For anyone who's into art sculptures, etc., they have a number of them throughout the park, which seems fairly recent and an additional upgrade I'm assuming. The boardwalk near the Hudson River is beautiful, with plenty of room to fit people. Decent views from that area. Some areas are a bit messy, which could be improved upon. I could not believe the many areas for barbecuing with plenty of picnic tables, charcoal grills, and some areas even had volleyball nets,. Perfect for cookouts, and nice pavilions for events. There is also a beautiful scenic lake where you can rent row boats, and fish. It is also home to the largest pool of all New York State parks that can accommodate 3,500 people.

It also borders five towns: Danbury, New Milford, Brookfield, Sherman,and New Fairfield. This is a very popular place for all kinds of water sports, and bass and trout fishing. There are two state boat launches and many marinas for docking. The shoreline has so many magnificent homes, and don't be surprised if you see a seaplane landing or taking off on the lake. This lake usually gets very busy on the weekends in the summer.

Launch at Lattin's Cove was solid jammed and the number of rude idiots just simply ASTOUNDING. No courtesy for other boaters/pwc's whatsoever. Couple of morons were camped out on the dock and screwed up everyone else's put in/take out routine. No surprise to see the NJ and NY registrations on their PWCs. While coming back in, 3 idiots on PWC's came screaming past us in the no wake zone to "beat" us to the ramp, then they sat there blocking one side of the launch. One fellow asked nicely if they could move over just a bit so he could launch his pwc and he got snapped at by one of the tattoo queens... "we're leaving in a couple of minutes". Definitely will not go back here on a weekend anytime soon. Very sad because it never used to be like this.

This section of trail, which connects Brewster to Hopewell Junction, just opened in January and I…read morehad been waiting for all the snow to disappear so I could check it out and I was not disappointed. We got on the trail at the Brewster Trail head, which is located at Castle Park in Brewster. There is a small parking area for the trail right near the entrance. The trail is nice and wide and runs alongside a disused rail line (the Maywood line, which gave the trail it's name) and for part of it, you can see in-use Metro North lines on the other side. We went north from Tonetta Lake and enjoyed the quiet and the scenery. It's very peaceful. There are large sections where there is no shade, so in the summer it could get hot so make sure you bring a hat, wear sunscreen and have some water with you so you don't roast. I love having trails like this nearby, especially a nice new trail like this. The only thing that would make it better would be if it could actually connect directly to the Putnam Trail once it hits the heart of Brewster.

The Maybrook Trailway should honestly be given the whole name from this point until New Paltz as it completes the connection. The trail runs aside a train track for which was once used for the Maybrook Line and Beacon Line for you history geeks like me. We started from the Hopewell end and walked for a couple of miles until we tire out. Two other times, we started another point in Stormville and walked west for about 2 miles. I know pretty much the whole line including the scenery along the way, it's quiet, and not a lot of action to be seen around. For those who enjoy peace and quiet, here you go. From what I've seen on the map, there are limited parking spaces for each trail spot at crossings. I'm hoping something would be addressed about that and even with bathrooms. There's more to explore on this trail.
