Ordinary ice skating rink. Nothing special but nothing horrible, just the sewage smell outside of the rink. I've been in worse bathrooms and better rinks and bathrooms. The view is decent from upstairs. There's an elevator which makes the building in compliance with ADA. Parking lot with handicap parking but not many. They need a better area to just parties. There was a birthday party of about 30+ kids in the way of the upper level entrance outside of the restaurant. The party was interrupted by people walking by and the kids with skates running was dangerous if they fell or stepped on someone. Very chaotic.

i knew i was close to the rink when i smelt it 500 ft out. had it not been for that immaculate picket fence of a sign i might have missed it (i wish i did). parking spaces super close together #bumpercars the exterior was that of an abandoned warehouse, FYI rust isn't a paint color. omg your so modern with your censored doors, now let's work on literally everything else. if those doors didn't open automatically i would've though we were post- apocalypse. now that i've entered the building, i need to get every vaccine on the face of the earth. also how am i supposed to know what locker room i'm in when the TV is going mock 12 #whatifihadepilepsy. where did you get the doors for said locker rooms, Vietnam? i didn't know we used the doors as target practice... what is the suspicious drip coming from every ceiling imaginable. i've been told it's melted ice from the thing u call a rink upstairs but last time i checked, water isn't green. showers: what? every STD imaginable. there is enough shit in there to start the next worldwide pandemic. install a power wash outside instead, my professional opinion. i'm also pretty sure those vending machine's have taken a total of $124 from me, i just wanted lifesavers. the outdoor rink: putting a roof over a puddle doesn't make it a rink. the conditions in bumbleass, NY do not suffice for an outdoor rink. i'm simply not going to touch on the locker rooms of said outdoor rink because yeah. the one star given was because of that one game in the "arcade" area you guys have. it's pretty good thank you. (go army beat navy) very respectfully ur fav puck bunny

Thankfully it was warmish for this time of year as I was afraid being in the mountains we would be freezing. It is $5 to get in to park your car which is totally fine. Not only do you have access to the ice-skating rink area but you can also hike locally and explore the surroundings. You were literally inside of a mountain range so if you like walking and exploring it is all there for you. Gorgeous area! It is $5 to enter the ice skating area and $10 to rent the skates. I feel that is reasonable getting an hour and a half worth of time and not feeling over powered by a crowd... I was definitely digging it. I have not been ice-skating for at least 10 years. The last time was at Chelsea Piers in New York City which was a totally different vibe. I enjoyed myself I can see returning throughout the winter. Everyone we dealt with from when we initially entered the park to helping us with the purchase of tickets and assisting with the rentals were pleasant. I'm guessing local college students. There were several employees on the ice as well and I saw them helping out when kids and adults were falling. They weren't extra but they weren't unpleasant so happy to have them there to help us. Glad I tried out this place and looking forward to future memories here.

This rink brings me back to my childhood. It's, of course, outdoors, and super cheap with a Groupon (under $20 total, for two, with a Groupon). That price also includes the skate rental, which are readily available in all sizes. At the rink, they have music playing, and people of all ages on the ice. Although, the times I've visited, I've mainly seen younger teenagers and kids on the ice. About an hour into free skate, if the weather is warm, the rink can get a little soft and icy, but that's what you expect with an outdoor rink. The rink can get crowded at times and a lot of people tend to gather on towards the one entrance/exit. The inside ticket area offers no refreshments, vending machines or even water fountain, so come prepared and hydrated. They do have lockers, but you pay every time you open them (quarters only), so plan accordingly. Parking is easy and people are coming and going all fay, so even on the Sunday before Christmas, I was easily able to find a spot. The staff here seems to be mainly high school students, who are attentive and very friendly. Overall, a great way to spend some time outdoors in the winter.

Parking is kinda annoying but there are always spots. The real issue comes to making the trek back to your vehicle bc you legit have to climb a small mountain of stairs to get back. Watch out for ice too in winter. The rink itself isn't overly cold and I end up being comfortable in just a sweatshirt, sans jacket. Popcorn and drinks and other food available are decent prices, nothing over the top. No alc tho so um.. better figure that one out for yourself.. Security to get into West Point is great, and fairly quick, and hey, it makes you feel safer so I'm cool with that. After the games the gang and I like to go grab a drink at the Thayer after.

The locker rooms were beautiful, and the experience of playing at this arena was just as sweet. We also saw the Army Hockey boarding the bus for one of their road games.

There is a small room before entering the rink with a few tables to sit down at and put your skates on. It becomes very crowded at the end of public skating hours as everyone is in the same area and there aren't many seats so it may be easier to exit the rink a few minutes before the public skating hours end. You need to make an account online in order to use the rink which can be done beforehand or in person with the QR code at the front desk. The ice rink also offers classes for children and adults.

The skating session is a bit tricky, it can range from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours but you would always know in advance upon online signup. The public skating session is available for registration online. As with any skating place, the skates that everyone uses are no good, always good to invest in a pair, more comfortable and won't ruin the experience. It's one hockey size rink with no lockers. They have cubbies to put your shoes and might fit a really small bag. They have vending machines at reasonable prices. Parking lot has a lot of spaces but apparently it does fill up quick.
