I don't make it to this part of town often enough! But when I do, I try to make it a point to swing into Brew. This trip I got a Lavender Latte. I always love lavender lattes and Brew is near the top of my list for them! No different this time around. Delicious. The pastries are also quite impressive. The chocolate chip cookies are my personal favorite. Perfectly chewy and the chocolate chips are really chunks and very good chocolate. They're almost always super busy but they fly thru their orders as fast as can be while still not sacrificing quality. Everyone is so nice! And it seems like they all enjoy working there. I usually take my orders to go but they have an adorable space with a good amount of seating. TLDR - if you're looking for great coffee anywhere around the five points area... this is the place!

I happened to be in five points and wanted another cup of Java. I bought a coffee and a cookie. I was disappointed with the old & cold coffee and the $4.00 was pretty, but could not eat it. I do like the vibe here, so hopefully i can update with a more favorable review. Pros:very nice employees and vibe. Indoor and outdoor dining. Very clean bathrooms. Cons:tricky parking, coffee and cookie was not too good. Recommend? Yes

Stopped by for a strawberry matcha and stayed for the beautiful flowers! I loved the matcha, but i will get extra strawberry next time. All of the pastries looked very fresh, i had just eaten when i gor theee but i will be back to try. Service was fast and the cashier was very friendly.

Hmmmmm, cozy goodness! I'm on this side of town & got over here early & thought- there's got to be a good coffee spot right here and there was! I parked right out front and could see the long line, so I waited for it to die down before going in & suggested an update for their hours listed on Yelp. I kept it simple, brown sugar vanilla hot latte & al la carte slice of quiche. My belly is so happy right now! The coffee was delicious, seriously just comfort in a cup. The quiche hit the spot! Celsey & Lauren are wonderful, super personal- absolutely loved chatting them up!

Got their seasonal latte a couple of weeks ago - believe it was strawberry. Just incredible, wow, no notes. Very coffee forward, well balanced, the strawberry perfectly complemented the slightly acidic (in the best way) coffee. My favorite so far in JAX.

Breakfast at Brew Five Points just hits different. Their Breakfast Tacos are loaded, flavorful, and straight up crave worthy. The Blueberry Dirty Iced Chai is smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to sip. And the Kolache Sammy? Always my go to. Comforting, satisfying, and never misses. If you are doing breakfast in Riverside and this spot is not on your list yet, fix that. Your morning deserves it.

Decided to pop in for a quick bite and some coffee. The pastry I ate was wonderful! The bread was sweet and savory and came with cheese and a sausage in the middle -- It was so good! I didn't want any espresso since I came in around 3pm so I decided to just get a cup of their drip coffee. I'm not sure how long the pot had been sitting there but it was so gross. The coffee tasted extremely bitter and almost sour. I'm typically a black coffee type of person but this was so bad. Tempted to return it and get another dream, but didn't want to go through the hassle. Maybe next time I'll try something else.

I tried the iced matcha with strawberry syrup and it was DELICIOUS. It tasted like strawberry jam but also mixed so well with the matcha. Will definitely be going back!

I had never heard of BREW but the wife needed coffee so BREW here we are. I wasn't planning on getting anything but then I saw they had Kolaches so I had to try one... Well I tried two... I went with a Sausage and Cheese and a Chorizo. The Sausage and Cheese was very good. I thought it was going to be more of a sausage link when it actually was a sausage patty. The was a pleasant surprise. I will for sure be getting that one again. Now the Chorizo unfortunately was just kinda bland and you expect so much flavor for Chorizo in the first please. This one I would for sure past on. I would for sure come back for another tasty Kolaches when I need a quick bite in 5 Points/Riverside. Plus their are so many more to try.

I absolutely enjoyed the coffee here. My go to - iced latte definitely hit the spot of being rich and creamy. I also ordered the Cortado and he also enjoyed that. Even though I ordered take out, for the brief time I was in here, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Even saw that had a book club going here monthly. The pastries also looked really good. Would definitely go back to try soon in the future!

Always love seeing the newest flavors at Brew!! I had a strawberry latte that was so good and not too sweet. A great study spot or to catch up with friends!!

