We came here after a day at the beach a couple of weeks ago! I'm from KC and we have a couple of BRGRs there. It was my favorite burger place, so I had to check this location out. They only have locations in 3 states, so I was pleasantly surprised. Their menu is unique to FL and I thought the setting for the restaurant was adorable. It's located in a boutique hotel right off the beach. After dinner we even took a stroll to the beach. They have a small but awesome menu! The kids loved their sliders and I loved my bacon bleu burger and sweet potato fries. I recommend checking it out if you find yourself on Sanibel island!

We've eaten here several times and loved the burgers but today I tried fish and chips. It was just OK but love this quaint little spot for one of the best burgers on Sanibel Island.

What a pleasant experience I had at BRGR. The menu was well put together as well as the kids menu having a lot of activities for the children. They have a wide selection of burgers from a classic All-American to a seafood-like Fishmonger. I ordered the All-American burger Well-Done, without the lettuce, tomato, and onion. It came out just exactly as I ordered it. The burger was delicious and the kettle chips were amazing. As well as the Edamame was the best Edamame I ever had. Our waitress was really attentive and kin. She was checking on us frequently if we were doing alright. Very hospitable! I also loved the modern atmosphere with the wood accents with the dark and light wood and rustic chairs as well as the dark grey metal tones. It really set the modern vibe as well as the menu matching the modern vibe. They kept the floors and the tables well kept and clean as well as the tabletop decor matched the modern theme.

Their burgers are good, mahi mahi salad is great, plate with mashed potato and vegi is awesome too, ny strip is very nice as well. Everything was yummy!

Middlin' at best, but in fairness I did not order their specialty - burgers. Lack of awareness and the early back to school found this place to be empty. Four tables over the course of an hour on a Saturday night. Started with a watermelon margarita that tasted like a regular margarita with a heavy hand on the lime. One of the worst margaritas that I've tasted. It had two small cubes of watermelon, but no watermelon juice. The mozzarella sticks were a nice size and fried perfectly. Not too greasy. But the marinara for dipping was from a jar. I had the blackened shrimp tacos which were two shrimp, not blackened, on slightly browned flour tortillas with pickled onions, pico de gallo and a white sauce. They were fine, but not special. No unique flavors. Service was fine. The slow pace probably prompted less staff, so the servers also bussed the tables and made the drinks (which is probably why mine was not good). Decor is nice. Doubles as a counter serve coffee shop until 3 pm. While we didn't get a burger, the only other sandwich is a mahi mahi sandwich which my husband tried. Fresh ingredients, but bland. Gluten-free bun or no bun available. Overall, there are better choices on the island.

Best burgers on Sanibel Island. Staff is wonderful- especially the manager, Jeff. Prices are respectable. Lovely setting.

The atmosphere was so fantastic and we loved looking at all the pics. Our waitress was the absolute best. We think her name was Kelly. We got calamari and Shiahito peppers. They were so amazing. We got grouper tacos, classic hamburger, fried grouper and shrimp, Parmesan oysters and chicken wings. We all gave five starts reviews! We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

There's numerous tv screens to watch all the games - some booths even have their own screen. Aside from the sports decor, The Sanibel Grill has a very similar menu to Timbers Restaurant next door - I'm pretty sure the two are one and the same and share the same kitchen. I ordered the Grouper Fish tacos. You can get them blackened, fried, or grilled. I opted for fried. Note that the Sanibel Grill is known for their signature cornflake crunchy batter - but the grouper fish tacos are the lightly breaded bites and not cooked in their signature batter. The grouper was nicely cooked - tender and delicate bites. They used corn tortillas, which didn't fall to pieces while eating, but they were pretty flimsy (it was easy for a grouper bite to roll out). The tacos are served with rice pilaf topped with black beans which was on the bland side (nothing to write home about). I would've liked a hit of lime to add to my tacos, but the waitress never came back to check on us. Service is minimal. This is bar service all around. My friend ordered the combo basket (Grouper and fried shrimp) and comes with a side of fries and cole slaw. You can hear the crunch - I can see why it's their signature. My sister ordered the shrimp scampi with rice pilaf (she was hoping for pasta but that was not a side option - it's either rice pilaf or potatoes - smashed, French fried, or sweet potato fries). It also came with fresh green beans. The shrimp were nicely cooked and super buttery. She also ordered the crab bisque which was creamy and had good crab flavor, but I wouldn't say it was overloaded with crab meat. We finished the meal with a slice of Florida's signature key lime pie. The slice was small but had giant key lime flavor. It was very sweet but this was my favorite key lime pie slice from our whole trip. The Sanibel Grill gave us average food and average service. No military discount here.

