The flavors meld together so well. It had a little spice to it, but nothing that lingered on your tongue in an annoying way. I had a seasonal latte and it was like Autumn in a cup. Baby had a mango smoothie and a breakfast sandwich. The smoothie was delicious! Sandwich was cooked perfectly and toasted up in a handheld package. The cafe itself was cute and clean. Decorated for Spooky Season, as I visited here in the Fall. Can't wait to visit Van Wert again to stop into Brewed Expressions. And kudos to the staff! They were professional, helpful, and well coordinated in their service-- communicating kindly to me and to each other and pitching in to help for efficiency. Kind of rare to see these days in the service industry...

She ordered the French Soda and the breakfast sandwich and I did a custom iced latte (white chocolate and pistachio with almond milk) and the smoked Gouda grilled cheese. Everything was very good and perfectly made. They did run out of eggs that morning so my friend's breakfast sandwich was just a bagel, cheese, and bacon. They didn't have any sauces to add to it. The workers were so friendly and helpful. They clearly know the regular customers and they stayed busy. My friend and I aren't familiar with Van Wert and the staff was happy to recommend local businesses for us to visit while he hung out. We were there on a Saturday morning and it was busy, but there's ample seating so it was fine. It was cute inside and the enjoyed the exposed brick walls.

I had not heard of dead dog coffee before, but while I was waiting for my coffee I looked them up. The owners launched their company 8 years ago. It is a family owned company located locally. The coffee they roast is hand selected. They routinely donate to humane societies as their company was launched after adopting their rescued boston terrier, who is deaf. The company is deduced to bring awareness to other animals that have special needs Five percent of your purchase is being donated to a local humane society in your honor. As an animal lover, I think the above is cool. In regards to the coffee, I ordered a salted caramel + toasted marshmallow coffee. Omg!!!! So good!!! You could taste both flavors distinctively. It was a great treat while I started my day, and it felt great know that some amazing dogs, cats, and other animals are getting some much needed help! Anyone who knows me know I love coffee, so I was intrigued about a place that sold homemade coffee syrup. My best friend swears by coffee syrups, i usually most often prefer the taste of coffee without flavoring but decided to give it a try. There were plenty of flavors to choose from but bought vanilla (for my brother), chocolate (for my mom) and salted caramel (for me). The syrups were reasonably priced, i made the purchase and they bagged it for me. The next day my family tried to coffee syrups! Omg! So good! I have been adding it to my coffee every morning! Now i am hooked! Anyone reading this should definitely get some and try it themselves!

I have heard of Biggby Coffee before, driving by it while in Lima. I wish I had tried it before, because it has become a favorite of mine! The coffee is incredible! My favorite was the Salted Sweet Tooth Latte, which was a salted caramel, white chocolate, and butterscotch flavored coffee. Perfection! I do plan on trying some other flavors, but it's hard not to order this one! My brother likes the one called tan line, which is caramel and vanilla. It also sells donut holes, which are pretty good. Its bagels, though, are to die for! Some of my favorite ever! And the breakfast sandwiches they have in those bagels are absolutely delectable. My only gripe about Biggby, the menu needs something to pair with the breakfast sandwiches, like hashbrowns! I am so glad this place opened! People in Van Wert need to try this place out!

It took about 45 minutes for the order to be done, and we had to pick it up, because they lack the employees to offer delivery. That part was annoying, but we were able to overlook it. Our total bill came to about $50, and for the amount of food, I feel the pricing is fair. The establishment is in dire need of an update, and perhaps a few more minutes spent on cleanliness, but, it wasn't bad enough to not want to eat there. It just stood out, as I'm seeing a lot of places in Van Wert allowing themselves to become dated and messy. Once home, we checked our order. Everything, right down to the garlic butter we requested, was there. The food was made very well, too. The Stromboli had amazing flavor, and not an overwhelming amount of grease. The riblets were cooked beautifully, and were quite tender. The kids devoured the cheese pizza, and the wings made for a great football snack the following day. All in all, this was a pleasant experience. I'd recommend to anyone passing through.