This was my first visit to BREW. Boy have I been missing out! I went early on a recent Saturday morning which happened to be the seasonal return for their homemade vanilla bean marshmallows. I'm usually a year-round ice coffee gal, but I had to get a hot latte so I could properly dunk the toasted marshmallow after a few bites. The level of deliciousness even exceeded my expectations! In addition to the marshmallow, I also added their brown butter pecan syrup to the latte. Honestly, I'm getting annoyed that I'm at home & not there enjoying another latte right now. It was THAT good! Oh I didn't stop at coffee though. I enjoyed a corn breakfast taco (grilled corn, cotija cheese, chimi fried egg, & chile crema) that was so yummy that I wished I'd ordered two. I also ordered a salted caramel apple scone to-go. I tried a bite of it as soon as I got home & it took A LOT of restraint not to devour the entire thing right then. It was also fantastic & I can't wait to go back!

Carried out at Brew recently on a Saturday morning. Not my first time there but it was my first time trying one of their breakfast sandwiches. Brew has carry out, dine in or cafe style. Inside is really hip and features local art. We placed the order online and it was ready within 15 minutes. When I arrived, the place was packed. All of those people knew what I didn't know prior. Brew is THE place in Riverside to get a great breakfast sandwich. Truly an elevated breakfast sandwich. I live the idea of the hash brown being right on the sandwich. Great cheese, great sausage and the sesame bagel was truly unique and delicious. Slightly lighter than a normal bagel, and extremely fresh. The cinnamon roll was stellar as well. Not quite as sweet as you'd find from some chains, that was a good thing. Just fantastic! Great coffee, great bakery and no I know, great breakfast as well.

The server was really friendly and recommended some great options for us. We ordered the following: 1) THE QUEEN - classic Venezuelan "chicken salad" with their home-made avocado mayo, cilantro and sliced avocados (also known as the Reina Pepiada). Fresh with a great balance of umami flavors! The cilantro green sauce was an amazing add-on with a little spicy kick! 2) PORKO LOCO - slow cooked pork marinated in red wine with queso blanco. Tender, moist, and very flavorful. Amazing! 3) CACHAPA - soft crispy pancake made with sweet corn and fried cheese in the middle. Flavor bomb of sweet and savory! 4) EMPANADA (BEEF) - tender, shredded beef with great flavor of savory. The dipping sauce was white, tangy, vinegary, creamy with a slight spiciness. Delicious! 5) SOURSOP JUICE - rare to find restaurants with this drink. Ate the actual fruits in my homeland in SE Asia. The juice was milky/creamy, sweet with an earthy taste. Great health benefits eating or drinking soursop -- antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, etc. Other notable item was the Passion Fruit Juice however, I did not try it. My bestie really liked it. Overall, wonderful experience at the restaurant of the food, service and great interior feeling creating a great ambiance. Definitely will visit again and try out more menu items.

I was there for a Cheeselandia event and I must say they picked a lovely spot. As soon as I walked in I noticed all of the plants scattered throughout the space. And the presence of the plants instantly gave me a peaceful feeling. I took home a piece of cake as well as a piece of spinach quiche. Both were delicious but my favorite was the quiche. The piece was big enough for me to have it two days in a row. Service was friendly and inviting. There was also a huge patio and a parking lot. They host regular events such as trivia night which I learned from reading the flyer on the bathroom wall. And they are open later than a regular coffee house. I suggest stopping in and checking them out!

Lastly, I also wish there was better seating there was one couch but otherwise you're stuck with hard plastic chairs and tables inside. When we ordered, he mumbled back and forth and seemingly didn't understand our relatively simple order, which was a bagel, egg and cheese sandwich and a PBJ on a bagel. My wife also got an iced coffee drink. The man at the counter had an attitude with us the whole time, especially after my wife asked for an iced coffee rather than the hot coffee he served. He was huffing and slamming doors and dishes, and it was really unnerving. The most egregious part was the cost. For the above three items, this man actually charged $31. I didn't even bother to argue with him and just paid the tab. There's no way we weren't overcharged, but I'm equally certain he would have resisted any attempt to examine the bill or gotten angrier... over nothing. We didn't say anything or do anything to this man other than place the order and return the hot coffee, which was his mistake. The whole atmosphere was uncomfortable, and I will strongly recommend no one visit Old Cup cafe. You will be ripped off, or retaliated against, and you will not enjoy the experience. Places like this need to just go out of business, and I can't imagine they're long for this world with so many better and more affordable spots in Avondale.