The place is casual, rustic, and come as you are. Got our drinks pdq. We decided to share a combo pot. But after some soup. Got the conch chowder. It came in a large, pretty plastic conch "shell". It was slightly spicy, but not much. In fact, there's hot sauces on the table if you need more heat. There was a nice amount of ground conch pieces in a tasty tomato based broth. It was big enough to share, btw. Then we got their combo steamed pot -- 1 dozen clams and 1 dozen oysters. This takes awhile to cook as we knew it would. So if you get one of these, order soup or an app while you're waiting. The clams are the cedar key ones. Small but tasty. We didn't use the melted butter, but asked for cocktail sauce instead. The oysters -- which you have to shuck with the provided knives -- were wonderful! I'd probably get all oysters next time. In the bottom of the pot are celery and onions which you can also eat. So glad we got to come here and enjoy lunch. We will be back next time on island.

It started as a communal drink shared during gatherings, ceremonies, and quiet moments between people who valued connection and calm. At some point that tradition drifted into Western culture, eventually creating the whole "kava café" concept. I honestly don't know when it became a popular thing in Florida, and I'm not sure anyone does. It just feels like one day you started hearing about them, and the next thing you know, these mellow little kava spots were popping up everywhere. What I do know is that my experience at Kava Culture was so unexpectedly good that I found myself saying something I never thought I would. I told them I wished they served Matcha Lattes because if they did, I'd start coming here a lot more often, even though I live a fair bit away. As someone who doesn't do cannabis, CBD, THC, or anything in that world, I walked in with curiosity and walked out feeling pleasantly surprised. The vibe, the calm, the atmosphere, and the way everyone there seemed genuinely relaxed made the whole experience feel refreshing. It didn't feel edgy or strange or outside my comfort zone. It just felt good. Real, grounded, and easy. And honestly, that alone says everything about why this place won me over.

From the outside, the place looks really cute and well-decorated. Just a heads-up--it's the second door, not the first one. I accidentally walked into the office before realizing I was in the wrong spot. Thankfully, a friendly gentleman working there opened the correct door for me. Inside, the vibe was calm and welcoming. The space was nicely decorated, with a clean bar setup and people enjoying their drinks and conversations. It looked like they also had some merch in the back, which added to the cozy coffeehouse feel. I was greeted by a bubbly barista who asked if I knew what I wanted. I didn't, so I reached for the menu and immediately felt overwhelmed. There was a lot to take in, and it wasn't very intuitive. Thankfully, the barista was helpful and offered to make me something based on my preferences. I told her I liked my coffee strong and plain--no sweet flavors or extras. She ended up making me an iced coffee with a bit of simple syrup. It was great. The flavor was rich, the coffee was perfectly balanced, and the color told me everything I needed to know. I am not someone who likes a cup of creamer with a splash of coffee, so I was happy with how it turned out. I gave this place four stars. The only reason I didn't give five is the menu setup. It could definitely be more digestible. When I came back that weekend with a guest, they had a hard time figuring out what to order too, which confirmed it wasn't just me. That said, I do plan to return. The space is nice, the staff is friendly, and the coffee was worth the visit. With a few tweaks to the customer ordering experience, this place could easily become a go-to.

The restaurant gives off old diner vibes but in a contemporary, open-concept setting. They have some fun photo ops like a motorcycle, red Corvette, and other nostalgic paraphernalia. There was even a life-size rock-n-roll Elvis. We came on a Friday evening, about an hour before closing, and they were swamped. We were seated at the bar for quick service - they had just finished the dinner rush and didn't have any clean tables available. Bar service was excellent and the bartender gave us some great nuggets about Sanibel. There were several sports games playing on the different screens. I did the build-your-own burger and got the classic 6-oz. patty with all the standard toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles), cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce. I do remember them offering more free toppings back in the day... but I recognize that times and the economy have changed. They do have several other premium toppings available for an upcharge. The burger is served on a brioche bun and they didn't ask about burger temperature. The burger meat itself was nicely cooked and nicely seasoned. Aside from the cookery and seasoning of the burger patty (which they nail), with the ability to customize the toppings, cheese, and sauces, you really have no one to blame but yourself for the flavor of the burger... I don't know about y'all, but mine was delicious ;). They also have some local favorite recommendations, such as the island burger which comes with pineapple and guacamole. I love, love, loveeeee the onion rings at Cheeburger Cheeburger - they are my absolute favorite! I got the double-serving to share with the group, and they were as good as I remembered them to be. The batter is light and crisp - every ring is the perfect bite. Pro tip: Add some onion rings to your burger for a little crunch. (This was actually one of the toppings that they used to offer back in the day... but now it's DIY.) The hand-cut fries are good too, but I'm all about these onion rings. I didn't get a milkshake and now I have FOMO... next time, for sure. Malt versions are also available. Cheeburger Cheeburger, I miss you already. Happy hour is from 3-6pm at the bar (drink and appetizer specials), and they offer a military discount to honor those who have served.
