I still enjoy coming to Long Dock Park, but what I'm finding here is totally unacceptable. I'm coming across a lot of "you know what" on the ground, and it's not being well maintained at all, even on my earliest visit a couple of months back. I'm not sure if anyone keeps up on this frequently, but it needs to be addressed. I wouldn't be surprised the complaints the park is getting because of it. Beautiful park with gorgeous views of the Hudson. I always forget this place exists when going to Beacon since there's just so much to do and places to visit. Decided to switch things up recently and actually relax and unwind at the park while taking a quick work break while working. The views here are so beautiful and the park itself is very clean and relaxing. Sat by the very end of the dock by the steps while the water current was still low and you can get really close to the steps by the water. It happened to be a super non busy day so it was pretty quiet and relaxing with people doing Yoga or just going for walks or little picnics on the grass. Leashed dogs are allowed here so that's a plus! Can't wait to come back next time for a picnic or even do the walking trails. Parking is free but it can get crowded. read more

This is the real Beacon! Not the Main Street which charges stores. You can buy your hiking gear just on Main Street. Hike paths to see birds, beach, Lanape - Wappenger's tribe original site , see geese, rent a kayak, drums nights. Sun sets. Accessibility to all! This place is so social. If in the mood. Take a ferry across the river to Newburgh's Riverfront to eat over looking where you just were. Feet shuttles back and forth. Also rather the party boat at night. Best to take kids in day. Park closes at sunset. I have hike every , square inch of this place. So people get frighten when I pop up out of a spot the idea of, to photograph a bird. read more

This is my favorite part of Beacon. Park is for multiple purpose use- so roller blade, jog, ride bike, cone for Drum Nights (Thursdays) it's beautifully designed! Gets very busy on weekends, thus if possible best to go on weekdays, you feel the whole beach to enjoy. Personally love wild life photography, geology, studying the rocks along the beach, or walk to the point where Lenape tribe, used to come to fish. Many layers of meaning, mixed with many possibilities for all who visit. read more

Nice, easy, mostly accessible park/walking path along the Hudson. There are ample benches for sitting along the water. There is a short little path off to one side which goes through some greenery and you can walk right along the shoreline. Pretty views read more

So while still on my vacation I wanted to try somewhere different and I found this park. My first time here today and it was beautiful and clean. ( free to enter) So peaceful and many different trails to walk. Yes flat trails which I like and got my cardio in lol. The docks are beautiful if you want to just sit and relax. Definitely a nice place to come and not only enjoy the trails, the fresh air and views but maybe to sit and read and enjoy Nature. There are Porta potties and I hate using these, but surprisingly they were very clean. Only thing didn't like was no hand sanitizer inside them, but luckily I had my own! I definitely want to come back and check the other trails and just enjoy the outdoors before the cold weather comes...yuck! Lol. read more

As with most every single inch of square space in Beacon, NY-- the crowding is suffocating. Whether it's a drum circle, couples parking themselves in folding chairs, Tai Chi groups, kids screaming-- one can hardly call this a park. It is truly beautiful. But if you are looking for even 10 minutes of walking in solace, you will be bitterly disappointed. No matter if you arrive at 7am, or 7pm-- it's the same. Believe me- I tried. read more

My boyfriend wanted to catch Pokémon and I will never turn down an opportunity to get some steps in. Came here after visiting the Dia: Beacon and stopping by a pop up shop. Parking goes quick here so come early. It's a great spot to take in some great views of the Hudson River. Come here during the Fall and you can catch some beautiful foilage scenery perfect for taking photos. I really enjoyed the scenic view and will definitely be stopping by here again the next time we decide to visit the area. read more

Not much to see here as it is under renovations when we went to look around. I hope that it'll be finished by summer time. While walking around noticed that the wood flooring was coming apart. Someone should take a look at it and do something about it. Perhaps fix the floorboards? read more

This park is so beautiful. And so well kept! Why am i only finding it now..? Regardless, it has amazing views of the river and bridge, really nice little trails that take you thru some trees and such and down to a bay area of the river, and its obviously dog friendly :) read more

Long dock park is a lovely place to visit for the whole family (including your fury family aka dogs!). It is located in Beacon near the train station right on the Hudson River. There are two parking lots but sometimes it can get pretty busy and you'll have to do some creative parking.. worst comes to worst you can always park by the train and walk over to the park. There are picnic tables to chill or out at and gorgeous views. You can also walk along the beach and skip rocks or just enjoy the great outdoors. If you walk down the path long enough it connects to other walking trails/paths so you can continue your walk or turn around. read more

Beautiful views! As new residents of Beacon we are slowly exploring our way around and decided to check out long dock park. At first we thought there was only the dock area to walk around and take in the view but then we kept walking and discovered the trails.. very nice! Parking was convenient as well. read more

What park on the river is not beautiful? And this is no exception. My complaint... NO BENCHES!!!! You can sit on the rocks overlooking the river, but if you want back support, forget about it! Please City of Beacon, plant some benches on the paths with views of the river! read more
