mahi burger with truffle fries, and it was phenomenal! The fish was fresh and didn't have that overly "fishy" taste that can sometimes come with seafood. The portion was large and the price was a pleasant surprise, about half of what many other restaurants charge for Mahi Mahi. Our waitress was friendly and genuinely sweet. The restaurant itself was spotless, vibrant, and had a welcoming atmosphere. It is just a short walk to the beach, making it the perfect spot for lunch or dinner after enjoying the ocean. read more

The restaurant had a casual laid back inviting vibe. The food was excellent! The flavors were very creative! I order grilled shrimp tacos which had jalapeños for heat, special jelly for sweetness, and a special sauce. Shrimp was grilled to perfection and the taste of it all was wonderful. Husband ordered a burger over a salad. The salad had so many ingredients I can't even remember but the flavor of everything came together beautifully, culinary magic. We were staying at the Sanibel Island Beach Inn with our dogs. Dogs allowed in our room, but not inside the restaurant at Brgr Kitchen & Bar. There was not even an outdoor seating area to sit and eat at. The manager suggested we take our food as a carry out. Not exactly a relaxing dinner to look forward to : small hotel room, no table, two dogs! There were, fortunately, chairs outside the restaurant and we did carry out our food and ate there. We had double bacon sliders and All-American burger. All were delicious. Especially good were zucchini fries. I would recommend adding a dog permitted outdoor seating area. read more

We came here after a day at the beach a couple of weeks ago! I'm from KC and we have a couple of BRGRs there. It was my favorite burger place, so I had to check this location out. They only have locations in 3 states, so I was pleasantly surprised. Their menu is unique to FL and I thought the setting for the restaurant was adorable. It's located in a boutique hotel right off the beach. After dinner we even took a stroll to the beach. They have a small but awesome menu! First off, this place is very hard to find. There is nothing but a plastic cow out front to indicate there is a restaurant inside. And this was a great place. Delicious! Starting with a drink recommended by Elmer, our wonderful waiter, I got their spirit-free Cool Down--muddled watermelon, agave nectar, fresh mint, fresh lime juice, and it was exploding with great flavors. I got their BISON GONE WILD--diablo-dusted bison, aged cheddar, caramelized onions, bacon jam, local lettuce, toasted brioche bun. So flavorful. Their onion rings were also delicious and their fries were also outstanding. We ended with a piece of Key lime pie, which we really enjoyed (although it was the only item I'd say was badly overpriced). And Elmer was the best. Attentive, helpful, friendly. What a pleasant experience I had at BRGR. The menu was well put together as well as the kids menu having a lot of activities for the children. They have a wide selection of burgers from a classic All-American to a seafood-like Fishmonger. I ordered the All-American burger Well-Done, without the lettuce, tomato, and onion. It came out just exactly as I ordered it. The burger was delicious and the kettle chips were amazing. As well as the Edamame was the best Edamame I ever had. Our waitress was really attentive and kin. She was checking on us frequently if we were doing alright. Very hospitable! I also loved the modern atmosphere with the wood accents with the dark and light wood and rustic chairs as well as the dark grey metal tones. I really like going to this place. It was very clean and air-conditioned inside. It's a nice big room with lots of space. It's a beautiful location as well. The hamburgers were great. They have the best french fries I have had on Sanibel and the service was also really good. I also highly recommend getting salads at this restaurant. They were all really good and had lots of delicious ingredients. I would definitely recommend going here. read more

Our family went for dinner tonight, we waited awhile before we were even acknowledged, then told that there was a long wait. They need to work on greeting and acknowledging guests upon arrival and letting them know the wait time. We did not feel welcome or seen upon arrival and neither did several other guests after us. I had the fish tacos, the pepper jam on them was excellent. Kids enjoyed the mini burger sliders! Be sure to order anything that has the pepper jam, you will not be disappointed. THE BUNS toasted brioche * gluten-free * naked (that's no bun) the waiter argued with me, that naked meant no lettuce and tomato, I agreed with him, that is a normal but the menu stated for this place it meant no bun. he continued to disagree with me. Middlin' at best, but in fairness I did not order their specialty - burgers. Lack of awareness and the early back to school found this place to be empty. Four tables over the course of an hour on a Saturday night. Started with a watermelon margarita that tasted like a regular margarita with a heavy hand on the lime. One of the worst margaritas that I've tasted. It had two small cubes of watermelon, but no watermelon juice. The mozzarella sticks were a nice size and fried perfectly. Not too greasy. But the marinara for dipping was from a jar. I had the blackened shrimp tacos which were two shrimp, not blackened, on slightly browned flour tortillas with pickled onions, pico de gallo and a white sauce. They were fine, but not special. No unique flavors. Service was fine. The slow pace probably prompted less staff, so the servers also bussed the tables and made the drinks (which is probably why mine was not good). Decor is nice. Doubles as a counter serve coffee shop until 3 pm. While we didn't get a burger, the only other sandwich is a mahi mahi sandwich which my husband tried. Fresh ingredients, but bland. Gluten-free bun or no bun available. Overall, there are better choices on the island. read more
